It's probably been mentioned before but I just thought about how jon asked Martin if he was a ghost in mag 39 and then Martin essentially became one when he joined the lonely.
I'm reading Book Of Longing by Leonard Cohen and some of this is making me think of the magnus archives.

It’s quiet but I swear it’s there behind the water sounds.
