Jay's still a pro at video games I see and Lloyd looks so happy to be there. Maybe he's not going to outlive his friends after all.

I know this most likely isn't cannon, but it's so cute I want to remember it.

We didn't get many Lloyd and Nya moments this season, but in the few seconds of screentime they shared the writers made sure to remind us that these two are absolute besties.

German isn't my main language but when I was a kid I used to watch lots of cartoons in German. I think my parents wanted me to learn the language. It was actually the first language in which I ever watched Ninjago, but I haven't done that in over a decade.

Luckily I still understand about 75% of it so I can watch the new episodes early, but that's not what I wanted to say. They kept the same voices, man! 😭 It's been ten years and they sound the same. When I heard Kai and Nya speak I felt like sobbing. Oh, how I missed them and I didn't even know. This is what they sounded like when I first met and fell in love with these characters. I've been following their adventures in English all those years, but hearing them in German again felt like meeting an old friend.

Also, German Sora, Arin and Wyldfyre are perfect and incredibly spot on.

One of my favorite headcanons is that in the 5 or so years Lloyd lived alone at the Monastery waiting for the others to return, wondering if they were even still alive, he took turns sleeping in each of their rooms to feel closer to them. Maybe he could still feel their scent in the bedding or he fell asleep cuddling Mr Cuddlywomp.

But he would be super careful to keep everything exactly how they left it, including the soda cans and pizza boxes littering the floor, because he couldn't bring himself to throw away anything that belonged to them.

Would anyone be interested in a Ninjago fic featuring this trio before Morro makes an official return in Dragons Rising?

After Nya's sacrifice to save Ninjago, Lloyd quits being a ninja. That is until Misako discovers a legend of an ancient temple that used to power up the previous Water and Wind Masters.

Now Lloyd embarks on a journey to bring Nya back. There's just one problem. They're going to need the help of a certain spiteful ghost who isn't any happier about this than they are.

I think the ultimate RGB siblings angst AU is one where Nya stayed with the ocean and Lloyd ended up outliving all the others thanks to his oni/dragon heritage. Zane might turn off his memories again, or maybe his life force isn't permanent either, or idk. The point is, Lloyd is left on his own, and centuries of grief later he makes a desperate attempt to reconnect with Nya. Lloyd tries to restore her memories, telling her about Kai and the others, only to realize he doesn't remember them very well either. Their faces have now become a blur in his mind.

Lloyd and Nya bond, starting from scratch, and they slowly remember each other, then they start having distant memories about their lives on the Bounty with the original four and Master Wu.

At this point in time, most of Ninjago forgot their names and only remember them as old and vague legendary figures. After losing his friends, Lloyd finally embraced his oni form as a way to distance himself from the rest of Ninjago. Nya had also become wilder after living for so long as a giant water dragon. They're all alone in the world now, and they only have each other or what's left of them and who they used to be.

I remember even as an early teen I always appreciated the Cole and Nya scene from Possession. This was during the love triangle drama, right after Cole and Jay reconciled and before Jaya became official. So it was a pretty big deal, but it never felt like bait for more shipping discourse, just a very genuine, intimate moment between friends.

Cole was being vulnerable and depressed and Nya just wanted to cheer her friend up. She could relate with not having a say in her destiny as a water ninja, embracing an uncertain future. It had nothing to do with Jay or their relationship status. There was no tension. At no point did I think they were teasing NyaXCole, because there was absolutely zero awkwardness between them, it was a completely separate thing. Because before the whole Rebooted drama, Nya and Cole were good friends too, just like Jay and Cole, and I was so happy the writers didn't forget that.

I know Vincent Tong's got plenty of others, but Sandbar is by far my favorite, although he low-key reminds me of Lloyd 🤔

I'm so tired of people implying Nya's character is dependent on Jay's, when literally every single Jay arc revolves around Nya. Like have we even watched the same show?

Jay's true potential? Being himself around Nya. Jay's fight with Cole? Only because Nya suddenly has a thing for Cole. Skybound? Do I even need to say it? Prime Empire? Losing Nya is what motivates him during the final level because Jay can apparently only shine on his own when all the other ninja are eliminated in some way and he's the last one standing. His whole personality in the movie is shy and awkward with a crush on Nya.

Meanwhile Nya built a name for herself as Samurai X when she was a young teen because she was tired of being overlooked and stuck in her brother's shadow. Her interest in Cole might have been a little forced, but at least it proves she's open to alternatives, Jay is not. Possession is Nya being a perfectionist and embracing her flaws and overcoming the fear of failure in order to unlock her true potential and become the Water Ninja. Skybound is Nya trying to find her place in the team and dealing with gross misogyny. Hands of Times is Nya passing down her samurai armor. In Hunted her mission is to protect Lloyd and keep their hope alive. Seabound is about Nya's mommy issues, going with the flow, accepting the ups and downs of life and the importance of self sacrifice. Jay is only one of the people she sacrifices herself for. Then that one floating lantern message from one of the citizens of Ninjago: I'm suRe JAy mISsEs yOU a loT. Yeah, right. Jay and only Jay. Because Nya is all about Jay in their heads just like some of the fans apparently. Movie Nya is a badass motorbiker who looks up to the Lady Iron Dragon and doesn't even acknowledge Jay.

Not to throw shade on any Jay fans, I just wanted to point out how Nya is normally the more independent of the two, has more character development and protagonist energy. I'm so tired of her character being reduced to being Jay's girlfriend, Kai's little sister or heck even Lloyd's older sister, and I'm one of the biggest dragon siblings fan there is. Nya deserves better, so much better than this.

Everyone here concerned about the ninjas' race misrepresentation, which, fair, but if they cast some petite little girl with noodle arms to play Nya and all the guys look like bulky, T addicts giants compared to her (like in that weird Anime episode) I'm not touching this thing with a ten feet stick
