Honest thoughts on Lonnie +family?
I think that it was an amazing concept. Something that wasn’t awesome was the execution of it. I love Lonnie’s character in the first and even the second movie. However I feel that it wasn’t very well written. I can not talk about her sibling(s?) because I have not read the books but if I go off of what I’ve seen on Tumblr, it sucks. I feel like they could’ve used her for so many things, but in the end they only erase her for existence with no sign of acknowledgment about her in the third movie. It doesn’t help that we never get to even see her parents and barely hear her talk about them. Despite the fact that being the daughter of Milan and Shang (who is never acknowledged in the movies) is unfortunate. It truly sad that they didn’t do a better job of executing her character design. Even fan fiction stories don’t see as much more than a love interest for Jay or a background character to add dialogue. Now that is no disrespect to the authors, but it was merely an observation that I have made.
Also, why everybody hate that he pulled out a gun in the battle?! Like; Are we gonna forget the time Steve Rogers put 4 granadesinto a tank and let it explode (also w people inside)? Yeah yeah yeah, i know trhat they were nazis blah blah blah, but what about Black Widow? She also shooted and killed people w guns, and sometimes it wasn’t always only the “bad ones. But when John do, it’s bad, and When Steve kill the person, it’s allright? Like why? Bc he (Steve) is sexier or what???
There is SO MANY another reasons, some of them also makes sense, but no, we will hate him forsomething stupid like THIS!
this is the reason why people think fandoms are stupid. Hey! U can hate whoever u want (from the characters, not from the actors ofc) but please, please, PLEASE be fair when u are doing.
This fandom is so f-ing hypocrite. Just gross. Avengers kill people, y'all cheer and John kills the murderer who killed his best friend suddenly he's a bad guy. Go screw yourself!
I’m never. never. NEVER. N-E-V-E-R angry at the actors.
Yeah, maybe I’m angry at the directors for that they made absolutely shitty movie/ending (ehm ehm russos), yeah, maybe I’m angry at the screenwriters for that they wrote that bullshit, and time to time I’m angry at the character itself, because let’s be honest, they sometimes just DO some stupid things. And that’s a fact.
But I’m never. Nevere never never never never angry at the actors. They didn’t wrote their characters. They can’t change anything. They are just trying they best to do their WORK. And they aren’t their characters (well, with RDJ it’s a little bit more comlicated, but you understand what I want to say). The thing is - actors are just doing their WORK. And if we are angry at the character, love it, hate it or somethnig else, I thnik that doesn’t mean nothing but they are doing their work really good. But it doesn’t giving us the right to be angry at the actors for some stupid shit that character did.
Thank you.
well, i mean... If FANDOMS aren’t for discussing individual scenes over and over, making edits, ships, fanarts, cry over and over still for the same scenes or just talking ‘bout your feelings for some character/movie/company/etc... for what are then fandoms? ‘:D
Hello! As you may have guessed, this post will be about Sharon Carter and my opinion on her.
For the first, I want one thing to be clue - I like her. Really! She is a strong female character, an agent (which is supercool), she is propably really good at her work and she is a loyal friend. But here we go:
I don’t like her and Steve Rogers’ kiss. Nonono, listen here; I’m not angry at her, or on a Steve, I’m angry at that kiss itself. An that’s because:
I tought she is for Steve something like Natasha. A strong and loyal female friend who will punch in the face people you don’t like and she’s still here when you need to talk about things (no matter if they are crazy or serious, she will be there and help you if she can). But still - just as friends! (that’s not #friendzone , I just like to ship #stucky ). Which is I think wonderful status for character, so… Why didn’t MARVEL just let her stay that way?
Steve has a love interest! In cannon, he is with Peggy, and their love is presented as the most romantical ship (they are still in love for each other for more that 70 years being separated, if that isn’t romantical, then I don’t know what is), but in spite of that, Steve kissed another girl like… 5 minutes after his first love’s funeral?! That’s not romantic at all!!! (and also it’s not very respectfull for Peggy) 😡😤😟
She is his niece! Yeah, i know that technically she doesn’t have his DNA or something, but still… I’s weird as hell!
It makes her just another sexualized object in the movie (and social media too)! I think that it’s brutally unfair for Sharon, who is also really good agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. and loyal hardworking friend and employee, to be seen like ,,villain” or ,,that girl who wants to ruin our beautiful ship (stucky).” I mean - instead of to be seen as ,,a girl who in Civil War helped to Captain America and his friends” (which will be super-feministic because girl hepled to the boys out of trouble, which is exactly that how feminism works), she is seen just as a ,,girl who in Civil War kissed Captain America.” And not just in the MARVEL, but also in eyes of fans. And that’s may the saddest thing here.
Why? Why she even kissed him? And if that just must happend, why it was meant as a romantical kiss? Really there isn’t any other way how to thank to the woman in movie than kiss? No really, I think that hug will be more than enough (and also cuter), and nobody would prostest, because that movie will without that kiss work still as good as with it. It’s important scene and we don’t need that to happen to understand some future situations. So again - WHY?!?
So, here it is. Ufff, I just needed to write that out. My view is that:
I like Sharon Carter. But not as Steve Rogers’ girlfriend.
