Yeah… I read some fanfiction about this and I thought it would be cool/cute.
And, that hair is Finn’s, as a joke for Leland (kinda) getting caught with Finn last night ;). Which is why Finn is so embarrassed.

So, I've been watching some Mater Tall Tales lately, and with me always making au's with these two, I said... why not?! Let's make Leland into each Tall Tale!
So, each tall tale is with Leland instead. But, with minor changes with him and Finn than the original Mater's Tall Tales.

Kate Rally
Kate Rally is one of my other OCs in the Cars Universe, mostly in the prequel of Cars 2 (before the Allinol case).
I mentioned her in my "Clue: Cars 2 Version" and was thinking of actually introducing her. So, here's a introduction page of her
Information about her:
- She is a Russian assassin
- She is a independent, skillful woman. She doesn't like when someone takes advantage of her. If she realizes it, at best: she'll badly hurt and scar you. At worst: she'll kill ya
- Her job as a assassin is to eliminate someone who has/or will cause terror in the future
- She will not show any emotions much because she believes it's a sign of weakness. Which is important to avoid if you're killing people for a living. So she'll appear cold most of the time
- She might be pretty on the outside, but she is dangerous on the inside
- She did have a difficult childhood while growing up, but it's something she never wants to talk about (and I haven't thought out that far into her backstory yet). But it becomes one of the reasons she became a assassin
- She works in a assassin organization in Russia, who's job is to get paid by anyone who requests this "particular" person to be eliminated (If they show valid evidence that this "specific" person is dangerous)
- But, one day, Kate is requests by someone to eliminate Finn McMissile. Who tells and shows fake evidence that Finn McMissile is a dangerous politician, and "who needs to be taken down quickly." So, Kate believes and agrees to kill Finn
- But the assassination goes wrong, which causes Finn to get shot in the shoulder and causes CHROME to go on a lookout
Short Story: Leland and his buddies find out that the assassin worked in the same Russian organization and meet Kate Rally (who, at first, want to take them all down). But, finds out she has been lied to about Finn and helps Leland to find that person and take them down (mostly because she doesn't like being messed with). Which causes a bond between Kate and the gang.
- There even is a side plot of Kate and (another OC of mine and Leland's friend) Copper. Where Copper likes Kate because she's really attractive and cool, but Kate doesn't want any of him because she thinks he's an idiot. Which becomes a idiot tries to win the love of the cold, cool girl cliché :)
- So now, she has some connection with Leland and the gang. So, if a mission comes up, she'll sometimes step in and help the gang.
- She might be a heartless killer, but inside, she does care about the people she trusts (even if she won't admit it)
Bonus: She was actually based on another deleted scene in Cars 2. Like Copper and Oscar, she was introduced as Guilia in "Train To Spain" deleted scene, where she was a double agent. But, I kind of found out about her after I made Kate Rally. So, this is kind of my interpretation of this character, with some changes.
But, hey, I made another character! I'm kind of saddened about not having all the details about her, but what can you do!. If you have any suggestions about Kate, or my other characters, I'll be happy to look through them.

Aftermath - Finn X LeLand short fic
Inside the room was dark, aside from the light from outside the window. But even in the low light, one could see it was-- or had previously been-- some sort of bedroom. Now though, it seemed it was just a memoir room. Inside, pictures lined the almost a whole wall, aside from a few shelves with random trinkets and such. A desk was near the window, papers and files scattered across it messily. On the desk was a picture of Finn and a man dressed in a red suit, which was high contrast compared to Finn's slate grey. The glass was cracked and the frame partially split. A stack of books, possible diaries, were stacked up in a small container, stacked three high and two long. A record player, completed with a crate of vinyl disks, sat on a small table. He played the desk that had remained there for an eternity. The whole room had a strange feel. The room itself felt empty, as if a presence was missing. Another picture of a tall, younger, chiseled man in front of a blue mustang with black stripes. The picture, or the man in the picture, seemed to shout, 'Hey, look at me and my car! I'm a badass.' as the man was leaned towards whoever was holding the camera.
A bed was pressed against the the middle of the right wall, the sheets looking stale. They had sat far too long with nobody touching them. The Brit ran his fingers over the duvet, feeling it sink under his gentlest touch. He frowned, looking at the clock; It was stopped, holding the permanent time '1:00 am'. It was the hour he'd seen Leland on the oil platform. The last time he'd ever seen his friend-- His best friend. His favorite person. His person. He recalled the last conversation so vividly it almost hurt.
"Be careful on that platform, Leland." Finn sighed, fiddling and fumbling with his hands. Leland turned, almost ready to say some smartass comment-- But he faltered. "I will be. I'll come home within a few weeks." He spoke, striding over to Finn. He kissed the man's jaw, near his ear. Finn just smiled, "When you come back, we can take a bit of leave." He joked lightly. Leland smiled and hugged him, "I'll be back, love." He said, opening the door. "I love you. Come back in one piece." Finn gave that smirking grin he always gave. Leland grinned back, "I love you more. I'll come back in one piece, I promise." He shut the door.
"You promised." Finn murmured, picking up a folded jacket. He messed with the fabric, an empty look in his eyes. He wanted Leland home in one piece. If Finn was being honest with himself, he would have killed Zündapp. However, Finn knew that it would fix nothing. No amount of revenge could bring back Leland or mend the pang he felt in his chest when Leland was mentioned. And if he had killed Zündapp, it would have put a bad impression on Holley, as it was her first mission.
Finn looked up, seeing the pictures that still hung. Finn was in more than 80% of them, he guess. And Rodney Redline was in about 5% or so. But Leland,,, Leland Turbo was in likely 90% or more of the photos. His black hair and intense yet friendly, icy blue eyes were fixated on where the camera was. He always was photo-friendly. Rodney had been lost too, in Toyko. Finn had been looking forward to seeing a familiar face-- and he never got to.
Some part of Finn's mind blamed himself; He should've just went and met Rod. He should have, he should have, he should have. That was how nearly 90% of his thoughts containing Rod Redline and Leland Turbo started-- He should have been there. But it was over. Leland and Rod were no longer around.
"I should have," Finn choked on his words, burying his face against the jacket.

So, I came up with an idea of picking out different movie clips from Cars, and redraw them in my own style!
I decided redrew Leland’s final message, but with a little twist! I wanted to try something new. So, I decided to attempt realism.
I’m SO PROUD of myself!!! I’m pretty sure I’ll do more of these redraws, I had a lot of fun with this one
