✧ Two-faced kitty
I'm REALLY happy that my interpretation of Moonpaw was somewhat close to canon!
Always thought that ginger-side is the freaky twin, aka The Voice. And real Moonpaw not very happy about it.. cus' she can't control herself when ginger gremlin is active, same for sibling tho.

Moonpaw and… Snowkit?!? Au
One day Moonpaw gets abducted by Twolegs like Leafpaw was in the New Prophecy. Instead of escaping however, she ends up getting stuck in a Twoleg den with a kittypet.
The kittypet is an old, white tom with claw scars on his shoulder. He is also deaf, though Moonpaw thinks that it’s just from old age.
The Kittypet is named Snowy. He can understand Moonpaw a bit through lip reading, but they still struggle to communicate with one another. Still, he does manage to answer some of Moonpaw’s questions.
“How did you get those scars?” -Moonpaw
“I’don’t remember. I’was young.” -Snowy
Snowy ends up telling Moonpaw about how he’s moved owners a couple of times, and has now ended up here. But he’s deeply unhappy being a kittypet since he’s really lonely, so when Moonpaw offers him a place back in ThunderClan, Snowy quickly agrees to help in her escape plan.
The two end up getting freed and make it back to clan territory where a patrol finds them. The patrol is happy that Moonpaw’s okay, but is distrustful of Snowy until Moonpaw vouches for him. Squirrelstar herself is on the patrol, and makes the decision to allow Snowy to join the clan as an elder.
The patrol lead the two back to camp and Snowy watches Moonpaw intently so he doesn’t miss what she’s saying as she tells him about the clan. Moonpaw is told to help Snowy settle in the elder’s den and they head in that direction.
The elders are telling each other stories when the two walk in. Every cat’s heads turn to face them, but one in particular recognizes Snowy. It’s the kit he failed to save. The kit he wanted as an apprentice, despite the fact that the white kit was deaf and everyone else doubted he could be a warrior without being able to hear.
“S-Snowkit?”
Everyone stares at Brackenfur. Brambleclaw looks at Snowy again. He sees Snowy’s scars, and remembers the hawk.
when Squirrelstar calls the meeting to announce that Snowy will be joining the clan, the clan doesn’t just welcome an old lonely kittypet into the clan,
they welcome the deaf cat that was taken from his home so long ago as well.

My actual MOONPAW REFERENCE?!?!?!??!?!!
Decided to make her a mix of spiky and curly, and I also thought “let’s just make her mildly jacked” so she has really powerful front legs now that is my hc. In my original designs she actually looked like she would’ve been a walking taser because I made her so silky and wiry and Jesus that would pick up so much static electricity. One could even said she had lightning powers.
To be honest I’ve been messing with her design for a while bc I have NO clue what her personality is gonna be until the book actually drops, so this is prone to change. One thing I think I will keep is the little crescent-moon hair piece on her forehead because y’all I think it’s kinda adorable like what.

This design really stumped me for a minute but I FINALLY think I’m happy with the one I have right now, and I’m even MORE happy with the lighting (YOU GUYS IVE FINALLY FIGURED OUT HOW TO PROPERLY USE LAYERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
For that reason i also decided to mess with backgrounds again as usually my bgs tend to just be kinda flat and single colour, using a base image tho is a total lifesaver y’all
Square brushes are also now my favorite in the world what the hell this made my art look SO much cooler I would HIGHLY recommend!!!!!!
