Minecraft Survival - Blog Posts

I've realized something.

Something while I turn off my minecraft, staring down on my screen after (probably) a solid hour of first creating a new world on the game, the first I've touched the game itself in a good half year of watching youtube, to look around the generated world in creative.

However, I decided something inside me just clicked, and I switched to survival with nothing but a bow and arrow for fun.

I shot animals and stole their meat, died two times on my first night, got on a boat and rowed through two island stops, ransacked an abandoned dessert village, attempted to mine a cave(I may or may not have turned peaceful on real quick due to almost dying at the mouth of the sand), vibed in a village without raiding it, and settling on a majestically made mountain top before saving and quitting.

Its hitting hard how I had fun throughout the whole thing. I first did this because I wanted to get on track to getting good at the game, but now it didn't really matter. I had fun, I may have conned a bit, but I had fun. After so many years of watching minecraft and minecraft youtubers do this with skills they've culminated throughout the years when I've barely ever played myself, I feel a probable bite of nostalgia now for some reason. To when before turtles were there, to when before the raw iron were still ore blocks, to when coppers weren't there yet or any of the sort, to when I was still a kid watching the game through a video.

Dangit guys I've gone emotional smh

🏯 Building My Japanese-Inspired Minecraft Home! 🎌✨

Hey everyone! I’ve been working on planning my next Minecraft build, and I’m super excited (and a little nervous) about it. I’m attempting to create a Japanese traditional home with a U or C-shaped layout, featuring tatami rooms, a tea area, an open courtyard, and a cozy kitchen. 🍡🌿

I mapped out the floor plan in advance to make sure everything fits within my 28x17 block space (with maybe a pagoda-style roof? πŸ€”) It took some brainstorming, but I think I’ve got something solid!

I also used this floor planner tool to help visualize the build: πŸ”— https://mcdesign.michd.me/

Now, all that’s left is to actually build it in Minecraft… which is the fun but possibly frustrating part. πŸ˜… Wish me luck, and if you have any ideas for decor, materials, or small details, feel free to drop a comment!

🏯✨ γ‚γ‚ŠγŒγ¨γ† ~! ✨🏯
