Hidden Beneath my Ribs

A self-indulgent bkdk fanfiction :)

It was all boiling up to this very moment. I looked up into ruby red eyes and felt my gut squeezed tight. My heartbeat was so loud, nothing but the steady thump could be heard. Then breaking through the deafening panic of my heart, a shaky breath captured all my attention.

Against my mind's better judgment, I reach out my hands to capture his big hands in my small damaged ones. He intertwines our fingers together, squeezing past my crooked knuckles. I know despite how scared I feel, I smile at the thrill he never failed to bring me.

Katsuki Bakugo was my everything. Now he knew he was. He was everything I wanted. He was everything I craved. Now he towered over me, coating my skin in goosebumps and igniting my skin.

Something possessed me, making me tilt my head. The magnetic force that was Bakugo Katsuki enticed me to come closer. He met me halfway, letting go of my hands to capture my face. His hands gently guided me to him, his thumb dusting over my freckles.

It felt like time stopped and started instantaneously. My mind went blank as all I wanted to do was indulge. He was perfect. Flawless in every way shape in form. His choices and actions have molded him into a person I wouldn’t trade for the world. His hands, his heart, his dumb spiked blond hair, his sharp eyes, and his lips. Oh god, his lips.

I cry as he kisses me. I grip the fabric of his tee, pulling him closer. I want to feel his heartbeat pounding against my chest. Our lips part, but our bodies remained pressed together. He looks at me and I feel the emotions swarming in his expression.

All I can do is cry as I declare my love like a mantra.

“I love you. I love you. I love you.”

In exchange for my declaration, warm, strong arms encase me as a gruff whisper reaches my ears and fills my heart.

“I love you too.”

I hide in his embrace, unable to fathom how lucky I am. I am beyond blessed to have someone so special, so irreplaceable, love me back. I’ve lived in a world where Katsuki didn’t exist and it’s a world I can’t say I’d survive long in.

I’m so overwhelmed, that my crying doesn’t relent. I’m so grateful.

“Why are you crying?” he asked in an uncharacteristically gentle voice.

“Because I’m so happy.” I cry, tilting my head to peek up at his face.

I feel his heart thump, thump against my skin. His heart is beating just as fast as mine. All it makes me want to do is kiss those addictive lips again. He beats me to it, capturing me in a kiss that made my knees buckle. Still, I want more.

Green. My favorite fucking color. It took me too long to realize that I couldn't function without him. A month without him and I was falling apart at the seams. He radiates a liveliness that takes my breath away. His beauty makes it hard to breathe.

Now he was in my arms, smiling as I kissed him. His knuckles against my back, sending a chill up my spine. That feeling had never been more welcome than it was at this moment.

Everything about him was addicting. He was an irresistible craving that was always satisfied, but I still want more. Now that I knew he felt the same, I didn't have to hold back. I could love him in all the ways I wanted to. That thin line that had been holding me back was now nothing more than a memory.

Izuku Midoriya and Katsuki Bakugo. Two puzzle pieces that fit perfectly. It took them three tries, but they snapped into place on the fourth. They were a pair that only fit each other and not even fate could change that.

The End! I was sad and lonely so I wrote this.

Orange Guitar

Many students in Midoriya’s class took an interest in music. Jiro knew how to play more than one instrument, not including her singing. Bakugo played the drums. Kaminari and Tokoyami played guitar. Momo was familiar with the keyboard. Midoriya found it awesome so many people had a little hobby on the side.

Midoriya had a point in his life where he had an endless list of hobbies. When he was at his lowest in middle school, he filled the void with countless activities. Midoriya did martial arts, wrote his own stories (mainly All Might fanfiction), hero analysis (quirk analysis), skateboarding, ice shaking, ran a hero blog, at-home yoga, and the list continued. Inko watched her son purse many different activities fondly, letting him figure out what he wanted to do with his life.

Even though Midoriya was seen as weak and pathetic, he was incredible at everything he did. Midoriya won ice skating competitions. Midoriya learned difficult skateboarding tricks. His hero blog blew up and was extremely popular. His hero analysis spanned over 13 books. Midoriya trained his body to handle more complex and taunting positions and poses in his yoga programs. Midoriya bumped up levels steadily in his martial art classes. Midoriya’s writing because popular as well, often being seen on accounts that recommended fan fiction.

Midoriya put one hundred and ten percent into everything he did. He wanted to prove to himself he wasn’t worthless. He wanted to prove that he was just as capable as anyone else to do any basic hobby. While being physical was always a good way for him to produce endorphins and boost his mood, Midoriya found one specific hobby capturing his attention the most.

Guitar.

There was something so exhilarating about it all. The freedom to play anything and everything. The sensation of memorizing which hand positions made which chords. The callous that grew on his fingers from constant playing. It was addictive. Midoriya would often head to a studio to mess around and get most of his practice in. Living in an apartment with thin walls meant playing instruments was forbidden.

Midoriya learned most things on his own and gained enough revenue from his competition winnings to buy his own guitar. It was a sexy instrument. As much as Midoriya hated to admit it, everything about the guitar reminded him of Bakugo. He remained in denial even as he paid for it in cash. Despite the sight of the guitar, Midoriya was in love with it for many other reasons.

Now with Midoriya being in U.A. and having all his time dedicated to hero work, he dropped almost all of his hobbies. He applied his ice skating training to his hero training, but didn’t skate and didn’t complete. Midoriya didn’t keep up with martial arts, focusing more on gymnastic-type moves in his fighting style. Midoriya stopped writing fan fiction, focusing mainly on his hero analysis. Midoriya stopped skateboarding, replacing that time with running and extra training.

Whenever class 1-A split up into the two groups for the school festival, Midoriya was dying to reveal he played guitar. Besides, he wasn’t coordinated when it came to dancing. It feel awkward to him unlike how he felt with executing fighting moves. Despite his desire to be a part of the band, he was thrown into the larger crowd of dancers. Thankfully, he was able to learn a dance routine very well because of his experience as an ice skater. It was still two completely different things, but using prior knowledge never failed to give him a push.

Time flew by and the war was over, the world was healing, and life somewhat went back to normal. Midoriya finally had the biggest weight fall off his shoulders and he could think about the little things again. They were in their second year with new dorm building and new room arrangements. It was no surprise Midoriya was on the same floor as Todoroki and Katsuki. He wasn’t complaining, he didn’t have to worry about Aoyama’s stalking or Mineta’s advances.

Midoriya also changed a lot because of the war. His room still had the big All Might poster from Sir Nighteye and couple figures, but almost everything else was packed away. He’d have a room dedicated to merchandise whenever he buys a house or rents and apartment, but keeping it in a safe place was the best for him.

One thing he did bring to the dorms from his room back at his mom’s apartment was his guitar. He did want to pick it back up. He had found himself longing for the callouses on his fingers to be caused by excessive guitar playing. The only awkward thing is he would probably disturb the people sleeping above him, below him, and beside him.

Midoriya looked at his guitar at a loss on how to play it in the dorm. He wasn’t about to rent out a studio so he could play it. Suddenly he realized he could just use headphones and felt like slapping himself in the face. Grabbing his amp and connecting it to his guitar, Midoriya then took his headphones and connected them to the amp. He could practice in peace.

As time passed, Midoriya found he finally felt more connected to his hobby. He purchased a customized Eraserhead guitar strap. Midoriya also had a Dynamite sticker, a Shoto sticker and an All Might sticker. Accessorizing is always fun. Finally the guitar was spunked-up a bit.

It was the weekend, more specifically the one day a week they got off at U.A. High. No one had any plans and it was supposed to be a relaxing day. Midoriya looked at his guitar and knew he was going to perfect the one cover he was working on. Midoriya moved out onto the small balcony they had with his guitar. The sun was warm and the breeze was chilling.

Midoriya had his amp on the lowest setting. Loud enough for him to hear, but still quiet enough to not disturb anyone. It was a different experience to not have his playing blast out his ear drums. Midoriya took a deep breath and started playing, enjoying himself.

The song she chose to play was fairly popular, but not in Japan. He heard the tune on social media. He followed a lot of heroes outside of Japan, since he was a fanboy. It was an edit of an American hero. The beautiful melody captured Midoriya’s attention. The song was Midoriya’s new obsession. It didn’t take long for him to master the song so he could play it without even looking at his finger placement.

Midoriya was able to play the bass part on his phone so he’d have the complete sound. He was no singer and he was far from good at English, but he could hum to his heart’s content. He swayed, letting the cords vibrate in his chest.

Todoroki and Bakugo were planning on doing some studying since exams were coming up. They decided inviting Midoriya would make sense as he was incredibly smart. They all had their own weak points and strong points. One persons strength could make up for the others weakness. They all equaled each other out.

They were used to walking right into his room unannounced so when Todoroki opened the door the two stilled at the sound of music. They made their way into the room and saw Midoriya out of his balcony with the guitar. He was humming, gently dancing to the music with closed eyes. He was clearly lost in the music, by the way he was acting.

Suddenly he stopped humming and started playing the best part of the song. His head bounced as he played, a joyful smile on his lips as he played. Midoriya mindlessly bounced to the beat with closed eyes. The sun glowed against his skin, mesmerizing, Bakugo and Todoroki.

The two had seen everything that Midoriya had gone through. Watching him dance and play the guitar with a real smile made their hearts pound in their chests.

Bakugo and Todoroki were knocked out of their daze with a shout. Midoriya had turned around and spotted the two, eyes wide. Initially his eyes had been filled with fear, but settled into relief. Danger sense hadn’t gone off so he didn’t expect anyone to magically be in the room.

“Kacchan. Shoto. Did I disturb you?” questioned Midoriya, worried he had been too loud.

Todoroki shook his head, still speechless. Bakugo was able to get over his shock and approached Midoriya. “Hell no. Where did you learn to play?”

Midoriya smiled, setting his guitar down and turning off the amp. “I mean I could play since I was in middle school, but I didn’t start playing seriously until lately.”

“Well you’re really good. You should’ve played for the school festival,” complimented Todoroki, sitting down on Midoriya’s bed.

Midoriya blushed, putting his equipment away. “Thank you. I’m still a bit rusty, but I hope to improve.”

Bakugo nodded, crossing his arms with an evil smirk. “Good, because I wanna see if you can keep up with my drumming.”

“Really!” gasped Midoriya, his jaw falling with excited eyes.

Todoroki stepped in before Bakugo barked out some nonsensical nonsense. “I’d like to listen to you play a lot more.”

Midoriya crashed onto the bed beside Todoroki, turning his head to his best friend. “Feel free to just come in and listen. I usually have my headphones on, but I can start playing out loud if you like it enough.”

Todoroki nodded, closing his eyes as he felt comfortable enough to nap. Midoriya smiled at the quiet confirmation and turned to Bakugo. “Kacchan, what did you need?”

“Studying,” stated Bakugo shortly, crushing Midoriya with his weight.

Midoriya sighed happily, snuggling into his side. “Okay. Exams are coming up pretty soon.”

The three all remained cuddled together, now enjoying the breeze coming in from Midoriya’s balcony. It was in moments like these that solidified the trio’s bond. They had already been inseparable, but in moments like these, nothing could break the unconditional love they had for one another.

Grief

Izuku Midoriya was familiar with grief. Throughout his life, his precious heart loved too much. So when tragedy struck, the pain oftentimes felt unbearable. His generosity was taken advantage of far too many times. His compassion was abused. He lost people faster than he gained. Izuku Midoriya was very familiar with grief.

His father disappeared for a job across the world. Hisashi was too busy to send a text. He was too busy to say happy birthday. He was never there. All he was, was an idea. Only the thought of him existed to Izuku. The grief he felt from losing someone he never knew hurt the worst.

The people Izuku considered friends left him at the drop of a hat. No one stuck around. No one defended him. They changed faster than Izuku could comprehend. One second they played in the sand and in the next they were throwing sand at him. They were no longer people Izuku knew.

Izuku lost the one person he desired the most. Katsuki Bakugo became a star. Something so far away he’d never dream of being able to touch. Katsuki glowed and shined brilliantly. He was perfect in Izuku’s eyes. Izuku would chase Katsuki, refusing to give up. While the new version of his friend wasn’t tasteful, Izuku still knew how amazing Katsuki was deep down.

As Izuku grew up so did his list of losses. Quirkless people that he would meet on social media died. Once he got into U.A. he gained a lot of friends and strong adult figures, but just like in the past, people still left. His teachers died, many heroes died, villains died, and innocent civilians died. Midoriya at one point ran away, having to lose everyone he cared about to keep them safe. He watched the world crumble around him. Some of the people he held closest almost became memories.

Through all of it, Izuku persevered. He dealt with grief in many different ways. His method always changed and alternated depending on what and how.

Izuku was now in the middle of his third year at U.A. and couldn’t have been happier. His friends were alive, his teachers were alive, and villains were at an all-time low since the rise of quirks decades ago. Heroes were still needed by all means, but the League of Villains no longer existed and no war was about to break out.

Izuku had time to visit Eri and Kota more often as his workload was not nearly as big as it was in his first year attending U.A. The kids grew so much within two years. One day Aizawa informed Izuku he would need a babysitter for Eri. Izuku dropped everything to do so. Izuku took her out to the school’s garden, finding it a beautiful day to go outside.

Katsuki and Shoto got asked by Hatsume to go get Izuku quickly. She needed his opinion on some gear she was making for a first-year. They wanted recommendations and Hatsume knew asking the quirk analyst would help shorten down her list of ideas. The duo tracked him down to the garden with Eri after asking around.

Eri was currently weaving some flowers together, mimicking Izuku’s instructions. Izuku had asked about Aizawa and how she enjoyed living with him. Eri was more than happy to talk about her father, but suddenly she went quiet.

“Eri-chan? Is something wrong?” asked Izuku, worried that the chattering girl suddenly went silent.

Eri seemed to be contemplating something before looking up at Izuku. “Mister Deku, I have a question.”

“Go ahead,” encouraged Izuku, knowing Eri would ask no matter what. She knew she could ask Izuku anything.

Eri sat down the half-weaved flowers on the ground and focused on Izuku. “What is your Dad like? I can’t remember you ever telling me about him.”

“Oh, that’s because I never met him Eri. He went away for work before I got a chance to remember him,” revealed Midoriya, speaking to her in a soft tone.

“Why was he away for work for so long?” questioned Eri, not understanding why Izuku’s dad just wouldn’t be around.

Izuku shrugged, weaving Eri’s flowers for her. “I don’t know. His work was too important I suppose.”

Eri frowned, sad Izuku’s dad wasn’t around. “What about others?”

“Others?” repeated Izuku back to Eri, confused about what she meant.

“Yeah. The grandpas and grandmas and stuff. All of those people!” revealed Eri, a chipper grin on her face.

“Well, when I was young… they seemed to leave,” chuckled Izuku, unable to bring himself to tell her why.

Eri’s eyes widened, shocked Izuku was a lot like her. “Why did they all leave?”

Katsuki and Shoto arrived at the garden, spotting the two. They approached and saw the two talking. The expressions on Eri and Izuku’s faces signaled they were having a serious conversation. Katsuki walked right over, shamelessly snooping. Shoto went right alongside Katsuki. He wanted to know what Izuku was talking about.

Izuku was quick to come up with something, anything to keep Eri from getting too upset. He raised his head to see the sky peek through the leaves of the tree they were under.

“Sometimes special people come into our lives, stay for a bit, and then they have to go.”

Eri frowned, scooting closer to Izuku. “But that’s sad.”

“It is,” agreed Izuku solemnly. Izuku returned his gaze to Eri, resting his hands on the cloth of his slacks, smoothing out the wrinkles. He remembers how it felt to lose Toshinori. The news that Toshinori wouldn’t be around for much longer struck him in the gut so hard he couldn’t move. He couldn’t lie and say that it wasn’t hard. He smiled softly at her, tilting his head to the side. “But the bit where they were here was happy wasn’t it? Like Lemillion. When he was around, those were happy times.”

Eri’s eyes lit up, seeing the point Izuku was making. She giggled, a bright smile appearing as she nodded. “Yes! I brought his quirk back!”

Izuku hummed, nodding his head in acknowledgment. He recalled how monumental of a moment that was for everyone. Still, the thought reminded him of the war where no one walked away a winner. He pushed those feelings down, finding unconditional love for the girl he saw as his little sister.

“Maybe that makes it all worth it,” chuckled Midoriya, looking down at the flowers before putting one in her hair.

Eri smiled, touching the flower happily. She could understand what Izuku was saying. She missed Mirio always being around, but the time when he was around was a happy time. It made the time he was away bearable.

Shoto stood there, gripping the fabric of his shirt. He could feel his heart pound beneath his knuckles. The expression on Izuku’s face gnawed at him. The way Izuku said everything so mindlessly made Shoto realize Izuku thought of loss, a lot. Shoto lost a lot in his life, yet he couldn’t begin to deal with the grief in healthy ways. It took outside help to get to the point he was currently at. Even with the help he got, he couldn’t say there was anything that made it worth it. Not losing Toya, Rei, and the list of others he lost.

Katsuki watched with a blank expression. No matter what Izuku did, he couldn’t hide anything from Katsuki. Katsuki could see the strain in that smile. He could see the exhaustion replace the hope that was once in Izuku’s eyes. It made his palms sweaty. The way he felt was similar to the way a person would get when they had an itch they couldn’t scratch.

Katsuki loved Izuku. Izuku was like a porcelain sculpture, handcrafted by the heavens. Izuku's heart was made out of gold and he had the strength that could rival Gods and Goddesses. Katsuki looked at Izuku and drowned in hills of green. Izuku was the human embodiment of green: symbolic of life. His eyes, his hair, his everything.

Katsuki fell hard and Izuku had no clue. He watched Izuku tend to Eri with the maternal instincts he knew mimicked Inko. He knew deep down what Izuku was thinking the whole time. He knew what Izuku went through and how he dealt with losing people. Katsuki knew he had scared Izuku on numerous occasions when it came to “going away”.

Katsuki was about to step up and ruin the special moment, but Eri stopped him in his tracks. “Mister Deku… I don’t want you to go. You’re special.”

Izuku looked at Eri and his eyes widened. “Eri, I’m not going anywhere.”

“But you’re going to be a hero next year.”

“I am, but that doesn’t mean I’m leaving you,” reassured Izuku, giving her an earnest smile.

“You’re not?” sniffled Eri.

Izuku scooped her into a gentle embrace. “Nope. Never ever.”

Eri cried into Izuku’s shoulder, hugging him tightly. Izuku rubbed circles on her back as tears made their way down his cheeks. His smile cracked as he listened to the relieved cries of Eri. Izuku pulled back and tucked her fly-away hair behind her ear before wiping away her tears. “You won’t be going anywhere either. You’re just as special.”

Eri smiled, patting Izuku’s tears as well. “Never! I’d never leave!”

Izuku laughed, rising to his feet and extending a hand out to her. “Good, because who else would I have tea parties with?”

“Yeah, and you can’t leave because no one else can make me candy apples,” threatened Eri adorably, taking Izuku’s hand and jumping up.

Izuku patted her head, smiling fondly. “Speaking of food, it’s about time we get you some lunch. What are you hungry for today?”

Katsuki revealed himself to Izuku and Eri. Todoroki magically appeared beside Katsuki and waved at the two. “Hi.”

Izuku’s face lit up. “Kacchan! Shoto!”

Katsuki crossed his arms. “Hatsume needs your help when you get the chance. Also, I’m making us lunch today. You’ll burn down the kitchen.”

“I’m completely capable of cooking Kacchan,” sassed Izuku, raising a brow. Izuku had cooked before Katsuki on numerous occasions.

Shoto lowered his head in shame. “I can’t cook.”

Eri smiled up at Shoto. “Me neither! We are the same!”

Shoto perked up, nodding at the small child. “We are.”

Izuku was distracted by the two’s little scene and smirked. “Well, neither of you has to worry about that. It seems that Kacchan has you covered since he won’t let me cook.”

“Ha! Don’t try and do that guilt-tripping bullshit Izuku,” roared Katsuki, all bark no bite.

Izuku smiled, shrugging his shoulders. “Just saying the truth Kacchan. Let’s go then, me and Eri are hungry.”

As the four made their way into the main building, Katsuki wrapped an arm around Izuku’s shoulder and bit his chubby cheek. Izuku, used to the violent forms loving Katsuki showed, lightly bonked his head against Katsuki’s.

“Nothing makes it worth it if I can’t have you by my side,” murmured Katsuki into Izuku’s ear.

Izuku’s heart melted at Katsuki’s voice and his words of affirmation. Izuku leaned his head on Katsuki’s shoulder, using his free hand to wrap around his bicep. “You know I can’t live without you either,” whispered Izuku.

Izuku may be used to grief… but he will never be prepared when the time comes he loses the ones he holds the closest for good. But for now, Izuku has everything he could ever want. Eri, Shoto, and Katsuki had everything they could ever want. As cheesy as it sounded, it was because they had each other. They had love to keep the grief at bay or they made themselves believe so.

The End!

(also ignore the fact I referenced a scene from the kid's show Bluey in the episode “Camping” 😭 and ignore the fact that I thought about making a fan fiction because of it 💔 it was emotional okay?)

You’re Not That Special

Bakugo and his two lackeys, Yukimura and Sada, decided it would be a great idea to use Midoriya’s kindness against him. One day, Bakugo slipped a note into Midoriya’s locker asking for him to meet someone behind the school. Even if Midoriya knew it was a trap, he didn’t want to be rude in case it wasn’t.

Bakugo was waiting for him while Yukimura and Sada were hiding around the corner. Midoriya turned the corner, holding the note with a blank expression. He wasn’t nervous and he seemed far from interested that someone wanted to see him. The moment Midoriya spotted Bakugo, he apprehensively continued walking over.

Midoriya was interested, considering it appeared that Bakugo was alone. Bakugo apologized to Midoriya for everything, bowing to further convince Midoriya. Midoriya stared at him in shock, pleasantly surprised Bakugo was apologizing.

Midoriya wiped his tears. “I accept your apology, but it’ll take a while for me to forgive you. You have no idea how much this means to me.”

Bakugo was genuinely baffled to hear Midoriya didn’t forgive him. Something about that drove his hunger. He wanted to play Midoriya until Midoriya said he forgave him. When Bakugo parted ways with Midoriya, he gathered with the other two and laughed. They got Midoriya good.

Time passed and Midoriya was like putty in Bakugo’s hand. Midoriya was easy to mold and manipulate. Midoriya genuinely gave Bakugo the benefit of the doubt once Yukimura and Sada backed off. Midoriya still wasn’t convinced, but he wanted to believe Bakugo was being sincere. Midoriya didn’t want to think Bakugo could stoop that low.

Midoriya was proven right. That in the pit of his stomach, something was wrong. It was a Thursday afternoon. Bakugo invited Midoriya to the back of the school again. Midoriya naturally agreed, seeing nothing strange about it considering Bakugo had been nice. Bakugo confessed to Midoriya, taking his small hands in his bigger ones.

Midoriya’s eyes went wide in bewilderment. His cheeks burned under the hot gaze of his childhood friend. Midoriya never really felt romantic attraction to Bakugo, Bakugo was a bully after all. Midoriya did admire him though, finding him to be a true symbol of victory. His determination and stubbornness never wavered in the face of an obstacle. If he wanted something, he’d get it by any means necessary.

Midoriya still couldn’t help but feel his heart beat pick up, the rapid thumping loud in his ears. It felt like a dream. Maybe he really could fall in love with Bakugo. The blonde did have a charm. Before he could do anything else, Bakugo tugged him in for a kiss. Midoriya squeaked, not appreciating being forced into a kiss he wasn’t prepared for. He didn’t even want to have his first kiss so early on in his life.

Before Midoriya could push him off himself, Katsuki threw him back. Midoriya was having whiplash from all the tugging and pushing, not surprised Bakugo was a bad kisser. When Midoriya’s dizziness subsided and he looked up to Bakugo’s face, the sincerity was gone. The soft expression as he confessed his love was gone. The haunting smile he wore a mere month ago was back.

“Wow Deku. You really thought I actually liked you? Pathetic!”

Yukimura and Sada came out from hiding, cackling like Midoriya’s humiliation was the funniest thing on the planet. Midoriya left dread hit him like a truck. The world stopped. His heart shattered as the last speck of respect he had for Bakugo disappeared.

Midoriya refused to cry, sucking back in his tears. He looked at Bakugo with pure, venomous hatred. “How dare you.”

“Huh? Can’t hear you if you keep mumbling fucking loser,” sneered Bakugo, leaning close condescendingly.

Midoriya hissed at Bakugo, enraged. “How. Dare. You. I knew you’d use whatever you could against me… but my own unpreparedness? I haven’t even forgiven you… and you thought springing that on me was funny?”

Bakugo swallowed hard. He had never heard Midoriya use that tone before. Midoriya’s face had never shown that much disgust before. Midoriya’s eyes never revealed that much rage before. Yukimura and Sada looked just as stunned, not expecting their “prank” to get that reaction. They expected him to cry like a baby and then run away like a heartbroken school girl.

Midoriya couldn’t hold back the tears as the betrayal chewed up his heart. “You stole my first kiss from me without permission—without any indication I reciprocated your feelings. Whether or not the feeling you showed were fake. I wanted to believe there was still some good in you… but Katsuki, you’re a horrible person.”

Midoriya left, holding his head high despite his shaking hands. His knuckles were white from how hard he tightened his hands. Midoriya’s jaw was clenched painfully hard, to the point it made his teeth ache. He was feeling too many negative feelings all at once. He left the campus of hell knowing he would erase his bullies’ existence from his memories.

The next day turned up and Bakugo, Yukimura, and Sada were pulling their usual douchebag stunts like they had before. Midoriya ignored them completely, controlling his overwhelming emotions. It wasn’t until they were dismissed for lunch that the inevitable confrontation occurred.

Midoriya rose from his seat, going to grab his bento when three very familiar chuckles met his ears.

“Deku.”

“Quite rude to ignore people talking to you.”

Midoriya looked up to meet the three with a scowl. He had no time to encourage their fragile masculinity and oppressive mindsets.

“Wow, that’s rich coming from you,” mocked Midoriya, his tone sarcastic.

“Woah. Seems like someone is actually upset,” teased Sada, pushing out his bottom lip to pout.

Midoriya tilted his head to the side and flashed a pissed smile. “Hardly. I’m more impressed you guys have reached a new level of ignorance.”

Bakugo stepped closer, a smug smirk on a his face. “Oo, you really got us with that one Deku.”

Midoriya’s eyes narrowed, his smile dropping in a deep frown. “It’s just an astute observation. Your response is irrelevant.”

“Someone sounds butthurt,” laughed Yukimura, crossing his arms. He was painfully proud of what he had just said.

Bakugo glanced at Yukimura, having a thought triggered by his comment. Smiling, Bakugo towered over Midoriya, failing at intimidating the somewhat shorter male.

“Oh, is this sudden attitude all because I stole your first kiss? Really, you’re throwing a tantrum because I kissed you?”

Midoriya saw red. What Bakugo had done was a form of sexual assault. Midoriya was rightfully pissed about being violated. Throwing a tantrum was the furthest thing from what he was doing. Midoriya drew a fist back and swung.

Bakugo flew back from the insanely strong punch to the nose. He could deep blood drip down, the throbbing overcoming the waves of pain from the punch. Midoriya stood over him, his stare unforgiving.

“Do not act like what you did to me was a childish prank. You live in this make-believe world that I’m obsessed with you. If you opened your eyes, you’d see I stopped looking up to you the moment you put down others to raise yourself on this stupid pedestal of “I was born with the most privilege”. Grow up. You’re not that special,” seethed Midoriya, rubbing his knuckles as he spoke.

Grabbing his lunch, Midoriya snapped his gaze to Sada and Yukimura. “If you ugly, pathetic, weak-quirk losers even try and mess with me after encouraging Katsuki to do what he did… I’ll castrate you.”

The two urgently backed away, covering their small manhoods in fear. Midoriya looked down at Bakugo to see his expression. All Midoriya could do was smile, relishing the sight of a mortified Bakugo. Midoriya stepped over him and walked out the classroom with a pep in his step.

When the two made it into U.A. Bakugo made sure to stay in his place when it came to Midoriya. While he still was aggressive and arrogant to some degree, he significantly toned it down. After all, Midoriya had cracked his high ego and defeated him solely with his tongue. Behind that happy-go-lucky persona, Midoriya was a grudge-holding menace.

It’s Really Not The Same As It Was

CW! abortion, abuse, slight smut at the end

Izuku was bullied ever since he was a child. He never understood why he was picked out of everyone. Katsuki, Izuku's supposed best friend, turned his back on him. Katsuki became Izuku’s main bully. It soon was clear why he was thrown in the trash considering Bakugo started saying it to his face a dozen times a day. Izuku was quirkless.

From elementary school all the way to their final year in junior high, Katsuki bullied Izuku. Katsuki got everyone to hate Izuku. Izuku was isolated and never given a chance to have a friend or social life. He didn’t mind it. He’d rather be alone. No one caught his attention. Everyone was boring, following the rest of the herd mindlessly.

When Izuku was in his third year of junior high, one fateful day broke him. Izuku was physically attacked, humiliated, and then suicide bated. Izuku fell into a severe depressive episode that lasted months. Izuku never really recovered from it. Inko unenrolled Izuku from Aldera Junior High, sued the school, and cut all connections with the Bakugo’s.

Izuku fell behind in his studies, causing him to fall short of the requirements to attend UA’s entry exam. Izuku was devastated and fell into an even worse mental state. Inko didn't know what to do and had Izuku get hospitalized for his own safety. Unfortunately, she made the wrong decision and he only got worse.

Izuku felt like no one wanted him around, that he was a bother. Izuku couldn't find one thing to live for other than his mother. If his mother sent him away because he was crazy, he no longer had anything to keep him alive. While he was unresponsive for a bit at the hospital, he realized he needed to fake being happy to get out. Izuku got out in no time. The doctors hated wasting resources on a quirkless person.

Izuku started up his life at a regular high school, nothing elite like the prestigious hero school U.A. High. Izuku didn’t know anyone so it was easy to live a comfortable life. He wasn’t bullied, he didn’t draw attention to himself, and had a couple of "friends". Izuku often studies with them, but their relationship was strictly only friends. It wasn’t until their school festival that Izuku met his demise.

The monster in disguise was a handsome boy. His name was Sugiyama Tomo. He was first person to ever flirt or hit on Izuku. Izuku, not knowing the first thing about relationships, fell into the trap. Izuku had no siblings to confide in. Izuku’s father died when he was a child so he had nothing to use as an example. Izuku never had a boyfriend before, let alone friends. It was easy for him to fall in love with the first person who showed interest in him.

Izuku and Tomo had a very one-sided relationship. Izuku never noticed because how was he supposed to know. Izuku was used to being yelled at and hit. It never really raised red flags for him. Izuku happily let Tomo do whatever he pleased. It didn't take long for Tomo to make sexual advances. Izuku never knew much about sex considering Inko never gave him the talk, so he allowed it to happen.

When Izuku began to have sex, Tomo had a field day when he saw Izuku was intersex. Tomo heard a myth that intersex people were infertile and never once brought up using protection. There were no contraceptives being used as they were sexually active every day. It was only a matter of time before Izuku was pregnant.

It happened so fast. Izuku didn’t know exactly when an egg was fertilized, but he soon started noticing strange occurrences. Izuku’s flat chest grew sore and tender. His nipples darkened to a brown shade, unlike the usual dark pink. Izuku mentioned it to his mother, worried something was going in with his breasts. Inko took him to the hospital, scared about what could be happening.

When Izuku was taken into the office, he explained what he had noticed. It seemed the doctor instantly noticed the symptoms and began asking somewhat specific questions. After questioning, Izuku was led to a bathroom for a urine sample. Inko and Izuku thought nothing of it. Urine samples were very common. When the doctor came back after fifteen minutes, he had news.

“I know what’s the cause of these sudden bodily changes,” revealed the adult, seeming a lot more relaxed after figuring out what was going on.

Inko and Izuku were tightly holding onto one another, preparing for the worst. “What’s going on with my child?”

“Well, according to the urine sample, Izuku here appears to be pregnant.”

Inko’s eyes widened in mortification. Izuku passed out. As much as Inko was horrified that Izuku was sexually active, she had to swallow down the invasive questions and anger. Inko couldn’t blame Izuku, she knew he had been in a bad spot and really loved the guy he was with. It was clear Izuku was maturing and would be getting sexual. Part of her role as a parent was to be a guide and an influence. She had done nothing to prepare Izuku for the risks of having sex.

That night when Izuku visited Tomo at their usual time, Izuku ended up breaking the news to Tomo. While Izuku found excitement in being pregnant, Tomo saw the end of the world. Izuku had something to live for and Tomo saw it as the end of his freedom. It didn’t take much for Tomo to manipulate and convince Izuku to abort the baby. Tomo told Izuku that they had all the time in the world and didn’t need to rush anything. They were still young and shouldn’t be held down by a baby. He didn't even try to sound understanding or sympathetic.

While Tomo said it just to avoid responsibility, Izuku was deeply wounded by those words. Izuku felt invalidated and begun crying. Izuku was worried Tomo didn’t love him enough to want to have a baby. The sad thing was Tomo saw Izuku as nothing more than a sex toy. That night, Tomo's sex toy left early sobbing. Tomo screamed at him for leaving early and being overdramatic. Izuku blocked it out, too overwhelmed by despair.

Inko was shocked Izuku wanted an abortion but decided if Izuku said he wanted an abortion, he could get an abortion. Izuku was young and the baby would be at risk due to his age. Izuku’s body would never be the same. Neither of them was financially stable to take care of a baby. Izuku still had high school to attend and he’d have to drop out to take care of the kid since Inko couldn’t afford daycare and they had no family. Izuku's entire life would be on hold if he chose to have the baby.

Izuku arrived at the hospital and sat down in the waiting area. Izuku was trembling, picking at his cuticles as his anxiety spiked. While Izuku and Inko were waiting for "Izuku" to be called out, a small group entered the hospital. The small group consisted of Katsuki, Eijiro, Ochako, and Aizawa. They had just wrapped up a villain attack and heading to the hospital was a shorter trip than going back to U.A. for healing. The four also had civilians they also wanted to check on.

Katsuki noticed Izuku and Inko and his body froze against his will. The three with him noticed his strange pause and looked at where he was looking. Ochako and Eijiro teased Katsuki, thinking he was in love. Aizawa, on the other hand, saw the panicked look on Katsuki’s face and knew it was something else entirely.

Inko was looking at Izuku with a worried expression, concerned about what was going through her precious child’s head. Izuku never once looked at her, staring straight ahead with a blank expression. Katsuki watched, wondering what was going on.

“Midoriya Izuku?”

Izuku got up and Inko watched him leave. Izuku walked straight toward the doctor at the door and Inko watched him disappear. She’d be called back once the operation was finished. All she could do was hang her head in her own shame.

Katsuki and Aizawa had no injuries so neither had to go back. The estimated wait was fifteen minutes for Ochako and Eijiro to get taken back. Ochako took thirty minutes and Eijiro also took thirty minutes, they were taken back separately so in total Aizawa and Katsuki were sitting there for an hour and a half. Inko was called back at the thirty-minute mark.

Eijiro was still gone by the time Izuku returned with Inko. Izuku’s face was a wet mess. His eyes were puffy from crying. His nose was red from repeatedly wiping his runny nose. Inko squeezed Izuku’s hand and whispered to him.

“How do you feel?”

Midoriya couldn’t hold back the silent tears as he quickly glanced at his mother before looking away again. “Better.”

Katsuki couldn’t do it anymore, he rose to his feet and made his way over.

“Aunty. Izuku,” called out Katsuki.

The two snapped their heads over, not noticing the voice at first. Izuku looked over and was met with a worried Katsuki.

“Kacchan?”

Inko scowled, still hostile when it came to the boy who tormented her son.

“Are you okay? What are you doing here?” questioned Katsuki, clearly distressed for Izuku’s wellbeing.

Izuku looked at his feet, unable to face Katsuki. “That’s… private.”

Katsuki nodded, backing off. “Alright… uh—shit. You’re okay though right? You’re not dying are you?”

Izuku shook his head, finally finding some confidence to look Katsuki in the eyes. “Of course I’m okay. Since when have you cared if I’m okay or not?”

Katsuki’s cheeks heated up at the direct reference to his bullying. Pushing past the guilt that hit him, he had a more important goal to achieve. “Fuck, Izuku. I know you don’t want to hear it, but you deserve to have it said to you.”

Katsuki dropped to his knees and bowed at Izuku’s feet. “I’m so sorry Izuku. I am sorry for everything I’ve done to you. I was a horrible person and I treated you horribly. I don’t deserve to be a hero, but every single day you are the reason why I try to be better. I want to be a hero worthy of your forgiveness.”

Izuku felt his eyes widen. His cheeks heated up at the dramatic apology in the middle of a hospital waiting room. “Kacchan.”

Katsuki looked up and took Izuku’s hand. “You don’t have to say anything. Don’t feel obligated to just because we have a crowd. The world deserves to know what kind of person I had been. I have to work to earn your trust and kindness again. And if you never want to see again, that’s perfectly fine and I’ll get out of your sight.”

“You idiot,” cried Izuku, too much happening all at once.

Katsuki ended up having to help escort Izuku home after making him faint. Inko softened up, seeing the sincerity in Katsuki’s words. She’d tolerate Katsuki until Izuku gave her a sign if he wanted Katsuki around or not.

Izuku unblocked Katsuki and promised to catch up with him soon. Katsuki and Izuku often hung out, feeling their natural bond come back together. Katsuki even managed to get Nezu interested in Izuku by accident. Nezu was one to snoop and caught Katsuki on the phone with someone dishing out incredible hero analysis.

Nezu brought Katsuki into his office and obtained the information of Izuku Midoriya. Two weeks later Izuku transferred to U.A. as Nezu’s personal student. Izuku was moved into Heights Alliance shortly after considering U.A. was a boarding school after an incident during Katsuki’s first year.

Izuku was allowed to pick which building he wanted to stay in and chose 2-A, the building Katsuki was staying in. Katsuki was ecstatic the moment he saw Izuku walk in his bags. Izuku was soon adopted into the class 2-A family. Izuku took a liking Uraraka, Tsuyu, Iida, Todoroki, Momo, and Tokoyami. Of course, Izuku got along well with Katsuki’s friends but he had a group of his own.

Since moving into the dorms, it didn’t take long for people to find out about Izuku's abusive relationship. Izuku would leave at least four times a week and be gone for hours. He had permission from Nezu to leave so no one questioned it for the most part. The thing that did catch their attention was that Izuku always came back a wreck and seemed beyond lifeless. Sometimes at night Izuku’s neighbors, Aoyama and Mineta, along with the person above him, Kaminari, could hear screaming over the phone in his room.

Katsuki, Mina, Sero, Kirishima, Jiro, and Momo overheard Kaminari talking to Izuku. They had been in the middle of a gaming competition. Izuku came down to grab some water when Kaminari suddenly got up to talk to him in the kitchen. While the game was on pause, they could hear the two from where they were sitting.

Kaminari addressed what he had been hearing and how he was worried. Izuku laughed it off saying his boyfriend was upset Izuku couldn’t make it the night before. Kaminari mentioned how he’s heard it multiple times and Izuku admitted it was an often occurrence. Kaminari was growing increasingly worried, confused about why Midoriya wouldn’t stand up for himself. Staying in U.A. dorms was for his safety and his boyfriend should respect that. Izuku could only respond and say how they used to spend almost all day, every day together so he wasn’t handling it well.

The group never asked about it, knowing it wasn’t their business. It was about two weeks later, Kaminari was hosting a mini party in his room. Katsuki, Mina, Kirishima, and Sero were all sitting around and talking about how they just found out Aizawa and Hizashi were married. Their light conversation was interrupted by muffled yelling. It was clear it was coming from Izuku’s room.

They couldn’t make out everything, but they heard enough to know Izuku’s boyfriend was, at the least, verbally abusive. It didn’t take a smart person to figure that out. Katsuki knew he had a big enough influence on Izuku that he’d be able to get through to him.

When Katsuki walked into Izuku’s room five minutes into listening to the Tomo screaming, he took the phone from Izuku’s hand. “Hey! Go bitch to some other fucking extra!”

Izuku looked mortified that Katsuki had not only entered his room unannounced, but he had heard everything. Not only did Katsuki hear everything, but he just yelled at Tomo. Katsuki then did something even worse and hung up on Tomo. To Izuku, it was a blessing in disguise. Katsuki sat the phone down and glared at Izuku.

“Dump that asshole. He clearly doesn’t love you. No one should ever fucking talk to you like that,” hissed Katsuki, his piercing gaze burning Izuku.

What Katsuki didn’t expect was for Izuku to explain everything. The day Katsuki reunited with Izuku was the most painful day of his life.

“Wait… you were what? Pregnant? How the hell?”

“I’m intersex. I have female and male reproductive genitalia. I identify as male and prefer if people only ever knew me as biological male,” explained Izuku, shooting Katsuki a scary look to show he was serious.

Katsuki raised his hands in defense. “Chill out nerd. It’s not my place to say anything anyways. Well, that explains the pregnant part. Now… what you’re telling me is he pressured you into an abortion?”

Izuku nodded, feeling idiotic now that it was being said out loud by Katsuki. Even if he was pressured into it, getting the abortion was for the best. Izuku was so miserable that he couldn’t see how badly it would’ve been if he kept the child. The main reason being his mental state. Izuku was no where near stable enough to care for a child.

“Yes. He did. But I wouldn’t be where I was if I kept the child. I would be miserable right now. I would have believed I made the right choice, but I wouldn’t be happy. Besides... Tomo would’ve left me,” admitted Izuku, meeting Katsuki’s gaze.

“Well fuck that guy anyways. You don’t need trash like him. You have family now and people who actually care about your thoughts and feelings,” remarked Katsuki, leaning back in Izuku’s chair.

Izuku's expression fell into something of a weak and discouraged frown. “I’ll leave him. I’m tired of the yelling.”

Katsuki nodded, getting off the chair to jump onto Izuku. Izuku screeched as Katsuki's body slammed him into the bed. Izuku fell into a fit of laughter because of the gremlin glint in Katsuki’s eyes as he jumped. Katsuki laid on top of Izuku, crushing him. Izuku didn’t mind it, finding the weight comforting.

“Can you stay the night? I don’t want to be alone,” asked Izuku, despite expecting rejection.

“I was going to do that anyways. It’s my bedtime,” grunted Katsuki, tugging the sheets over them.

Izuku and Katsuki’s phones lay on the floor as their sleepy cuddle pile took up all the space on the bed. Izuku melted like butter with Katsuki’s natural body heat. Katsuki subconsciously intertwined their limbs, hugging Izuku close. Katsuki never felt more comfortable in his life. The sweet, earthy scent of Izuku’s hair and the softness of his skin.

The following day, Izuku announced to the class he was going to be back soon and that he was dumping his boyfriend. Izuku came back disheveled and bloody knuckles. Everyone scrambled over to make sure he was okay. All Izuku could do was raise his fists with a smile.

“He tried to kiss me so I broke his teeth.”

No one had any complaints with that. Momo created some items to treat Izuku’s wounds. Everyone huddled around, beyond proud of his improved confidence. It took a lot of strength to break things off with the person who’s been psychologically and physically abusing you for the past year and a half. Izuku knew he needed to defend himself and that was exactly what he did.

Izuku obtained his hero license the following year with the rest of the third years. While he was the same kind of hero as Nezu, Izuku was invited by Katsuki to make an agency with him. Two more years passed and Katsuki asked out Izuku. By then, Izuku was flourishing and living his best life. For the decade of pain, the infinite future of good to come made it very much worth it.

Izuku went from no friends to a handful of amazing friends. He let his abusive boyfriend go with a strong punch to the face to gain a perfect boyfriend who treated him like a prince. He went from a nobody in the middle of nowhere to a popular hero.

Izuku entered his home, pulling off his shoes at the door. The smell of strong spices filled the house. Katsuki came over, wiping off his hands with a towel.

“You’re late.”

Izuku’s lip wobbled at the sight of Katsuki. Tears pooled up in his eyes and spilled out, onto his cheeks. Katsuki knew in a second that Izuku had a rough day. Katsuki pulled Izuku into his arms without hesitation. Izuku cried, soaking up the comfort of his boyfriend.

“Is it the mission you’ve been working on?” softly asked Katsuki.

Izuku nodded, hiding his face in the crook of Katsuki’s neck. “Mhmm.”

“Common. I’ve finished dinner,” huffed Katsuki, gently sliding his hand down Izuku’s palm to intertwine their fingers.

They ate in comfortable silence. Izuku never let go of Katsuki’s hand, using his left hand to eat instead. Katsuki never complained, letting Izuku hold his hand as much as he wanted.

When they wrapped up eating, they cleaned up together. There weren’t any words that needed to be said. Katsuki guided Izuku to the bathroom and started a warm bath. Katsuki massaged shampoo into Izuku’s hair and rubbed out the ache in Izuku’s upper and lower back.

Izuku needed more of Katsuki, making a move to begin kissing him. Katsuki reciprocated the kiss, feeling himself recharge as well. They spent a passionate night together. Relishing in the feeling of being connected, making love with all the passion their bodies possessed. Izuku never took his eyes off of Katsuki. Katsuki never took his eyes off of Izuku.

Katsuki laid on Izuku, pressing him into the bed with his heavy body. Izuku loved the feeling, kissing Katsuki’s jaw.

“I’m so grateful for you, Izuku.”

“Me too. I’m really happy you found me.”

“God I love you. So beautiful. So perfect. So sexy. So powerful.”

Izuku fell into a fit of laughter, drowned in kisses. “Kacchan! I love you too! Haha—stop! Kacchan!”

Izuku never felt more loved in his life, his heart full of the love Katsuki showered him in. Izuku woke up the next morning, caressing the sun-kissed skin of Katsuki. Izuku brushed a thumb over Katsuki’s eyelashes and the scars that decorated his skin.

You’re the last person I thought I would end up with, but I wouldn’t trade you for anything. You’re the only one who sees me.

I’m Good At Being Fake

Midoriya was given an undercover mission. Midoriya disappeared one week in, somewhere in the mess. Todoroki and Bakugo were sent in to try and find Midoriya. While it was clear sending them in was a bad idea, the hero commission pushed it anyways.

Bakugo didn’t want to go simply because it was Midoriya’s mission and if he was undercover of course he’d cut contact. Todoroki on the other hand didn’t want to go in case this messed up the mission on Midoriya’s side. If they made one wrong move, it could be the death of Midoriya.

It’s takes them a week to find Midoriya. It was exceptionally hard because of his disguise as a white-haired woman in her late twenties. Midoriya had a quirk physically change his body composition as well. His scars, freckles, and other notable feature’s were changed. The most important part was Midoriya was given a female reproductive system, breasts and all. While the goal was to slim down the body to hide muscle, Midoriya retained all the strength he currently possessed. Midoriya was a walking grim reaper in disguise.

They managed to infiltrate the building they tracked Midoriya down to. Their goal was to locate him and report his progress back to the hero commission. When they got into the security systems, they spotted Midoriya on the screen.

Midoriya sat stone-faced in his desk chair, no ounce of kindness present in his features. Todoroki and Bakugo shivered at the sight. Sitting in a chair before the desk was an attractive man around Midoriya’s scripted age. The man was a stepping stone for Midoriya, a gateway to the main target.

It seemed as if they missed a chunk of the conversation, but they managed to come in at a good time.

“How about you just tell me what you want?” grunted the man, leaning back in his seat.

Midoriya’s posture remained steady. His legs crossed and his hands were clasped, resting on his knee. His expression did not falter as he said what he wanted. “Fifty-fifty.”

Bakugo and Todoroki were momentarily taken aback by the clear change in voice. It was oddly fitting. Not to high, not too low. It was strong, but the tone of his voice was bored.

The man chuckled, rubbing his eyes. Midoriya didn’t like that reaction, his eyes darkening as he glared at the man. “As I am assuming you’re buying the shitty stuff… with your typical drug dealer markup. The margin of your profits should be about five times as much as I make drugging people under the pretense I’m a slutty prostitute.”

Todoroki paused, his gaze snapping to Bakugo’s. Neither were filled in on what Midoriya’s backstory was to his fake persona. They did not know Midoriya was a “prostitute” and “drugging people” to make money. In a way, neither could believe Midoriya was capable of playing such a difficult role. Midoriya never once seemed like the type of person to take up a gig such as the one he was currently participating in.

“If it’s not… something’s wrong. I’d be more than happy to offer my services to fix it,” offered Midoriya. His tone was strict and demanding. His gaze was sharp and piercing and he knew how to use his tongue to his advantage.

The man smirked slightly, staring at Midoriya. Todoroki and Bakugo weren’t blind, they could see the fool undressing Midoriya with his eyes. Midoriya didn’t flash an eye, not giving any attention to the mans advances. Midoriya had a goal and no drug-lord was getting into his pants.

“You know… Ruma. You look good behind that desk,” complimented the man, revealing Midoriya’s fake name.

Midoriya gaze remained the same, not feeding into his fantasies by showing interest. “Thank you.”

Giving Midoriya a look up and down, the man smirked slightly as he spoke. “Damn… you’d look so much better on top of it.”

Bakugo and Todoroki’s breaths hitched. This fucker was horny and wanted to fuck Midoriya on that desk at that very moment. There was no denying he had intentions of screwing around with Midoriya. In a way, Todoroki and Bakugo couldn’t blame him. They’d never pass up a chance to fuck their crush.

Midoriya’s eyes were like a predator’s, remaining focused on it’s prey. “We have a deal?”

The man bit his lip slowly as he looked at Midoriya and then back to the top of the desk. He subtly nodded, seeming too eager to get laid.

“Yeah. Yeah. We are good… precious,” flirted the man, his voice deep and husky.

As much as Midoriya wanted to ignore it, the seduction was working a bit. There was something so arousing about knowing someone wanted to wreck him like a beast. Despite the urge to gain friction between his legs, Midoriya knew he needed to continue playing hard to get. If he gave himself up to this man, the chase would be over and Midoriya would find himself in cold water.

Midoriya’s poker face worked like a charm. The man looked increasingly more aroused with every time his advances got rejected. Getting up from the seat, Midoriya smiled softly.

“Pleasure doing business with you,” finalized Midoriya, ending the conversation swiftly. Midoriya fixed the skirt of his dress before readjusting his hold on his purse.

Todoroki’s eyes slowly opened and closed, staring at Midoriya with an expressionless face. Bakugo’s eyes widened, giving Midoriya a double take. His hand reached up to cover his mouth as he continued to look Midoriya up and down.

Midoriya was in a skin-tight black dress. It was a square-neck with spaghetti-straps. The side of the dress had a slit going all the up to Midoriya’s hip. Once Midoriya stepped towards the door, his bright red stilettos were as clear as day.

Todoroki and Bakugo didn’t have much to report back to the hero commission after they stealthily escaped. All they could say was that Midoriya was alive and nailing his undercover roll. Midoriya even got them feeling intimidated and excited simultaneously. Midoriya would be back in no time.

They Did What?

Shinsou and Midoriya had noticeably gotten closer. No one knew what happened to get Shinsou to suddenly open up to Midoriya and accept his kindness. All they knew was something happened between the two and it triggered them to become friends.

Midoriya and Shinsou would occasionally disappear during lunch. That drew some attention and even stirred up some rumors about their relationship. Some believed they simply wandered off to eat lunch together or to spend time alone to talk. Other people believed they were dating and wanted to keep it a secret so they’d sneak off to be lovey-dovey.

Uraraka couldn’t lie, she got a little nervous at the thought of Midoriya being in a relationship. If he was, she'd accept it. It would take her a while to move on but she’d never risk losing Midoriya because of jealousy. Iida didn’t care at all, as long as it didn’t interfere with Midoriya's learning and training, then there was nothing wrong. Tsuyu was, of course, rooting Midoriya on. She was one of the people who believed Midoriya and Shinsou were dating or moving towards that. Todoroki was confused, he didn’t understand his jealousy and he didn’t know what to do with it. He planned on talking to Midoriya about it, he would be the most understanding out of the group about this. Besides, Midoriya helped him before, he could help Todoroki again.

Shinsou and Midoriya were the talk of the hero department and the general department. The General Department knew better than to stick their noses into Shinsou’s affairs. Class 1-A was another story, they had no boundaries and were ignorant when it came to knowing when to keep out of other people's business. Hence, why Midoriya considered himself the number one secret keeper in the class.

Midoriya managed to keep his relationship with All Might secret and the secret of his quirk even though it was so obvious. Like, it was kinda embarrassing. Although, passing down quirks was unheard of, and they don’t even really know about the depth of All for One and One for All. Either way, they didn’t even really care to understand Midoriya’s quirk, and they didn’t even flash an eye at the fact he shattered his bones every time he used it. No one knew anything about his past, such as the bullying. No one knew that Bakugo, the rising star of U.A., had bullied him. No one knew about the fact he never met his father and has no relationship with him. No one knows what All Might had said to him. No one knows he fought the sludge villain to save his back-stabbing childhood friend. No one knew anything. All they knew were the basics and Midoriya’s mannerisms. Yet, secrets only stay secret for so long when you tell someone them.

Todoroki finished up his soba quickly, quicker than usual. He stood up and turned to the others, “I’ll be taking my leave. I’m going to go look for Midoriya.”

Uraraka looked up at the dual-colored boy and immediately agreed to join him, “I’ll come too! I’ve been wondering where Midoriya disappears off to.”

Tsuyu grinned, shooting back her chair, turning her attention to Iida, “Let’s go Iida! I’ve been dying to know if the rumors are true! Besides, Midoriya deserves a relationship, and Shinsou is definitely worthy in my opinion.”

Iida shot up out of his seat after finishing up what was left on the tray, “Let’s go. I would like to congratulate Midoriya on his relationship status with Shinsou!”

Their lunch shift was 50 minutes and they had around 20 minutes remaining. It offered them a nice chunk of time to look for Midoriya. They stopped and checked 1-A, and then 1-C only to find they weren’t there. They then checked the rooftop where Midoriya often was found thinking or studying. He wasn’t there oddly enough. The only spot they could think of where food was allowed was the library. Making their way into the library there were a couple of students there, all studying or just relaxing. As soon as they were about to give up they heard speaking. Peeping through the openings between books, they spotted them.

Midoriya was aggressively flipping through pages frustrated. Shinsou was scanning through books and sitting them on a pile for them to list.

“Why are they covering this up? Everything from All for One to discrimination on the quirkless is being covered up! It doesn’t make sense!” ranted Midoriya, growing frustrated.

Shinsou stood up, staring at Midoriya with a soft stare. “Well, when we become heroes, we could use our platform to finally spread information.”

Midoriya bit his lip, closing the book. “See, uhm. We may not have enough time for that. All for One can literally attack at any given moment, and the public needs to be aware of him! He’s the mastermind behind all villains and there will be a panic. It just doesn’t make sense on why they-.”

Shinsou waved his hand in front of Midoriya’s face. “Hello? You good?”

Midoriya slapped the book closed, rubbing his face. “I’m an idiot. I just realized why they are covering up that he’s still alive, but what I don’t get is why they refuse to tell the story of how he rose to power.”

Shinsou paused, thinking to himself before an idea struck him. “His power was associated with the sudden appearances of quirks, right? So since there is the discrimination of the quirkless currently they try to not talk about him since he was the one stealing people’s quirks from them?”

Midoriya nodded, picking out a book. “Yes. All Might had told me when quirk started to appear some people couldn’t handle it, and it resulted in people shutting down and becoming zombies.”

Shinsou raised a brow, asking a question softly. “Why are you and All Might so close? Like— no offense but why would he sit down and tell you about hidden information?”

“Well, as you know I was a late bloomer. Quirkless up until entrance exams. All Might basically trained me after an incident we encountered together. Between you and me, I think All Might is preparing to fight All for One. I think he’s preparing for me to realize his career is coming to an end,” revealed Midoriya, his shoulders sagging as he finally vented.

“That’s... rough. I mean! It’s amazing he trained you and all but, now you’re in the middle of all of this. How long have you been keeping all of this to yourself?” questioned Shinsou, slowly worried for Midoriya’s mental health.

Midoriya grinned, sitting back down. “I never told anyone anything before. I trust you Shinsou. I know I can relate to you about discrimination and bullying. I know you’ll be an incredible hero and you’ve worked so hard for everything.”

Shinsou leaned on Midoriya, offering some comfort. “Still, you’re incredible. You managed to rise to the top with only what a measly 3 or four months of having a quirk? You literally shatter your bones and don’t complain while others in your class act like babies.”

“I think everyone in my class is great! They all have their strong suits built differently! They’ve all had different experiences and they all have different needs. Since I was physically abused growing up, my pain tolerance is a lot higher than others.”

Shinsou narrowed his eyes, taking Midoriya’s hand and tightly gripping it in a protective manner, “I swear—.”

Midoriya squeezed back, opening his mouth and then closing it. Taking a small breath he finally spoke out. “Kacchan once told me back in junior high... to take a swan dive off the roof of the building. He said hopefully I’d get a quirk in my next life. I then got attacked by a sludge villain under a bridge when heading home from school. I almost died, but right as I was about to tap out All Might saved me. We ended up on the roof of a building and All Might told me I’d never be a hero without a quirk. I was so close to jumping, I had stood there for maybe ten minutes contemplating whether I was going to jump or not. I chose not to. I loved my mother too much to hurt her. Yet, Bakugo was attacked by the sludge villain. No heroes on-site even tried to help. So I did. Quirkless little Deku saving a boy who would beat me up and belittle me every second of every day. The hero’s shunned me while they praised Bakugo. Yet, All Might caught me on my way home. My bravery and impulse won him to train me, to help me become the best hero in his image.”

Shinsou suddenly turned Midoriya to face him, before Midoriya could even process what was happening. Cold lips pressed against his warm ones, covered in drugstore chapstick. Yet, Midoriya leaned into the kiss with a relaxed smile, his hands creeping up to wrap around Shinsou’s neck. Shinsou rested his hands on Midoriya’s hips, pulling him closer. After a couple more seconds they pulled back. Midoriya flushed a light pink.

Midoriya was too happy to be flustered or panicked. Midoriya felt so loved, flooded with passion and new excitement. His high school sweetheart, his first boyfriend, and his first relationship: Shinsou. Shinsou seemed just as happy, content with the minty flavor left on his lips.

“Midoriya, I’m so grateful you're here right now. I’m so thankful to feel your touch and taste your lips covered in mint chapstick. You’re so badass and powerful and smart and optimistic and I don’t think All Might could’ve chosen a better person to train. I have vowed to hate Bakugo even more now, and I definitely will be brainwashing All Might into doing the chicken dance the next time I see him,” joked Shinsou, a tired smile on his face.

Midoriya, picking up some books while rising to his feet, sighed, “I’m glad I didn’t give up. Your lips are cold… it sent lightening bolts down my spine in the best way possible. You're very hardworking Shinsou! Getting into UA is an incredible achievement! Besides, you’ll most definitely be in Class 1-A in no time. Mineta is definitely going to get expelled for his disgusting behavior sooner or later.”

Shinsou remained quiet for a while, trying to remember who Mineta was. “Oh, is he the one who sexually harasses any girl that breaths right?”

“Yeah, I may or may not have punted him once in the hallway because he was going to take a pic under Momo and Jiro’s skirt while they were distracted.”

“Nice! Well, we can train together until that happens! Thanks again for helping me strengthen my quirk.”

“You're welcome! It’s fun to try and break out of it. Sadly I’m just too talented for you to lock me in.”

“Yeah! I don’t even know how you access your quirk in the first place!”

“I have people that live in my head and kinda just send all the power I possess through me till I’m so overwhelmed that I release it through my fingers. Thankfully I don’t break them anymore.”

“Woah— wait, what? You’re like... possessed? Cool, do you think…like… I could get some and have them use my quirk to send me to sleep?”

“Alright Mr. Insomniac. Why don’t we try and get you a sleeping bag? It seems to get Aizawa through the day,” laughed Midoriya, putting the books away and slipping a couple into his bookbag.

“A... sleeping bag?”

“Yeah! And we can get you a purple one!”

“You know what? Alright. It’s worth a shot.”

“Yes! We can go after my personal training with All Might tonight!”

“Sweet, let’s head to the cafeteria! I wanna buy some green tea. Tea somehow keeps me awake more than coffee does.”

Shinsou hummed, taking some books himself. “I’m probably going to get a cold coffee. I really enjoy my double shot of expresso.”

Midoriya sighed walking out of the aisle with Shinsou, content, “You really are crazy Hitoshi!”

The two passed by, Midoriya going deathly still as he stared back at his friends that all looked at him with horrified stares.

Shinsou mutters under his breath only to look at Midoriya and notice him panicking and dissociating. “Shit. God, why can’t you respect people’s privacy. I knew 1-A was known for being noses but jeez you really take the cake.”

Quickly guiding Midoriya out of the library, Shinsou left Midoriya’s four closest friends crouched by the bookshelf to their thoughts and guilt.

Tsuyu finally broke the silence with an uncalled for statement that was what everyone was thinking, “Fuck.”

The End Of The Hero Era

The End Of The Hero Era

With the end of the war came a period of silence. The death of heroes shook society hard. Society had blamed and shunned heroes ruthlessly. Everyone pointed fingers at the people who offered safety and endless security. When they saw many who died at the hands of villains to save the world, no one knew what to do. Consumed by guilt and denial, civilians split in half.

The reconstruction period was difficult and challenging. Homelessness was at an all time high, funding was at an all time low, a depression overcame Japan.

Aizawa and Midoriya were in poor condition, but knew they needed to make a public appearance. Midoriya persevered, giving a heartfelt speech that had the world bowing on their knees. The world watched a 16 year old explain everything. Izuku Midoriya explained the arrival of quirks and the rise of All for One. He told the story of those that came before him. Midoriya took accountability for his role in the war. He explained he was the one mainly targeted despite the villains goal to wipe out all heroes.

While there was major changed that needed to be made, good came with the bad. Uraraka’s parent’s buisness was booming. With the high demand of builders and homes, her family’s buisness brought loads of money their way. Companies were determined to get repaired fast to have things up and running once more.

A year passed and everything was rebuilt. Companies were running again, schools were opening up their buildings. Third years from hero schools came out to claim their pro-hero title and get to work. Class 1-A still had to finish their education, but were allowed to go on patrol instead of PE. Relationships blossomed and friendships became unbreakable.

Katsuki and Izuku made things official the moment Katsuki was allowed to have visitors in the hospital. It was a rough reunion, but they’ve never felt better. Mitsuki, Masaru, and Inko had given the two some privacy before bursting in and restarting the tear fest.

Todoroki was proud of Katsuki for finally getting the guts to confess. He ended up joining the two in the hospital bed and cuddling with them. Todoroki was the official third wheel and he had no problem getting never ending attention from the two.

Uraraka took the time to accept what had happened. She found love in Iida, the person who always made her smile. Iida was surprised with the upfront confession from Uraraka, but awkwardly accepted it. Uraraka laughed at how red his face was, knowing he couldn’t hide behind his stoic personality.

Momo and Jiro found courage from Midoriya and Bakugo to confess their own love for one another. They knew the strong friendship they felt wasn’t enough. They had always known there was a bigger connection than what they made it out to be. They walked into visit Bakugo and Midoriya, holding hands happily. The new couples both greeted each other calmly. Bakugo was still high on painkillers but that’s beside the point.

Midoriya’s teeth had gotten a bit messed up in the fight. Once everything was healed, he needed braces to fix up the damage. Bakugo adored them, forcing Midoriya to smile just so he can admire the new look. Midoriya didn’t need to be asked to smile, far too happy that everything was over, Bakugo was safe, and he was now dating “Kacchan”.

Kirishima and Mina took a while to get to it, but they ended up making things official when the effects of the war died down a bit. Kaminari and Sero were optimistic about the future, knowing with All for One being dead there was a lot less trouble to come. Ojiro and Hagakure were much like Mina and Kirishima. They decided to start dating when things calmed down and the time felt right.

Aoyama and his family were able to recover. It was clear there were going to be some serious repercussions for their crimes. Despite the odds against him, Aoyama proved his determination to be a hero. Midoriya was going to help him through his journey.

With the rise of a new era, came new rules that needed to be enforced. The biggest issue being dwelled on was quirk-discrimination. Many villains rise came from mistreatment or the backlash they received from their quirk. Quirkless discrimination was also taken just as seriously due to the high suicide rate that came with not having a quirk. The hierarchy of quirks came to an end as heroism was no longer as big as it had been.

The world repaired itself and so did society. Time passed and soon class 1-A graduated. They were out building their own agencies, employing people left an right. While crime was very low, heroes were still needed for any kind of situation.

Midoriya and Bakugo started their own agency. They had a good bit of their classmates working there as well, and of course Todoroki was one of them.

It was a Saturday and Todoroki was in charge since Midoriya and Bakugo wanted off on the same day for a change.

Midoriya sat of the edge of the balcony, swinging his feet back and forth. The morning sun lit up his face and the breeze twirled his long hair. Bakugo hated his dumb, beautiful long hair. He knew Midoriya would eventually cut it, but it was still stupid. His bangs were clipped back and his earrings jingled.

There was something mesmerizing about Midoriya’s soft, gorgeous face and his scared, beefy body. Bakugo loved Midoriya. And when Midoriya turned around to flash a wide smile to show off his braces, Bakugo could pass out.

Something about the easy, carefree morning that would guide them to a passionate night made his gut bubble. Bakugo sets his cup of morning tea on the table with Midoriya’s before swinging his legs over the balcony and sitting down. Midoriya kissed his cheek before snuggling into his side. Bakugo sighed, feeling complete. His body moved naturally to sink into Midoriya.

“Morning Kacchan.”

“Mornin’ Izuku.”

Perfect.

F***ing Chair

F***ing Chair

Izuku was best friends with his guidance counselor. Inko knew about Izuku’s mental health and Izuku had no problem speaking his mind. Izuku had been hospitalized on a number of occasions because he told Inko. The guidance counselor was aware of Izuku being open with his mom which lowered the stress of betraying Izuku’s trust.

Izuku was incredibly depressed and struggled to cope with the bullying. Being able to wear a facade all day was exhausting as well. It was nice to walk into the counselor’s office and vent. While Izuku was open, he did hide it around his mother. He didn’t want her to worry more than she already was. Seeing the school counselor was the only option considering therapy was far too expensive.

Izuku had Major Depressive Disorder, Social Phobia, Attention Deficit Disorder, and was showing signs of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder more and more with every encounter of bullying he endured. It was clear the physical and mental abuse he received day in and day out didn’t help. There was no escape when he came home. Cyberbullying was just as severe.

During lunch, milk had been pored all over Izuku. Much to everyones shock, Izuku slammed his book shut and stormed out of the cafeteria. Katsuki scowled, irritated by Izuku’s dramatic reaction. The brown haired bully jumped, not expecting the retaliation. The other bully watched him leave, bewhildered before smirking.

“Let’s get him while he’s in the locker room!”

Katsuki didn’t have a problem with it, wanting to put Izuku back in his place. The other bully tagged along, lauging about how he was going to mock Izuku. They chased after him.

When Izuku’s three bullies spotted him down the hall, his shoulders were tensed, a milk trail following him. His book bag was in one hand and his notebook in the other. There was something about the aura he was radiating that made them uneasy. Midoriya stormed right up to the guidance counselor’s office, threw open the door and let it out.

“Do you know how much I want to fucking pick up a fucking chair and smash it across their fucking face?”

Katsuki stopped in his tracks, eyes wide in surprise. That went straight to his dick.

“Shit. Izuku’s told on us?” whispered the long-finger bully.

“That’s what you’re worried about? He sounds like he wants to kill us,” exasperated the brown haired bully.

Katsuki had more concerns than that. In that split second, he came to the realization he knew nothing about Izuku. He didn’t know Izuku cursed. He never would’ve guessed Izuku got angry. Katsuki wondered if Izuku already was telling the adults at school, was he telling Inko? In a matter of seconds, he realized his entire future lies in Izuku’s hands. Something about that made him oddly hot, feeling flustered by the information.

The guidance counselor didn’t even sound surprised by his outburst. “Oh I know you do. Thankfully you didn’t do it.”

Izuku took a sharp breath before slamming the door behind him. The building shook from the force of the slam, causing the three to share a stunned look. They all crept to the door to listen, needing to know more.

“I’m leaving my stuff here. I’m going to the showers and I’ll be back. I’m skipping next period,” informed Izuku. His tone was sharp, unsteady, and clearly still holding a lot of rage.

The counselor shook her head, fixing her notebook’s position on the desk. “Very well. I’ll try and dry off your things while you clean up.”

“Thank you.”

“No problem kid.”

The bullies booked it to a janitors closet down the hall to avoid getting caught. Izuku came out a couple seconds later, fingers flying on the keypads on his phone. When he disappeared down the hall, the group chose to part their separate ways and head to class.

Katsuki sat at his desk with a scowl. He was frustrated by his feelings. As much as he wanted to hate Midoriya and unleash his rage to make up for extreme weakness he was feeling, he truly didn’t want to. There was some deep fondness resonating within him. He was terrified and that excited him.

Izuku reappeared a period later with a drained expression. His hair was dry, his clothes were completely changed, and his bag and notebook looked perfectly fine. While the trio were mad their stunt didn’t leave any long lasting damage, they were glad their actions didn’t cause him to be so pissed off that he’d kill them.

None of the idiots wanted to be hit in the fucking face by a fucking chair.

The Fatherless Pianist

Pianist! Deku (Contains MonoDeku and Hisashi Midoriya is dead)

The Fatherless Pianist

Midoriya knew his dream was unrealistic. He knew that his brains alone wouldn’t assure a spot in UA. Still, it wasn’t impossible. He easily could have it all with a support system and a mentor. Yet, he was absolutely alone. He’d train his mind, pushing his mental and emotional awareness to it’s peak. He understood how the world worked and why people acted the way they do.

He found a peace in violence. He found a feeing of what it was like to be a hero through being bullied. He understood the fight or flight response, the adrenaline rush, the fear, and the impulse of immediately knowing what to do. He understood pain and remaining calm despite his depression, anxiety, and possible ADD issues.

Midoriya found contentment in a random store he saw on his way home through the quiet part of town. The doors were wide open as the sound of a grand piano rang through the bright streets. Midoriya found himself walking right into a beautiful music shop. A lovely woman, soft features with a look of passion, poured her whole body and soul into the chords and notes the piano possessed if touched just right.

Mesmerized, Midoriya stood in the doorway with his fists tightly gripping his book-bag straps. The woman felt his stare and quickly finished her piece and welcomed him.

“Hello! Welcome! How my I help you today?”

Midoriya immediately flushed red, waving his hands urgently. “Sorry! I just heard your playing and I came over here! I’m so sorry if I disrupted you or interrupted your peace! I just thought it was amazing and—!”

The woman let out a airy laugh, motioning for him to sit down. “Nonsense! I barely get any people to enter simply from my music. I’m more than happy to have someone who has a taste for piano.”

Midoriya wilted slightly, looking for the sheet music only to see there was none. “How’d you do that? Play without music?”

“My quirk! I call it Natural Touch! Basically, I’m a natural piano player. I can make a whole piece simply by moving my fingers to however I’m feeling!”

“Wow! Incredible!”

“Indeed it is. I have a feeling the fate brought you here. Now, sit. Let’s find your calling.”

———————————————————————

Two years passed and Midoriya was finally in his third year of junior high. Unfortunately the school year had just started and Midoriya was no where close to having his interaction with the sludge villain and All Might.

Midoriya was quick to clean his desk, wiping off the marker-written graffiti that was nothing more than unoriginal and overused insults with the new cleaner he purchased online. Tossing his bag over his shoulder, Midoriya rushed out of the school in a hurry. He had told the woman who he now called Sae-san he had finished his newest piece.

He had based the entire piece off of the overwhelming intoxication of needing to be perfect. It was like chasing after your dreams and seeing how far away it was but still rushing forward, wonderfully out of breath as you panted. It was almost as if you were running in a endless open field of beautiful flowers and lively green grass as the wind twirled and tugged at your hair. It was the struggle, the fight and pride bubbling in your stomach as you find a motivation inside your gut. It was a long and beautifully painfully journey. Short and swift moments that switched to tedious and serious clashes, the anxiety, and then the run. It was the home stretch where you admire the world around as you make it to the end.

Midoriya saw the beauty. He saw it all. Now he has put it into a beautiful piece to tell the story, to covey the emotions.

Running out the school doors, he failed to see his bullies waiting for him outside. For the group to see Midoriya run, it brought a smirk among their faces as they assumed he was trying to escape a beating. Midoriya was swift on his feet, somewhat similar to a beautiful fox. The group was surprised at his speed and agility. At some points they lost him and could only spot him when he was rushing through a long open area.

About three corners away from his destination, the bullies lost Midoriya. Frustrated, they settled on beating him up first thing the next time they saw him. Deciding that they could just hang out since they were all together, the group wandered around the area seeing all the small shops.

Soon, they arrived on the same block as the music shop, Midoriya’s location. Unaware of Midoriya’s presence, they mindlessly bought some snacks at a small convince store. As soon as they left the store, they sat down on a bench right outside the music store.

The bully with hideous long grey hair almost spat out his drink when he looked into the window only to see Midoriya. This, of course, caught the attention of Bakugo and the black haired douchebag. The other two looked just as surprised to see Midoriya.

Bakugo smirked as he went to get up. “Found you, worthless fucker!”

Holding Bakugo back by his arm, the black haired bully didn’t even spare a glance to the blond. “Hold up. Deku is fucking going to play the piano?”

“No fucking way,” snorted the grey haired idiot.

Bakugo lowered himself back onto the bench, a psychotic smile worn on his face. “Oh, this is gonna be pathetic!”

The two nodded in agreement watching. Suddenly a beautiful woman rushed over with a chair. Midoriya seemed surprised by her excitement, letting out a squeaking noise. The woman let out an airy laugh as he clapped.

Just like on the fateful day Midoriya met her, the windows were wide open along with the front door. The sun was shining bright as the sky was a beautiful shade of blue. Fluffy, lively clouds offered periodic moments of shade that came and went as they pleased.

Midoriya seemed to realize something as he shot up from where he was sitting and rushed behind the counter. The woman watched with a patient smile, unbothered. Midoriya returned holding a stack of papers.

The woman looked up at him in amazement. “Is... is this the sheet music?”

Midoriya eagerly nodded, handing the sheets to her. The woman was quickly to pull the pages apart and lay them out. He paused when she was dividing post-it notes. She gasped harshly as she stared at the nervous boy standing over her.

“Are these overlapping one another?”

Midoriya shyly nodded, motioning to the post-its. “Yes. Using a layering device, each of these chords will be overlapping and progressively being played over one another. After so many counts, the new layer will be able to be taken.”

The woman gasped, scooping up all the papers and cheering out in pure joy. “Genius! You’re amazing! Adding and removing layers to create a passionate and climaxing piece! The “building-up” style will be a moving one!”

Midoriya shook his head, waving his hands. “Well— yes! That was the whole goal but I wouldn’t call it genius! Besides, I wouldn’t ever be as amazing as you!”

“Having a quirk has absolutely nothing to do with talent and skill. You are a wonderful person and I’m grateful to have you be a part of my life. Now... play,” the woman nudged, resting a hand on Midoriya’s shoulder.

Midoriya nodded sitting down onto the bench. The woman looked at the papers before extending them out. “Do you need these?”

Midoriya offered a warm smile. “Nope. I actually printed them off just for you.”

The lady chuckled, holding them close. “Of course, I shouldn’t have expected any less of you than to memorize the piece by heart.”

Midoriya connected his device to piano and made sure it was working. After quickly changing a setting, Midoriya finally nodded and started the countdown. Nodding his head to the tempo he prepared his hands.

Taking a quick breath he started to play.

Simply tapping one note before randomly throwing in another for a while almost brought the bystanders to laughter. Midoriya picked up his hands as the notes continued the play while he quickly moved his fingers to add a layer. The process repeated, and repeated, and repeated.

The woman seemed just as stunned as his bullies. Their jaws hung low as Midoriya passionately played, eyes occasionally opening as he smiled. The wind picked up as the sun almost magically came out from the clouds, blinding everyone with Midoriya’s beauty and power.

The woman closed her eyes, body swaying to the music as he allowed herself to feel. She felt the struggles, the fear, the flight, and the childish excitement of his existence.

Midoriya suddenly cut off multiple layers with the single tap of his foot on an electronic pedal and was beginning to relayer all over again. It was a beautiful mess of emotion invoking chords and jumbles of notes.

The group of bullies hadn’t moved an inch, too entranced to do much of anything. They felt his music, his mind, his passion. It was oddly uplifting yet leaving them in a drowning feeling. The way Midoriya’s messy curly hair was picked up and tossed in the wind as his eyes were gently closed as his body pushed and occasionally ground forward with power. His head bowed and rolled to the music as every ounce of himself was the piece.

Finally he came to a stop before taking a deep breath and opening his eyes. Suddenly a present voice caught everyone off guard.

“Can I please take you out on a date?” a voice desperately asked.

Midoriya jumped, his whole body turning to see who had said such a thing to him even he already knew who. An average looking guy with short blond hair and blue eyes stood in the doorway with a smirk. He was wearing a stylish polo with some black ripped jeans. In his hand was a plastic bag.

Midoriya sighed, excusing himself from the shop owner. “Neito, why bother? I already told you—!”

“That I can’t like you because you’re quirkless. Unfortunately you can’t tell me who I can like. So I’m here to forcefully take you out on a date. First, I have some offerings.”

Midoriya couldn’t help but smile as he made his way over to Monoma. “What is it now?”

Monoma opened the bag and first pulled out a small object. “Hold out your hands.”

Midoriya raised a brow, hesitantly holding out his hands. Monoma quickly put the object in Midoriya’s hands only to reveal a beautiful crystal. Looking at it, Midoriya suddenly made the connection.

“Are you trying to woo me like penguins do?”

“Yes. Next.”

Midoriya waited patiently as Monoma carefully reached a hand into the plastic bag. Midoriya found himself growing nervous when Monoma started pulling his hand up, out of the bag. Holding a box he quickly got down on one knee and revealed a ring.

“Marry me!”

Midoriya stared at the boy blankly, watching the eager look in Monoma’s eyes as he looked as if he was about to shatter the box in his hand. Midoriya’s moment of shock passed and genuine embarrassment and joy rushed through him.

“Neito! We are 14! We can’t get married!”

Neito stood up, still holding the ring. “I don’t care! You’re a goddess and I’d be damned if I didn’t claim you!”

Midoriya couldn’t help but roll his head back as he was gasping for air. “Oh my god! You’re like a possessive puppy, that’s so cute!”

“Hey! It’s romantic and I won you over with the crystal!” Monoma declared as he took the ring out of the box.

The shop owner walked over with a large smile. “Consider it a promise ring if engagement ring doesn’t suit your fancy. Monoma, tell him the ring is a symbol of your love for him and your plans to marry him."

Midoriya gasped in betrayal, looking at the woman. “Nagisa! How could you!”

The woman, now known as Nagisa, laughed, “You need a boyfriend, girlfriend, anyone. Besides, I like this one, he’s a bit of a brat but isn’t scared to show his affection. You need someone like that.”

Midoriya crossed his arms, looking at Monoma stubbornly. “Well, I don’t know why you keep coming back. I’ve turned you down every time for the about the past half year. Why would you waste so much time on trying to win someone like me over?”

Bakugo was officially broken, his eyes wide as he was about to explode the soda tightly gripped in his hands. His lackeys on the other hand were trying to hide their guilt due to seeing the effect their actions have had on Midoriya. By hiding their guilt, it was more like stuffing their face with chips while watching the scene before them as if this was the best entertainment they’ve ever seen in years.

Honestly, it was unsettling for them all to see Midoriya be the one rejecting advances. They were especially surprised to see him openly say he was quirkless and Monoma ignore Midoriya’s explanations.

Monoma dramatically took Midoriya’s wrist and held the ring close to Midoriya’s face. “This ring is a symbol of my love for you and my plans to marry you. Whether or not you accept it, I want you to know that you are a dream. God, I couldn’t even imagine someone as perfect as you. Pretty, yet talented and dedicated. Shameless per say.”

Midoriya was breathless as the ring was slipped onto his finger. The words gently but sternly spoken to him seemed to sink deep. Midoriya felt relief wash over him as tears just started falling down his face. The two watching him sudden burst into tears freaked out, worried they upset him or went too far.

Midoriya laughed as he cried, ignoring the fact Monoma hadn’t been able to fully slip on the ring. “You idiot! Don’t talk like that.”

Monoma realized it was tears of... not a negative emotion and smirked. “Oh? But it’s true. I will marry you!”

Midoriya rolled his eyes, wiping his tears. “Alright. Then you’re willing to meet my parents then?”

Nagisa, who was now cackling, lowered herself to the ground. “Oh my god! This is why I love you Izuku!”

Monoma took a deep breath before standing in a “power pose”.

“Yes! I will do it! I will get their blessing.”

Midoriya nodded, walking to his book bag and digging inside it. Walking back over he held up a necklace with an odd shaped charm on it.

“Neito, meet my dad. Dad, meet Neito.”

Nagisa must have seen it coming as she started blasting disco music. Neito looked horrified while Midoriya smugly held up a necklace containing his fathers ashes.

Bakugo and the bullies felt their hearts stop as they’ve bullied someone who’s lost their father. To make it worse, they probably bullied him the day he found out his father died and throughout the course of him trying to cope with it.

Neito immediately panicked. “I’m so sorry! I didn’t know that—!”

Midoriya waved his hand, ignoring the apology. “Lighten up. It was last year and I never met the asshole. We just got permission to have him buried over here after being cremated so me and mom just took some ashes to keep.”

Nagisa walked back over, holding a water bottle. “Yeah, I remember you coming in one day with a disappointed face. All you ever said was “my dad died before I even got to meet him. He just died. I’m literally thirteen.”

Neito seemed to chipper up, a genuine smile on his face as he looked as the necklace Midoriya was holding. “Just wondering... why don’t you wear it? You have it on a necklace.”

Midoriya shrugged, putting it into his bookbag. “Well, my bullies would probably take it from me and destroy it. They don’t really consider what I posses, they just want to ruin it.”

“How? Why? You’re amazing! What is wrong with those assholes?” Neito gasped harshly, his hands gesturing to sculpt Midoriya’s body.

Midoriya shrugged, finally admiring the ring. “I don’t know. They’ve all just treated me that way after I came out quirkless. I just don’t carry anything important on with me anymore.”

“So you won’t be wearing my ring?” Neito frowned, looking at the ring.

Midoriya smiled, taking his necklace and adding ring to the chain. Clasping the back of the necklace, Midoriya cheerfully held it up to show Monoma.

“See! I’ll always have it. Although, I will probably wear it all the time outside of school,” Midoriya suggested his plan.

Monoma smugly put his hands on his hips, pleased. Midoriya got nervous at that look, preparing himself. Monoma lunged at Midoriya, swooping the boy up and hauling him up bridal style.

“Bye, Nagisa! Im taking my fiancé out on a date.”

Midoriya shouted, reaching out for Nagisa. “We aren’t engaged!”

“You didn’t refuse my date proposal,” Monoma proudly pointed out.

Midoriya deflated, allowing himself to be carried out the store by Monoma. Nagisa happily escorted the two out before quickly telling Midoriya to play the piece for her again later. Midoriya rolled his eyes, agreeing to it as he was taken out of the store.

Midoriya sighed, looking up at Monoma. “Could you set me down?”

Monoma stopped walking, looking at Midoriya, “As long as you let me hold your hand.”

Midoriya couldn’t help but smile, looking up at Monoma. “Deal.”

Once Midoriya was back on his feet, he took off his uniform shirt to reveal a slim-fit solid red bishop long-sleeve tee. It was tucked into his pants and matched his res shoes. Throwing the uniform top into his bag, he turned to smile at Monoma.

“I just had to get off that uniform top. I wish I had planned on going out, otherwise I would’ve brought a full change of clothes. Anyway, lead the way!” Midoriya turned to flash a warm smile at the boy he was now dating.

Monoma couldn’t help but stare at Midoriya momentarily, grateful for the boy he finally achieved winning over. Taking the boys hand, Monoma smirked.

“Alright, you better get prepared. I’m about to take you out on the best first date ever.”

Midoriya smugly raised a brow, slightly squeezing back Monoma’s hand before walking forward to signal it was time to move. “Well, I’m waiting.”

Midoriya officially had caught each of his bullies by surprised. In more ways than one. All three felt anger. The problem about that was that they weren’t sure who it was directed at. Either way, Midoriya scored a sexy boyfriend and the envy of his stubborn bullies that refused to accept his success.
