Reminder
Your sadness is valid.
Your frustration is valid.
Your pain is valid.
Your jealousy is valid.
Your hurt is valid.
Your disappointment is valid.
Your shame/guilt is valid.
Your regret is valid.
Your anxiety is valid.
Your happiness is valid.
Your enthusiasm is valid.
Your passion is valid.
Your love is valid.
Your emotions are valid.
No matter what your emotions are, they are valid. You are allowed to feel.
But that does not mean your reactions may be valid too. You cannot hurt other people because of your emotions. You are responsible for your reactions to emotions.
Responsibility does not dismiss your validity of feeling a particular emotion.
Reminder
It's okay if you didn't achieve the things that you worked hard for.
It's also okay if you did.
It's okay if you feel like you didn't try harder.
It's also okay if you did.
No matter what people say, you did your best.
If you didn't achieve the goal that you said you would, people will say "She didn't try hard enough"
If you did achieve the goal, they would say "She sacrificed too much"
No matter what, people will talk
So, be gentle to yourself.
There's no way I'm going back with something I don't like.
There's no "New year. New me". There's only "New year. Old me with modifications." So, don't wait for the new year to work on yourself. Take small steps now so at the end of any year, you can actually say "I'm really happy with how I was this year and I'm only hoping to be better for the coming years". There's absolutely no time frame for changing yourself.
A technique i use to calm my anxiety sometimes is just think about this question "Would this (thing/person/problem) be relevant if I was on my death bed or on the verge of dying?" Like obviously not. The thing you're probably worrying about would not even have an impact on your next day because life goes on. Whether you like it or not. It will go on. So.... Rather than panicking and not getting any thing done, it's better to panick and get things done, it actually helps with the panick.
A reminder to everyone who feels overwhelmed. It is okay. It's okay to be nervous because of the work overload. It's also okay to be overwhelmed by the work you had to do but procrastinated. It's okay. It's going to be okay. Start now and everything will be okay. It's better to complete atleast half or quarter of the work then not do anything at all.
