I have joined a wargaming group to play Mordheim! It is an out-of-print skirmish game from 1999 that is no longer supported, but the community keeps the game alive and all the rules can be found for free online (broheim.net) The game feels like being the coach of an entire D&D party with a common theme. It is played with miniatures and usually with lots of terrain simulating the ruin cursed city of Mordheim. And get this, your small guys often times level up and find cool new loot. And lasting injuries. And what's my warband? Oldschool ratmen, the Skaven of clan Eshin.

This time around in miniatures, it's Blood Skeletons!! These were fairly easy to approach, colourscheme-wise and how forgiving they were to mistakes - which was super nice. Also, it's pretty cool how a bit of gloss vanish can make them look extra grody. Can you imagine how their necromancer makes the earth start boiling in front of you and as it turns to dark red sludge, these guys crawling out of the puddles of goo?? Gross! Amazing! Made from Soulblight Gravelords Deathrattle Skeletons and Wizkids Deep Cuts Unpainted skeletons.

More miniatures? More miniatures! A band of possible D&D adventurers made from different Frostgrave sets and pebbles I found in our driveway.

Do you folks want to see some miniatures? These mind flayer-like characters are made from different Frostgrave sets and parts from a bag of Warhammer 40K spruces I got from a friend.
I started turning a Rolife room kit into a detective's office! Here's a very tiny red string board made from craft foam, wood, paint, a dollhouse newspaper, pins, and embroidery thread <3
Remember Sylvanian Families animals?

Find this delight in my Poshmark listings- cast bronze mini camera sculpture - with loops- can add a strap- make it a pendant or key chain or adornment or add to your collection. Bronze casts are first sculpted in wax- it is a multistep tedious process- resulting in a long lasting one of a kind casting. This camera fits in the palm of your hand. Has two little loops- integrated into the camera body- just like a real camera. It is hollow- a nice weight- very different than other metals. Artist unknown. Origin unknown. Age unknown.
Sold! But there are hundreds of other cool, unique, handy, affordable, rare, useful, etc…. Items for sale in my Poshmark listings. Head on over & check them out :)
SOLD- (but go to my Poshmark closet for oodles of other great items.)
1. You are most welcome! 🙂
2. It’s a great plan! (For instance: the damaged ruins make me think less of actual cover, and more of a ring of improvised defensive spines. I can’t wait to see how this develops with the addition of both further structures, and lots of greeblies!)
3. I wasn’t familiar with Scratch Bashing; but I’ve checked out a few videos already, and I’m sold! Thank you for the excellent recommendation.
@pamprinninja ty kindly! That's actually exactly the plan, good thinking - something between Howl's Moving Castle and a pine cone, heavily blended together with lots of greebles and pipes and plating etc, in the style of Scratch Bashing on YouTube. He's one of my favourite influences for things like this, I'd highly recommend him for anyone even tangentially interested.
