Shin Tsukimi and that fucking scarf he doesn't know how he came to wear. Did Hiyori leave it behind? Did he see the same one in a store? And how long did he stare at it? How long did he consider buying it and then thinking that was stupid? Did he purposefully search one out? Did Hiyori, someone so set on not leaving a trace of his existence, leave it behind??????
My favorite thing about Shin and Hiyori/Midori’s relationship is how contradictory everything is, specifically with Shin. Both pre-game and during the death game his thoughts are truly all over the place; he is so conflicted and it's so beautiful.
Thinking of Hiyori as a friend while recognizing how fearful he is of him. Trusting Hiyori with knowledge of his life and struggles but not knowing anything about Hiyori himself and CHOOSING not to look deeper. Looking up to him like some sort of anti-hero. Feeling relief at Hiyori's disappearance along with deep sadness at losing his friend. Not knowing if he should look for Hiyori, then admitting that he did everything to find him. Saying that Midori is only an enemy during the death game, trying to pretend as if his part in the game doesn’t effect him and that he’s just an obstacle, but he's truly so STUCK on it, constantly searching for answers through thinly veiled questions and words.

in the 'shes on the go' scene, with sou, its supposed to be him making an attempt to escape after the ch2 main game, when following the emotion route and keeping kanna alive. he hasnt got a collar in this scene, having previously taken it off. (thats def not me just being lazy and forgetting to draw it. def not.) i tried to make the lyrics sync with whats going on onscreen, like 'flowers for the sinking dead' gets kanna and 'with hospitals' is qtaro. for the yabusame siblings part, 'way too fast' was alice's since he, in his rage and grief over the ranger's taunting, acted way too fast and let his anger get the best of him. reko's was 'way too slow', since if she had acted a bit faster, maybe not let the fake get the knife or something similar, she may have been able to stay alive. 'shell turn to stone' refers to nao finding out she's the sacrifice, more or less bound to die or to kill everyone else. she hasnt got much of a choice, stuck where she is as if she were stone. 'somebody sighs who is not in disguise anymore' can work with several characters, but i chose kai and joe. they both in a way end up losing their disguise and have nothing better to do than sigh, knowing their fates were now set and anything they did would be impractical at best. kai lost his disguise of being a normal participant of the death game, having been revealed to have some connections with asunaro and also having been revealed to be the sage. joe lost his disguise of being the sage, having been revealed to be the sacrifice. the failure of their disguises is what inevitably led to their doom. for the end part, the joe and kai parallels, in the part with the hands the backgrounds have some significance. the joe one features sara's hand, holding the clicker given to her by miley. the background is dark, while a ring of light circles her hand. this was meant to symbolize how her action held hope, hope shed be able to save him, hope there was still something she could do, but ultimately she failed. she wasnt going to be allowed a chance in the first place, hence how the majority of the background is dark. the hope born by desperation, the light born by dark, ultimately failed and was proven to be purposeless. whereas kai's, the majority is light while the hand itself is surrounded by darkness, symbolizing how his action held despair and anguish, but was also a beacon of hope, his way of resistance and stopping the organization from taking away their freedom fully. he chose to die, on his own terms, and that action, although born from a sense of futile desperation, also gave him a chance to fight back in his own way, however measly that chance may be. ok i think im done thanks for attending my ted talk everyone, hope yall enjoyed!!

hey guys do we realize that the main difference betwen how kai and midori developed is that kai was given the chance to learn what normal life and love and family was like by working with chidouins while midori was kept under asunaros thumb all his life. do we realize that just a few changes could have kai acting just as cruel and merciless as midori. do we realize that midori is a victim of asunaro too, and though that doesn't excuse his actions it does make them more tragic. do we realize this or are we all being serious when we say midori is the only character who isn't worth redemption.
qtaro really is the strongest character in the cast because if midori came to MY room dressed as a nurse one of us is leaving pregnant and it is NOT going to be me
And it's also shown in Shin's memory thing(when you give him the lantern at chap3) he mentions about him seeing Midori as an older brother!
Hello, yttd fan. I've heard you enjoy both shin tsukimi and midori's characters. In front of you is a pencil and a sheet of paper. Right now I will show you multiple scenes from the game that talk about shin and midori, which include:
Shin having a panic attack upon seeing a photo of Midori
AI Shin talking about how Midori enjoyed seeing him scared
Midori saying he wants to kill Shin and considering it a display of affection
Midori immediately killing AI Shin when he showed some semblance of independence
Now, using the pencil and paper, you will write your thoughts about these scenes. If your notes conclude that Shin and Midori are a cute healthy couple, imply that there's no power imbalance in this character dynamic, or use the words "toxic yaoi" at any point, I will activate the mechanism which will drop this church organ on your head. first off, you don’t know if he genuinely likes you or not and most likely will never be sure
Maybe you’re a piece of pawn in his stupid chess game but what can you do?
Midori manipulates and gaslights you just like with anyone else, you’re the primary victim that receives most of it though
He seems like a man that didn’t have a heart, and he literally doesn’t
Feels like he doesn’t know how to act in a relationship or more like he doesn’t care enough to
You think he’d choose his work over you anytime
He’s so on and off with his affection
He treats you like everyone else, particularly more strict with you sometimes and scolds you more often than the other participants
This fucker is adamant about “being fair to all participants and not letting a personal relation change that” and yet you feel like he’s being the most unfair to you
Even more passive aggressive when it comes to you, he loves to bring up the past and laugh when you get pissed
But then sometimes, he would appear out of nowhere and gives you a quick peck
You’d expect him to be open to PDA, and yet he only ever initiates (and allows) any affection when it’s just the two of you
You’re conflicted, though, at certain times he’ll choose a timing where most of everyone is gathered in one place and approach you with the most affection you’ll ever receive from him
He makes sure everyone is looking, maybe it’s his way of showing his twisted sense of superiority?
Midori very quickly reverts back to ignoring you if he is satisfied
You learn that he is extremely possessive
Yes, you get fed up with his shit many times and he knows it well
Does he ever apologize? Never.
Like ever.
You could confront him, but he’ll give you the same saccharine smile and feigns innocence
“What’s wrong with me showing my lover off to everyone? Does that upset you?”

Weirdly loves small talk
Midori would interrogate you whenever he pleases and ask about your favorite color to wear on a rainy day
You cant tell if he really cares about your responses at all because he just stands there and blinks with his smile and throws follow up questions at you
Kind of feels like he wants to know everything about you but also nothing at the same time
Remembers small, itty bitty details about you
It’s endearing but also freaks you out because he remembers which angle you prefer to wear your collar
Very touchy when he wants to be, but acts like a jerk when he decides he doesn’t feel like it
Limited use of pet names because he prefers calling you by your name
Will call you sweetheart (mockingly most of the time), “my favorite participant,” or a shortened version of your name
Likes to receive but doesn’t give, unless he needs something
You don’t know why you’re still with him
Midori is very good at making you feel special but also worthless
Will give you overly expensive presents that you don’t need and stare at your reaction as you open them
(does he think this makes up for his neglect as a partner?)
Very likely to give you jewelry with his initials, he might have one with your initials but won’t wear it
Sucks at comforting
He actually just doesn’t comfort at all
He makes things worse when you’re upset

Midori rarely mentions your relationship in front of the other participants, but when he does, he refers to you as his lover
Will pair you with him with the red light, he knows you don’t have the guts to kill him
Urges you on to kill him way too often
He gives you a smug knowing grin and a kiss when you can’t do it
Don’t try to physically hurt him, it turns him on (he won’t hesitate to break your arm)
