okay but imagine-
Shen Qingqiu ends up as Mobei Jun’s “date” to a demon meeting of sorts, due to Shang Qinghua’s workload just being too much to make it. They’ve been going along with this sort of “arrangement” (throuple? is it a relationship?) for a bit now, but SQQ still isn’t sure that MBJ even LIKES him. Surely he’s just tolerating him for Qinghua’s sake. A few hours into the event, SQQ is way too overwhelmed. His head is spinning, it’s too loud, too much- it’s all a blur already. He can barely discern what’s happening, and he’s ready to find a corner and hope no demon notices him hyperventilating. Before he can leave though, a hand is on his shoulder, and he’s back at Moshang’s place (their place? Is it his too now?) and he’s being led to their bed, a voice telling him to breathe. Mobei Jun is just holding him, cold and solid, a hand running through his hair. They just sit there, until SQQ can feel the room he’s in again. He knows then that it isn’t just Qinghua that MBJ cares about. SQQ is cared about - genuinely, really cared about - by two people. It’s more than he could’ve asked for.

When it comes to transmigration, i see Mobei Jun like a middle age dad telling his friends that “this is my daughter, he’s transgender!”. i love the fact that shang qinghua, who has always considered himself the height of mediocrity, scored the two pickiest people in the world: Mobei Jun, who will simply freeze people into ice cubes and leave them to die if he doesn't vibe with them, and Shen yuan, who was born being a hater, died being a hater, woke up, and continued being a hater.
Shen Qingqiu literally used to have lists of cup ramen brands he refused to eat bc the texture of their noodles was off, and Mobei Jun has killed people for disliking the sound of their feet when they walked.

Mobei-jun, who always has nice things to say about Shang Qinghua’s writing (mostly because he has no standards for good earth literature), but usually doesn’t get to reading it until a few days, versus Shen “You couldn’t PAY me to read this” Qingqiu, who practically rips the pages from Shang Qinghua’s hands once they’re finished and comes back with full annotations in the next two hours

Has wife one fallen asleep while writing again? Better bring him blankets to keep his environment at optimal temperature for growth. Wife two is too busy grading assignments and skipping meals?
