realizing i included concepts/early ideas of the other characters, but not ash. so here, earliest concept of her i have. i had to have been 12 or 13 when i made this, and i’m like 90% sure its’s traced

ashley’s birthday is on october 4th, but she really likes to celebrate on halloween!

ashley wasn’t bullied, but because her elemental powers manifested at a young age, it caused the ppl around her to be super wary/afraid of her. many thought she was a monster or bad omen because of them.

she loves friendly sparring, dancing, rollerblading, just anything that keeps her moving! she also loves multiplayer games (personally i think she’d love lol and mk)

i don’t know much about ken, but i think she’d love val and ness! she’d be a huge fan of their styles and would love hanging out with them. i like to think ash would text lloyd while she and val are hanging out to tell him “ur gf’s more fun than you r”

jk, ash’s avatar is a cutesy idol-style one. i think the idea of performing has always appealed to her, so an idol character doesn’t seem too far fetched imo. either way, i think she’s cute :]

🧑‍🧑‍🧒 - ashley was orphaned at a young age, so no parents, but she very much considers the ninja her family! she’s often called “the baby” due to her age and tendency to act like a pouty kid (her height is not doing her favors), but she doesn’t mind it, she’s just happy to have somewhere she can call home

🧠 - this was a character i schemed up when i was eight or nine bc i really liked the show and lloyd was my favorite, so i wanted to make him a friend! she’s the master of darkness/shadows because i wanted her to be lloyd’s opposite, but i mistook his element for light??? either way, i use her as a fun character foil now. (fun fact, she’s named after ashley from the warioware games bc i also liked those at the time :])

🎮 - okay, i had to look this one up bc i didn’t hit the prime empire arc, but i like the idea a lot! i think ashley’s avatar would be very “edgy” street fashion with some nerdy references bc that’s what she likes! i’ll make a concept of it very soon, seems like fun

💀- ho boy. a lot of ashley’s trauma stems from growing up not understanding her powers while the people around her were unwilling to help. her ability to manipulate shadows manifested when she was very young and often showed themselves when she was in distress. because her power looked shadowy and evil, people in the small village she lived in talked about her being a curse or omen. this led to everyone avoiding her and seeing her as a monster or trying to provoke her to make her power show itself, so ashley was a pretty isolated kid. now she struggles with still being seen as something corrupt or evil and can’t stand to be alone

fun fact, ashley’s elemental powers manifested at a young age and appeared during moments of intense emotional distress. everyone in the village believed her to be cursed, thus she was treated as a monster that was either avoided or prodded. lloyd, on the other hand, saw her as a viable tool in his scheming to live up to his father. he didn’t like ppl picking on his sidekick though, “even if she’s a girl and a total crybaby”

oh wow, thank you for being so interested in my girl! my ninjago knowledge is fuzzy bc i watched until the “skybound” plot, so if something doesn’t add up, that’s probably why! so sorry in advance

her name is ashley/ash, (she/her) and her element is darkness! since darkness isn’t a “solid” element, the way she uses it is by creating shadowy illusions and figures to disorient her opponent and give herself the advantage

i’d think she’d get along okay with everyone (but i think they’d initially be wary since her element looks/sounds “evil”). she has an especially interesting relationship with kai since he kinda sees her as a threat at first, and ash just eggs him on bc she tends to be an unserious, playful person. she’s closest with lloyd since they grew up together. ash was orphaned at a very young age, so lloyd was the closest thing she had to a family for a long time

and she’s not dating anyone bc she is aroace!
