okay tysm !! i ended up buying my other idea for my soul gem (a necklace) because it felt for convinient, but this is good to know !!!
also, i doubt i'll be altering my wish once i make it, because of what my wish is, but just in case, thats also good to know
thanks !!! ^_^
A few people have asked me what I would consider to be valid work for a magical girl. In a similar vein, I’ve seen a lot of folks here struggle with the idea of ‘concepts’ and feeling that they need to conform to a preconceived notion of what magical heroes do.
This post has been a long time coming but I think I’m finally feeling confident about what I want to convey here. If you’ve been waiting on this, thank you so much for your patience and I hope it helps you in your journey!
This post is part of my Magi Praxis series. If you have any suggestions for future topics, or you have attempted anything I have shared and want you share your experiences, please send me a message! I am always happy to go back and provide further explanation as well. ☆
While tasks like tracking down Labyrinths and vanquishing evil entities seem to be almost standard for many magical girls, these by no means define what it means to be a magical hero. I would also go so far as to say that you do not need to transform, whether that would be physically or astrally, to be a magical girl.
Our jobs boil down to a simple idea: to make the world a better place. How we then decide to go about that is what ultimately makes our individual approaches and practices unique.
While a statement like ‘making the world a better place’ can seem grandiose and unachievable, we can decide to start smaller or on a more personal level. Realistically, it may be more feasible and responsible to approach your work in a way that makes the world better for you, your friends and family, or your communities.
We do not all need to tackle big, existential problems through our magical duties—especially if you’re just starting out on your journey. Focus on making the world happier, more welcoming, and more habitable for you. This may take the form of self-care, confidence boosting, or glamours through the use of magia. You can also do this through volunteer work, community building, and mutual aid; I often find that helping others helps me with my complicated feelings of confidence and self-worth.
This is not to say that the astral battles and the like aren’t worthwhile, but they should be done with the goal of making our world and communities better—however you envision that to be.
g’day all! i’ve been doing tarot for about a year now and to help myself improve i have decided to do some readings for those in need. here are my guidelines! rules/guidelines: - please give me your name! if you aren’t comfortable with giving your full name you can just use your initials. - one question per ask! i am only pulling one card for each question (for now!) - please do not DM me! i will not give you a reading if you DM me, please use my ask box! - i do not answer law/medical related questions. - please give some feedback! if you have not given me feedback i won’t read for you again. feedback not only helps me improve but it also helps me reach others. please tag me in said feedback. i also can help with dreams! if you have had a dream and are unsure as to what it means feel free to send an ask about it! i may take some time for me to get to your question, please understand that tarot can be rather draining and i sometimes need breaks! i will eventually get around to your reading!

Kitchen witchery is a versatile and easy form to bring magick into your daily life. It is a warm, nurturing and down-to-earth way to practice magick and it is a fantastic path to try if you are broom closeted and need to keep your craft secret or outwardly invisible to others.
It defines every kind of magickal working that combines cooking, baking or culinary mixing and witchcraft. You could even stretch the definition as far as to include magickal crafting or work that is done in the kitchen.
Kitchen witchery can be performed in two different ways:
food rituals;
kitchen magick.
Birthdays and weddings are considered a food ritual because of the cake and candles – it is a means of happiness, good luck and for your wish to come true. It is about eating together and the celebration of the event that is taking place. Witches usually have celebratory meals when it comes to Sabbaths.
Kitchen magick is the practice of manipulating the energy that’s around us and in the food, making an intention known and trying to have it manifested.
Food is a magickal tool that can help you in immense ways!
A kitchen witch is someone that practices their witchcraft in the kitchen and weaves their magick into the food they prepare.
There are different types of kitchen magick, such as:
Energetic magick is all about infusing food with energy and intention. This can be done through meditating on or visualizing a certain outcome, feeling an emotion or goal that will be worked into the food.
Common ways to do so is to stir it with a wooden spoon or simply mindfully blessing a meal.
Rune, symbol and sigil magick usage is a common way to work magick in the kitchen. This can be done by drawing them into pie crusts, bread and stirring them into sauces or into your morning coffee. You can also draw, carve or burn them on your cooking tools for different goals. This way you can draw a specific intention into your food.
You can infuse your morning coffee with magic ingredients, like cinnamon or vanilla, and stir it with intention.
If you are working with spells of health and healing, it is worth looking into herbs as they not only have magickal properties, but also medical.
It is important to choose the method that resonates with you and your needs. Make your kitchen a space where you feel comfortable and at ease.
Every act of cooking and preparation can be infused with magick and carry energetical significance – for example, washing your hands and ingredients can be used to cleanse negative energies or anything undesirable.
Kitchen witchery is free and not fixed, so you don’t really need anything. A lot of witches love using tools, such as:
cups, bowls and pots possess loving energies. Rounded pots and bowls are generally associated with Goddess energy, as they were most commonly used to feed and nourish others in older times – they hold and contain sacred food, which is our key to life. Pots are associated with The Great Mother.
Element: Water;
the oven is seen as a symbol of the Divine, as well as transformation. Ovens have been used in various forms for many years and thus are preferable to newer inventions like microwaves when magickally cooking.
Element: Fire;
plates and platters generally represent the Physical world, money and abundance. They are ruled by the Sun.
Element: Earth;
spoons are mini bowls on handles, so they strongly correlate with bowls.
Element: Water;
forks are sacred, as they are the main tool for eating. They are ruled by Mars.
Element: Fire;
knives are associated with life and death, as knives can be used to bring about both stabbing and cutting food to eat. They are ruled by Mars.
Element: Fire.
My dad: “This is a CHRISTIAN family and WE don’t believe in astrology in this family.”
Also my dad: “I’m an Aries 😌✨🌸🧚🏽♂️🔮”
love to see it happen irl 🥰
i bought an ipad for school and to start my virtual grimoire! I’m so excited to start it up!
i wanna find a cute little table or tray for these crystal jars and use them for moon water or oils.
Going out to harvest some rosemary, basil, and other herbs in the garden today!
I think my first goal of the second year of witchcraft is to get better at meditation. Ive been pushing it off and I know I can get away from it forever
I have been practicing witchcraft for a year now! While I am still a beginner in my craft and spirituality, it’s crazy to see and feel the impact of witchcraft has had on my life. I can’t wait to figure out and write out my goals for this next year! I constantly want to learn about witchcraft and it’s many aspects especially what path I am on. I am planning to post more on here but it depends on my work schedule. I’m excited to see what the year holds for me

Sweet fruits: especially apples
Seashells: of all kinds

Seawater: if you don’t live near the ocean, make your own saltwater for Her
Olive oil: olive oil is liked by many deities
Golden honey: honey is another liked gift by many gods
Sweet perfumes: offer Her the whole bottle or wear some as a devotional act
Poems and hymns: make them about Her or about someone you love
💗Sweet devotional acts💗
Practice self-care and self-love
Feeding birds, bees, and fish and taking care of nature
Dancing
Enjoying the beauty of the world
Masturbate in Her name if you feel comfortable doing so
Music, either your own or a playlist that reminds you of Her
Remember to tell the ones you are close to your love
Do a little extra for yourself - a spa day, new clothes, go a little extra on your makeup even if it is just a normal day for you, etc.
💗Cute altar ideas💗
An altar to Aphrodite should be as beautiful as you can make it. Decorate it with ocean motifs, roses (real or fake), flower garlands, nods to Her sacred animals (doves, swans, dolphins,) art of Her or erotica, rose quartz, pearls, and bright colors that capture feelings of love and the sea. An altar beside a window, on a windowsill, a vanity stand, or somewhere with a mirror. If you need to keep it secret or wish to keep a travel altar, try to keep her altar in a pretty box adorned with floral or sea decorations or something like a makeup pouch.
Having an outdoor garden altar is also a perfect option for Her - make it bird and bee friendly, use organic products (ones without pesticides) on your plants, have bird-feeders around, and have a little place where you can safely light a candle or incense for Her along with an offering bowl and a place for you to sit and enjoy the beauty she brings to you.

A lovely little Tarot Cheat Sheet I put together.
What is tarot?
Tarot is a method of divination. It is used as a tool to project and unravel our inner self, our thoughts and feelings. Each tarot card symbolises something different. When seen together in a reading, they tell a story. This story relates to our lives and can influence the way we see our future.
How do the cards work?
There are 78 cards in a tarot deck. 56 of the cards are part of the ‘Minor Arcana’ and the other 22 are part of the ‘Major Arcana’.
Each card in the Major Arcana represents a stage in the journey from ignorance to wisdom. They represent different archetypes and which archetypes are in play for each reading. The cards are part of a progression and therefore it’s important to remember where each card comes from and where it goes.
The 56 cards of the Minor Arcana deal with specifics rather than the big picture. Once again, each card represents a point in a pathway. However, unlike the Major Arcana, the Minor Arcana is spilt into 4 suits and therefore there are 4 paths.
What are the cards of the Major Arcana?
The Fool, The Magician, The High Priestess, The Empress, The Emperor, The Hierophant, The Lovers, The Chariot, Strength, The Hermit, The Wheel of Fortune, Justice, The Hanged Man, Death, Temperance, The Devil, The Tower, The Star, The Moon, The Sun, Judgement and The World.
What are the cards of the Minor Arcana?
There are four suits in the Minor Arcana. They are the Wands, the Cups, the Swords and the Pentacles. Each suit has the cards 2-10 as well as an Ace, a Page, a Knave/Knight, a Queen and a King.
What do the suits represent?
The Wands represent creativity, desire and will. Their realm is physical. Their element is fire. They are active.
The Cups deal with emotions, relationships and love. Their realm is spiritual. Their element is water. They are receptive.
The Swords represent reason, logic, action and intellectual endeavours. Their realm is spiritual. Their element is air. They are active.
The Pentacles relate to worldly things: the body, finances, sensuality. Their realm is physical. Their element is earth. They are receptive.
How do I get a tarot deck?
You can be gifted one, you can buy one or you can make one. It’s up to you.
Are tarot decks oracle decks?
No. Tarot decks and oracles decks are both methods of divination but they are not the same. Neither is better than the other; you’ll just have to see what you prefer.
How do I bond with a deck?
You can sleep with it, interview it, shuffle it or just use it.
What do I do if I have more questions?
You can google them, message me, travel half way around the world to find the answer, climb onto my window ledge at 3 am etc etc. Basically, do whatever works for you to find the answer.
What do I do if I want a version of this post but on Instagram?
Never fear! I admin on a witchy Instagram account so if you go to @witchbitchditch on Instagram and scroll to 6th February 2018, you will find all the info in this post PLUS some tips and more info. :))
As I’m beginning to plan for my future, my girlfriend and I agree upon one thing: we want to travel. We want to buy a bus and go just about everywhere. But if my life is spent on the road how do I fit in witchcraft? Well, here’s my four R’s.
• Research! Research about where you’re going. Find out about the history, plant life, animal life, weather, etc.
• Respect. Don’t even think about practicing anything from a closed culture that’s not yours. Respect the local wildlife. Remember that you are merely a visitor. If you’re performing a spell somewhere don’t leave anything behind (including energy) pick up and cleanse after yourself. The list goes on but just remember your manners.
• Resourcefulness! You don’t need super expensive tools to practice witchcraft. Travel altars, homemade tools, and the like are just as powerful!
• Routine. Start a routine you can take with you anywhere. Meditation, visualization, affirmations, gratitude, and so many other tools will help you create an routine that you can keep with you wherever you go.
Comment with any other tips you have! Happy witching!
My third round of candles have been my best yet!! Minimal disruption from the drying process and the wicke aren’t immediately burning down! Imy deities seem to like them so far!
