small life update;
i got the position i interviewed for! i am now front end manager and i’m so happy. being so young in a business full of experience people was very daunting at first, but they make me feel heard and they appreciate my abilities. im one step closer to being able to support myself without my family (super grateful for that don’t get me wrong)
life update;
things have been complicated lately. me not knowing where i’m going to live, unexpected expenses that drained my savings, and lots of self reflection. but i feel like things are falling into place. i interviewed for a manager position at my store and i think i got the job on lock. i’ve been working the position for the past couple weeks, now i’m just waiting for the official title and pay. my savings is slowly growing. and i’ve fallen in love with the sims again. i’m struggling with finding a style that works with me, or even figuring out what to post. but i’m just having fun. maybe i can fulfill my dream of making youtube content :)

last show: my partner has introduced me to ‘girlmore girls’ and i’ve been obsessed ever since. already on season 3, can’t wait to finish it!
currently watching/listening: kali uchis’ ‘sin miedo’ album is a constant replay for me, i always imagine this story when listening to it and it makes me happy. i am planning on watching ‘adventure time’ because it was a childhood show for me but i never got to watch it through
currently reading: just finished ‘the rise of kyoshi’ and now onto ‘the shadow of kyoshi’, ‘the dawn of yangchen’ just got put on shelves today so of course i bought it! if you’re a fan of the atla universe i recommend it!
current obsession: simblr! i used to have a blog back in 2016 and was relatively “popular” ~yuck~ and i’m finding my love in the community all over again!

Can you get a job with just html, css and Java? Basically just as a front end developer ? With square space, Shopify, and WordPress does this take away a lot of need for front end developers?
Also with ai becoming more prominent is it "useless" to just have front end experience and are more companies wanting more people with back end experience?

It’s one thing to charge people for stupid shitposts, but Tumblr knows that gifs are one of their major attractions, they have a search feature specifically for it! How in the absolute fuck do you not see that letting people charge for the most popular posts–many of which are going to be, for example, gifs of Disney movies–is a one way ticket to the Mouse bringing out the lawsuit hammer en masse? And that it is entirely possible that it wouldn’t just be the Post Plus users, but that the entire site would be under fire for using a site that charges money to use their movies without paying any royalties or getting permission for it? Literally, how do you not see that as a nightmare that you’re bringing on yourself, tumblr?
