I decided to change some stuff from their first design, like changing their skin tone(MC was pale as hell before) and making their hair naturally curly instead of straight.
Small (?) mention of death below
MC is a character of mine I haven't thought about very much recently but they have such a cool story that could very much be explored.
For those not aware, MC is long dead in this drawing, having died in a post apocalyptic scenario and they looked ROUGH at their time of death.
The only reason they look somewhat cute here is because you can still change your appearance to a degree in the afterlife even if you keep any scars.
MC also uses any pronouns without a preference but that is not really connected to any gender, just a personal preference, so I only included the Ace flag :)
OC fun fact: MC actually had/still has an older brother named Robin who is still alive and is about 9 years older than them, so in his mid twenties. Robin is their adoptive brother.
OC not-so-fun fact: MC never really learned to read in any language. This was a problem in life and has continued on into their afterlife, but an effort is being made to try and teach them.
If enough people are interested (and probably even if you aren't) I'll post some more lore about them and such.

Hypatia!
Otherwise known as the twin sister of Polaris, she is way more energetic and extroverted than they are.
While hypatia has also inherited the dimension hopping abilities that Polaris has, she does not realise it yet, and because dimension hoppers are not allowed to tell any that they are dimension hoppers, she has to figure that out on her own.

Fun fact: members of polaris' and hypatia's species tend to have preferences on how they style their face fur, some like hypatia like to have it out of the way while others like Polaris prefer to have their fur covering their mouth.
This can be for many reasons, but Polaris has somewhat crooked teeth and is pretty insecure.

I've been trying to post a little more often, can you tell? At least I'm not going months without posting again because that made me feel shitty and means nobody sees my art anymore :/

Fun fact: the people of her village are well aware she murders people somewhat regularly, they don't really mind though because nobody likes the people she kills and the only other person people that she has killed is her Ex, Dolores and the girl she cheated on ivy with.
Amitiel (or Amity) but better and with less muddy colours and more accurate proportions.
I honestly cannot decide what style of clothing to put them in, if you have any suggestions please make them :)
Polaris!
I tried a different brush than usual and I really like it :)
Polaris and mittens actually came from the same character named (in the beginning) Mr. Mittens, mittens of course got the name and their colours and their godhood, while Polaris got primarily their appearance (but not colour) and personality, though they are now closer to just a dimension hopper and are functionally immortal even if their species already ages really slowly.
Their design is subject to change but I really like it at the moment.
Fun fact: Mittens and Polaris have met as a result of them both being able to move from dimension to dimension, Mittens then experienced a polaris-induced existential crisis upon learning that they are technically not real. Polaris came to terms with that fact a while ago.

Sorry I forgot to post anything I just completely forgot lol
I've been meaning to post some art or character lore (I've got quite a bit already!) But I just haven't had the motivation to even get onto Tumblr much recently.
Anyways, here: Mittens fullbody
I'm going to try and explain their lore as best I can but it might be a bit shit
So, mittens is a being known as a celestial, which is a god and all 1st gen celestials come from an entity/god known for short as The Mother which is like a god of the gods situation? Since every celestial is made by The Mother they are all siblings and directly related. The Mother made literally everything in this universe, so the big bang is directly caused by Zir. The Mother is incredibly proud of Zir creations, including all mortal creatures on the currently unnamed fantasy planet (mortal creatures include beings such as Satyrs, Elves, Shape shifters, and more!)
Mittens did not like these creatures and was essentially and actually grounded by The Mother.
"Grounding" for a celestial is basically being fully bound to a planet for an amount of time until the celestial learns their lesson. Grounding also removes or nullifies some of the celestials powers and makes them unable to shape shift. There are also other physical differences, for example Mittens small grounded form is 6'9 but their "full power" form would be about 9' and has an additional set of arms.
Mittens learnt their lesson after about five years and realised why The Mother loved them so much and stays around the villagers that helped them until the village is burned down in a war a couple hundred years later, And then they become a knight! And have the first and currently only portrait of a god painted. It is also around this time that Mittens starts to properly collect artifacts and literature among other things like clothes in order to try to preserve some history.
That's all I can be bothered writing right now, but if anyone's interested (which I doubt) I am definitely willing to post more lore even if it's not attached to art.

Some art i made during my hiatus!
Seen here are: Helian, Lee and Juniper along with Bo and two new ocs that are currently unnamed. My favorite out of the two of them is the sheep person, especially the full body one since i tend to mess up those kinds of legs.
I've also been doing a lot of expression practice because my characters are currently limited to like 2 or 3 facial expressions and i wanted my art to actually be more expressive :)

Random fun fact about new sheep friend: they are deathly afraid of humans, to the point of panic because in their world humans are the cryptids instead of fantasy creatures and actual cryptids, like slender man, there is an entire race of faceless people that all look really similar to slender man. If we aren't sure it lives in our world then it definitely lives on theirs, either as a resident or just a creature.
Sheep's phobia of humans is their worlds equivalent to being terrified by "fake" monsters and cryptids, it may be irrational but that doesn't make it go away.
Mila, Finley's past wild witch girlfriend.
Or at least what she looked like the last time Finley actually saw her, she's been "missing" for a while at this point, about 3 years and she was just about a year older than Finley was, so 17 when he was 16 (17 in this picture).
Before meeting her Finley was just doing illusions and healing, but after the two met he discovered their love for abomination magic and started to study it and showing way more talent in it than illusions and more power than healing, they and Mila often practiced in secret so Finley could be powerful enough so that when he asked his parents to switch to abomination track they would agree.
They did end up agreeing, but did also put way more pressure on them to join the emperor's coven because of his newfound skill in abomination magic, which made him incredibly stressed, and that stress being worsened when Mila stopped showing up or talking to them (this is when she was captured) but he couldn't express the extra stress from Mila's disappearance because he was not meant to associate or talk with Wild witches nevermind feel bad for them or DATE them, Mr. And Mrs. Ferox very much dislike wild magic and wild witches.
Mila did hide Finley's palisman when they started being more serious about joining the emperor's coven, And placed them in an area where they would definitely not be found, alongside her palisman shortly before her capture.
Mila Speculor, She/Her
Fun fact: Mila isn't actually that magically powerful and doesn't show weakness or excessive power in any areas, she's just average.
However she is (while informally) trained in physical fighting, like with swords, bows or even hand to hand combat, But prefers her palisman staff to any other weapon due to the twos bond.
She was trained almost entirely by other wild witches when she was younger, due to being orphaned and with no other family(suspected to be the work of the emperor's coven, but not confirmed) so she was taught everything by her adoptive older sister and around a dozen other witches, which includes school as she has been home schooled her entire life.
P.s. her name might have a clue as to her whereabouts
