K, so, originally this was gonna be a color pallet challenge, but i thought it ended up looking strange, and just dark overall. so I mixed it with the flats for the final. I still have it though so there’s also that

I was just gonna add this reblog style under that post, but tumblr wouldn’t allow me to do that …so here we are

now it's 7 frames instead of 4 😧, also fixed Cross’s arms a bit so they don’t look like they are elongating nearly as badly (I believe they still slightly look like that, but oh well, I tried)

Headcanon that, when nightmare does something affectionate, he sorta just does it impulsively without letting the receiver know what he’s gonna do.

Tryin somethin sorta new, went a little less cartoony then I usually do, decided to practice crosshatching and lighting

I don’t usually draw Nightmare in hoodies, but I feel like he’d def be the type to wear one in bed. And (personal hc) I like to think he uses pet names when attempting to comfort, plus the thought of him calling Cross “sweetboy” was very cute, so yeah.

For the first one I completely forgot that he bleeds purple, so yeah, remembered by the time I got to the second one tho 💀

So this comes off of a hc for nightmare that I have where the more pissed off he gets, the more nightmarish he begins to look. In the first image he’s more normal looking bc he’s focusing his attention on Cross and in the second he’s pissed, but still holding back cause he’s more worried, but they’ll probably regret doing that later.

I like how the colors turned out, but they’re a bit dark

This background choice was sorta random, bc I couldn’t think of one for a long time, but I think it turned out ok.
