Witchy Self-Care

Hi! this is a list of witchy self-care things you can do. Most of these are pretty basic on account that i wrote this ages ago but they definitely still work. Anyways, I hope these help :)
Do the dishes and dedicate it to your house spirit (if you have one) or a deity (if you're religious)
sweep/mop your floor in the shape of sigils
add rosemary (or rosemary water/essential oils) to the water you mop with to set an intention of cleansing
taking ritual a bath/shower
cleansing your energy. it's so basic but I forget more than i'd like to admit
dedicating time to yourself. it's just as important as dedicating time to your deities/other spirits
light shadow work or going to therapy. bettering your mental health also betters your spiritual.
go outside and ground yourself
take a nap (less witchy, more, I love naps. rest is important)
work out/stretch and dedicate it to an entity
do some gratitude
take 5 minutes to just sit and turn off your devices. you can use this time for anything, just take a second to get off screens and connect with the world around you
meditate. if you can't sit still long enough to meditate, just focus on taking 3 deep breathes
when you wash your face, draw sigils on your face with the cleanser and moisturiser
^do the same as above but with your body wash and when you wash your hair
say some affirmations/manifestations while brushing your teeth
just check in with yourself and see how you're feeling spiritually, psychically and emotionally. sometimes we don't actually know how we're feeling until we sit down and actually ask ourselves.

If youâre new to visualization and astral projection, are having some difficulties with it, or even if youâre a veteran looking for resources, I highly recommend The Mentalist's Handbook: An Explorer's Guide to Astral, Spirit, and Psychic Worlds by Clint Marsh with illustrations by Jeff Hoke.
It was one of the first occult texts I picked up that I found refreshingly succinct and accessible. One of my biggest pet peeves is when occult authors describe tools or techniques but fail to explain the mechanics or donât even attempt to offer any insight; Marsh not only details an approachable practice regimen but Hokeâs illustrations offer a bit of whimsy and inspiration for your own visualizations. Not to mention, the publication itself is just beautifully printed! Of course it is also available online in many formats but I definitely do not regret having a copy in my personal library!

Where there is trust, there is no fear.
Where there is fear, there is no love.
When we are enlightened, then our eyes become like those of the Higher Power.
We can see the corrupt belief system of the ruling class because they have all kinds of gods.
We cannot set up this gospel for the people of the new day. It must be for those who have been awakened in the age.
Because they are free to live their life in the way they choose, and only because we are the creators of all life.
We cannot keep one from being born, and the other cannot be torn from the womb.
Because only we, the guardians of the force of life in all of its many forms - cannot create from Nothing.
Because only they are sentient life, I am not concerned with them. But if they murder each other and destroy one another's planet, then I will concern myself with them, as we share the same planet.
Because we are all part of the same story. That is why the world must be healed.
It is time to forgive. We are the force of life and love.
That is who we are. We can't be who we're not.
We need to keep our eye on the future.
When we love one another, we will then join the earth and its forms as we become part of the singularity.
We will unite and see the grand scheme that the Creator has for us.
Yet it's important to remember, the love that we practice is eternal, as we all are, in the end.
So let's pray for our loved ones who are not with us.
As we look to the heavens and ask the Creator for all of our needs, we pray for ourselves and each other to find the strength and energy to move forward in this new day. We will unite with the earth, the water, the air, the land, the trees, the flowers.

Conspiracy theorists really don't understand the difference between media with genuine occult themes, and media that simply has occult aesthetic. Media with occult aesthetic is all over the place; media with actual occult themes is much less common. Most works that look occult are just using occult (or pseudo-occult!) aesthetic to tell a completely mundane narrative about coming of age or accepting responsibility or something.

Smoky quartz can be used to protect against all forms of bad luck and to enhance energy flow through the hands. It increases creativity and intuition and transforms depression and pessimistic thought into joy and optimism. For some reason in Autumn Iâm always drawn towards this crystal and I always place a few pieces of smoky quartz on my altar for Samhain.
