I know they couldn’t really do Luna’s iconic magic hair - but they could’ve at least TRIED harder to give her a nice hairstyle.
And it’s funny that while everyone has some sorta pastel fantasy skin tone - Big Mac is just a natural skin tone.
Luna’s skin tone doesn’t really look like a lightened version of her dark blue. It looks more lavender. Her color palette seems completely different from her pony form. She doesn’t really look like Luna in the way other characters resemble each other’s forms.

Appledash kids/twiset kids/startix kid! Spindrift, Cirrus Wisp, and Jazz Apple are appledash kids, spindrift being the younger twin of her and Cirrus. The little grey reference photo displays former designs of Nova Glow (startrix kid), Evening Star (twiset kid) and Blaze Star (younger twiset kid). The crappy doodles below are little color redesigns of Nova Glow and Blaze Star. Spindrift and Cirrus wisp are pegasai, however Spindrift is disabled and cannot fly!
Idk why but I felt like sharing some doodles
First one is from experimenting with the idea of tragic just barely missed the chance Rarijack (featuring applejack with her mom’s curly hair), second was testing out the idis paint lasso tool, third is just a random doodle, and fourth is of one of my redesign ideas for Izzy
i like to imagine Pegasus as a chimera race like griffons, hence the good relationship between the two of them
griffons would be a carnivorous chimera of predatory birds and cats. Pegasi would be a herbivorous variant between ponies, birds, and cats
I feel like the other two pony races would find the pegasi vaguely off putting bc of that. Pegasus would look very different from each other, and unicorns/earth ponies would struggle to see where the griffon starts and the pony begins
Fluttershy is likely seen as rather undesirable by other pegasi bc of the fact that she just looks like a winged pony. She doesn’t look particularly unique, and she isn’t a strong flier or powerful in general, so other pegasi would probably rate her a tentative 3 at best, and that’s only bc her lion eyes are insanely wicked
however, the other races would think she’s insanely stunning bc of that. They’d consider her ethereal and almost angelic, and that’s definitely one of the reasons she’d be hiding out in the fringes of ponyville. She’s either mocked in the sky or stared at in the towns/cities, so there’s rlly just no winning

i dont feel like a real mlp fan
after scrolling through tumblr for a bit, i noticed theres a ton of people who post fanart and their theories and what they think of the ponies and its making me doubt my love for my little pony. i love mlp so much, i've watched it ever since i was a child and ive grown up with that show, but seeing how everyone is so like... idk this feels like a sport and im losing miserably please spare me im sorry i dont have all the facts i love mlp i do please
