Canto III has me utterly baffled. I don't even know how to describe what the hell just happened.
Typing all of this freshly out of Canto III's ending so i might get some stuff wrong, I'm still processing it all.
I have to agree with what Dante said at the bus.
God, we lost so hard. I was so hoping Sinclaire would have his moment and cut her head straight off or something. Demian's appearance made the ending feel disappointing, frankly. Not even in a canto I way, where we lost and got the bough taken right from us. That set up future conflicts and established future villains. But this just felt... meh... I guess not everyone can have their moment though, unfortunately.
Other than that though, the battles were rough, but after i figured out the weaknesses and stuff i was blowing through them. The enemies were fun to fight when you got a handle on them (though some less than others).
Sinclaire's story is... really confusing and tragic, and even now im still not fully sure what Kromer's motivation was. She wanted to kill these people... and why? She's just evil? I guess it's not too dissimilar to real life prejudice, where there isn't really a good explanation. Just hate. Along with that though, what the HELL was in the vents? and WHY? Were Sinclaire's parents ALSO the bad guys...? They did pressure him into something he didn't want, which is kind of terrible- but still.
Along with that, what was up with Demian? It'll probably be explained in the future but. Huh? What? Why is he floating? Why is he grey? What's the symbol on his head mean that ive collected four of already? Why did that never come into play? Or maybe it did and i didn't notice? Not sure.
I do like how Meursault got more than 3 lines this time.
Effie and Saude fucked me up, of course. Less than Yuri, but still.
In short. Good canto, though confusing and kind of disappointing ending. They got kebabs though so that made it better.

Yknow i have a lot of praises for Limbus Company, but one has been on my mind a lot recently. Mostly concerning Dante. Usually, in games like these, Dante would be the faceless, nameless protagonist, usually only going by a title. They're a fill-in for... you. But honestly? That's really boring, and kind of immersion breaking. Sometimes to a comical degree. And, worst of all, it becomes this... dead weight for the story.
But Dante? No, they're not the average faceless protagonist- Although quite literally faceless, they're an ACTUAL PERSON with independent thought and wants and needs. they're awkward and say things i wouldn't say, does things i wouldn't do- And i love that. they're a character I've grown to love because they're stumbling around and trying to figure out this whole "manager" thing while everything around them is trying to either murder them, or is yelling at them for not doing things right. they're relatable, without being a cardboard cutout of a person. they suffer, they feel joy, they grow connections with people- The moment when they were insulted for their clock head in canto II and sent Outis out like an attack dog, as funny as it is, really shows how they're... a person. A flawed one, an insecure one, one who fucks up a LOT.
But they are a person. And i love that about them.

Opinions on Heathcliff?
If i had to rate him id say like a 5/10 sinner. I don't tend to use him in combat since i don't have any identity for him (yet). He also got a 13 on a check where the maximum was 13 which was neat i guess.
As a character, he has a tendency to be annoying at times (Though i suppose all of them do), other than that though he's pretty funny and relatable. I assume he's got some deeper reason for why he's so aggressive, probably similar to Rodion if i took a guess (ie, he grew up in a shitty place, probably poor).
Other than that... well, he doesnt really appear enough for me to be too interested in him. I do hope he ends up getting some kind of development in canto III or VI, i think that'd really bump him up some more for me.
Y'know i was trying to be silly about my Don Quixote hatred but canto III has got me genuinely mad at this bitch. Like you IDIOT i understand you were trying to do good but you didn't have to get on us on a LIST. and now Vergil is on MY ASS because of it, along with the 3000 TSA death squad units heading to our location.
Canto I ending: We've failed, and there's nothing we can do to change that. But we cant stop here, and let all of our pain and the death of the ones we cared about be in vain. We must go on, with nothing but our broken bodies, pride, and past.
Canto II ending: 99% OF GAMBLERS QUIT BEFORE GETTING THE GOLDEN BOUGH AND FIXING SOCIETY FOR REAL THIS TIME GUYS

This bastard has seized me by the neck and stole the favourite sinner spot from Gregor. I need to obtain each and every single one of his identities just to read all the uptie stories and dialogues. The game already spoilt me, I drew 2 000 IDs in one pull and one of them was him. It might be emotional manipulation but man is it working. I'm stuck on Canto V and will explode if I get spoiled when his canto comes out.
Think my unobtained favorites are Fanghunt (insane) and R Corp (desperate for ibuprofen), while favorite ones that I have are Dieci (key sounds make my brain ding) and Tingtang gang leader (gambling and also blood. did i mention the blood). He doesn't speak much but when he does, he's either being the most oblivious person in the room on purpose, saying the most therapy-needing statements you've ever heard, or getting on everyone's nerves. Maybe all 3 at once, who knows. But somethings so off about him that he's trying to keep hidden and I'm waiting for his canto to strap him to a vivisection table to forcefully out his secrets

also, while I was drawing, I wondered if it was okay to mimic the style of the game
Like, yes, it's cool, I can draw something in the style of the game, but the problem is that I gradually adopt the style itself and lose my own But it's convenient for me to draw like this, in terms of, I can't do a lineart and I immediately do the painting (like the original artist I think? I just found that we had similar techniques and I wanted to reach his skill level in this, but now I feel guilty that I'm just copying his style)
