Mewtwo meditating
A while back, @savethefrogs was having an art contest, and I wanted to enter something. I started on an idea and then, of course, the contest deadline passed me by, so the idea fell to the wayside. Today, I found the old .psd file and decided to finish up one of the sketches. Now I can say I finished a drawing today! :3 He’s got a sweater.
I’m working on this infographic about birth control for a personal project. I designed this little vulva lady as a character to guide the reader through the facts and data, and I’m really happy with how she turned out! I just… I’m so proud of her!
@pengintoppa I finished the thing! Here’s my drawing of characters that have influenced my development for your art project. I ended up over-working it and spending way too much time on it and I’m not happy with it and and and and and and and *stage hook* So, the characters I chose to draw are Kirby (sweet boy) from his various self-titled games and Ezio Auditore da Firenze from Assassin’s Creed: Revelations. Kirby has been a non-judgmental companion for me since I was a wee lass. I would be on the playground at school and pretend that he was at my side, whispering under my breath to talk to him. He would be there with me when felt I had no one else. In short, his friendship carried me through a lot of rough times. While I have had Kirby with me since I first started playing Kirby: Nightmare In Dreamland in elementary school, I didn’t “meet” Ezio until high school when I played the three Assassin’s Creed titles that follow his story. My mental relationship with this character is complex, but if I could summarize, I’d say that his own story of growth helped me come to some terms with my depression and personal identity. Thank you!
It’s Mias’s favorite fanart of him and Elle! (The Mias & Elle comic is awesome so if you don’t know about it, go take a gander!)
*giggleschnarf* This is what my sketchbook is full of. @miobuns can attest to this. Just cartoon dicks and such with faces. That’s all. Nothing else. Nothing.
I spent too long on this. But that’s ok, because IT’S A SHARK!
I met this lady hawk (haha) in Bend, Oregon at a raptor show! She and her comrades were all rescued birds of prey (and one scavenger, a turkey vulture) being rehabilitated at the High Desert Museum. We, the crowd, all sat quietly on the ground as, one at a time, birds like the barn owl, the Harris’s hawk, the turkey vulture, and the peregrine falcon flew around the air above us. The peregrine falcon was especially fantastic, as we could feel the air whoosh as she flew by! This particular girl, a red-tailed hawk, did not participate in the demonstration because she had yet more training to go through.
Who’s that blur? Why it’s mom! Or dad. What’s important is that they have food. These babies and their parent were very shy with me photographing them, so to put them at ease, I hid in the bushes and set my camera up with a remote trigger on a tripod. This picture was the result!
Claremont, CA has an environmental policy stating that whenever a tree is removed, another must be planted at least somewhere in the city. That way the net tree loss is always zero! And and and they prefer that the new tree be one native to southern California, like a live oak or a sycamore. Isn’t that lovely?
Ooooooooooooooh my. Look at who is handsome!
I was sorting through my hard drive of old photos when I came across these fashionable shots of the lord of all the kitchen - forever may his memory reign - Pancho.
The guinea. The pig. The legend.
Mimi, come inside, won’t you? I took this photo with my phone, gosh I did! I normally don’t try to take “artsy” photos with my phone because of the lack of image quality. Koalaty. But darn it if this little snap didn’t come out neat. I like the lines and the framing. And the cat.
In college, I made this shark plush. He is 6 feet long and weighs 10 pounds, and his name is Tiny.
Tiny “Squiggles” McGee!
I was going for a walk when I saw these two traffic cones sitting together. They seemed like buddies to me, little bastions of brightness on a cloudy day. I’m glad I got to photograph them!
Here’s an oldy for ya, again of Stanya. I took this back in 2013! Golly she sure was a skinny slinky cat back then. Look at that face! Meow
Oh ishdee Stahn! That’s how I greet my putty tat every time I see her. This is Stanya, one of two (TWO) kitties at my mom’s house. I think I’ve submitted another picture here of the other of the two, Mimi. Mimi and Stahn. I took this shot aaaall the way back in 2011, can you believe that? This is a B&W photo - complete with dark room development and everything! I was rummaging through my old photos from a photography class and I found this little ditty. I felt wishtee-Stahn looked so lovely in this picture that I thought I would upload it here for y’all to inspect.
Kiki, my dog. A puppy. Enjoy her cuteness. But don’t get too close! She’s a cutie patoot!
Sad hen is sad. I felt sad again today, so I decided to draw this and ended up cheered! Poor chicken :(
OK I’m working on things but for now, here’s a photo from my old AP portfolio. THIS PHOTO HELPED GET ME A “5” SO YOU BETTER ENJOY IT. Thank you kindly.
Twiga is swahili for giraffe. He’s watching. You. And I’m watching him. Whom are you watching?
Who are you? I know… who are you? I am me. A giraffe. Oh, that’s nice.
Herding wildebeest! Merr. Merr. Merr. Merr. That’s the sound they make. You can imitate it and thus have a conversation with the creatures. Merr. Merr. Merr.
OOOOOOOOOO it’s a butt. Please enjoy this fella, for they are very pretty and they know it! :D
The Hartebeest is watching. Are you watching? Please enjoy or else.
Please enjoy this curly tail. But apparently chameleons can bite (hard) so enjoy from a distance.
Well here’s a fox photo. This is the last in the set of three back-lit nightlight photos (that includes this, the dinosaur one, and the little pots one).
