I’ve been watching a play through of Rain Code and i’m only on chapter 4 so no spoilers!
I think it would be monumentally funny if Shingami was coded out so we can see how weird Yuma looks talking to her

i feel kind of bad bc if yuma falls ill he at least has the nda to watch over him, definitely will help him feel better. Even if they dont see it themselves the nda do care for each other, and in a way theyre each other’s family and backbone.
Anyway. bouncing off the fact makoto works alone, i doubt he’d have any kind of help when he’s sick. Maybe a Peacekeeper coming in to check on him every now and then, but otherwise he’s kinda by himself too sick to get himself back to work. Little to no one checking in and actively helping him

I wanted to point out something I read in this article. It explains perfectly exactly why Yuma and Makoto are my prime targets for this.
Let’s talk about the absurd logic of a cold in japanese anime/media for a bit w this quote.
"The deadly anime cold often strikes in two cases: when the character is either exposed for too long to the rain or they're overworked and exhausted. In both cases, the result is that the anime character falls gravely ill, often being entirely unable to even leave their bed."
…Are you for real? Come on. You KNOW this cannot be a coincidence 😂
One is always wandering in the rainy streets for hours, while the other is constantly busy and swapped with work, and he does all of it ALONE with little to no breaks.
Both of them are exposing themselves to the “deadly” anime cold that leaves them bedridden and unable to do anything about it. And with their weak and frail bodies? They are down within the evening.
Therefore, they are equally prone to being severely ill meaning they are both the frailest characters in the series. This is canon I don't make the rules. The game makes it too easy... XD

The fact that the bwm is when the homunculi took place of real people seems so surreal. The homunculi weren’t always there. Their real versions are dead and rotting. It’s CRAZY to think that the Yakou Furio that we know—The REAL Yakou has been dead for 3ish years. The last thing the REAL Kurumi Wendy ever saw was her homunculus killing her. The entire time we interacted with homunculi while their real versions were long gone.
And we wouldn’t have been the wiser
little to NO ONE questioned the pink blood because were so used to danganronpa’s signature pink blood. The fact that it was odd was RIGHT IN FRONT OF US when Yuma’s finger got cut in chapter 1 and no one batted an eye is crazy too. (Which, to be fair, it looked a little rosy anyway). Rain code tricked us without even trying.

Good day, everyone! I’ve decided to hop back in Tumblr for a sec to introduce a new ship involving my faves: Gentlespiritshipping! I’ll share more details about them below the cut, along with an alternate version of the artwork:
Summary regarding Melami Goldmine: A Master Detective hailing from the WDO (World Detective Organization) who has the Spiritism Forte, which allows her to use her body as a medium in order to channel deceased spirits. Also known to get quite passionate about beautiful, heartwarming clothes and general fashion, her connection to the dead should allow her to sense otherworldly beings, but not fully see them.

Summary regarding Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck: A high-tier Arrancar spirit who used to serve Sosuke Aizen in Hueco Mundo, once ranked as the third strongest Espada out of the Arrancar Army. Also known as a dutiful warrior who prefers to avoid unreasonable fights, her signature move is Cero Doble, which allows her to absorb energy-based attacks through her mouth and redirect them with greater force.

So, why did I start shipping two characters from entirely different series? Because they’re my faves, that’s why! I only recently got into Bleach thanks to Rebirth of Souls, but it was enough to get me hooked on its overall premise, with Nelliel easily being my favorite character! I’m still in the middle of reading the actual manga, but I still felt the need to start creating material regarding her and Melami together. I feel as though their main dynamic could be a pair of gentle but eccentric women trying to understand each other’s world, with Melami trying to keep her mysterious image by not completely losing it every time Nelliel uses a modern term the wrong way. Canonically our Master Detective shouldn’t be able to see Nelliel in the first place, but idk, I feel that someone like Urahara could solve that problem very easily.
Anyway, here’s both an edit and the alternate version of the artwork above!
To any Bleach fans out there, let me know if there’s anything I got wrong, or if there’s more elements from Bleach I could implement into the ship! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MELAMI GOLDMINE!!!
AHHHHH IT’S BEEN A YEAR OF LOVING MY FAVORITE COMFORT CHARACTER!!! I am super happy to have come across Rain Code a year ago and seeing Melami for the first time; I’m proud to say that a year has passed and I’m still insane for her! Appreciating her for this long means a lot to me, given I’ve always wanted to have a character to obsess over. Even if we never got to see much of Melami in canon, fact is that I will always have a special place in my heart for her.
And now, here are some unfinished sketches and insane ramblings I’ve had about Melami:

Melami Goldmine - Master Detective Archives: Rain Code

Based on one of Rain Code’s loading screen facts that says Melami has created her own designs for the WDO uniforms that the organization rejected.
It made me think about earlier today: “How would Melami look like in casual clothing?”, and: “How would she look like designing her own clothes on a drawing tablet?”. I’m glad I got to draw my ideas before I lost interest, as the world always benefits from having more Melami.
It’s a head-cannon of mine that Melami designs clothing at least as a pastime, if not as an actual job (with her career as a Master Detective being more of a side gig/second job for extra revenue). I’m also glad I got to draw something based off of that head-cannon 😁
Also! The second drawing has a few details, the first one being that Melami having glasses and drawing tablet is based on me also having those things. I can imagine Melami wearing glasses for when she needs to design something, as I highly doubt she has the exact same eyesight I have.
I also added the little pose she does with her arm, something that I noticed in some of her images. I suppose that’s her default pose? 😅😂
