I know it's coming and I'm never ready!
I'm literally crying for a man who died a decade before I was born!
I'm looking at you "street gang" (HBO Max documentary). Dude I cried so hard when they showed the interview of Jim saying that he and Frank Oz will be doing Bert and Ernie in their 80's. Do you know how NOT ok that is.
And I also cried when they showed Jerry Nelson and Richard Hunt doing the two-headed monster. Those two do not get enough love and acknowledgement! (I could be wrong, but I don't think either of them were mentioned by name in the Documentary! But they were definitely featured multiple times throughout.) (Though I do understand that if they did acknowledge every puppeteer/actor/crew the Documentary would be super long. But I'd still watch the whole thing!!)
When I watched the Big Bird Documentary (YouTube), that was the only time I was Blindsided by Jim's death. The way the Documentary was edited made it come out of no where. Which made it hurt so much more. I also cried while watching this because it was filmed while Carol Spinney was alive, but I watched it in 2020, about a year after he passed away.

Here’s one of the pictures in the TVs. There are two versions of this, I just couldn’t decide if I wanted to give Gonzo a more irregular look or human.

I realized today was the 10th anniversary of The Muppets (2011)!
So I finally decided to post Camilla-Gonzo! I drew this a few months back. I first got the idea from a twitter post from Gonzo’s official page:
I thought this was the cutest picture and I decided to turn them into people. I already had the designs for them before I saw this picture, (see my post from a few months ago), and I was exited to draw them again!
This is obviously a reference to Wanda-Vision. I also LOVED that show!
Later I’ll post pictures of what’s in the TV’s!
Pt. 1 of this Gonzo and Camilla comic.
I got this idea from the running joke that Gonzo cannot tell the difference between the ‘Chickens.’ (I’m just calling the chorus line of dancers chickens.) And therefore He cannot tell which is Camilla, He just assumes the closest one to him is Camilla. To which she understandably gets annoyed.
Also I can’t be the only one who thinks its cute that he Canonically calls her ‘Camilla-Babe’ or ‘Chickie-Poo.’

This is what I imagine Gonzo and Camilla would look like as people.
I honestly loved their dynamic and story so I wanted to draw them.
(I actually do have a few other drawings of this pair!)
To answer your question now commenters: Why are they Caucasian?
That’s a simple answer, I based this off their puppeteers. Dave Goelz and Jerry Nelson.
But for Gonzo I couldn’t pick if I wanted to make him purplish-blue like the puppet or give him a natural skin color. So I decided to do one of each. You can pick which version you like more.

There are few things in this life that I love as much as the Muppets, Sesame Street being one of them because of the inclusion of Muppets and because of my childhood and also because have you guys read that Malcolm Gladwell piece on the importance of Sesame Street in literacy and scholastic apptitude? It's INCREDIBLE.
There are also few things in life that I love as much as Tom Hiddleston, and this short little video right here is about as much love for non-immediate family members that my heart can handle without bursting into sparkles and rainbows.
Some major points:
OF COURSE he's in perfectly tailored business casual wear to be on Seasame Street
Cookie Monster makes me honestly laugh with his comedic hijinks
Tom treating Cookie Monster like an adult really heightens the stakes in a good way
I'm taking "Delayed Gratification" to mean that "if me wait, me will eventually get Tom Hiddleston"
He's so charming, I die. I just die.
I can barely handle this, which concerns me for Tom's appearance in the forthcoming Muppet film.
