Coffee and books

This is what I have to go through... On my way home (yes; home!) from a café or bar to my hotel at night. And it will be cool then, only about 20 degrees celsius. At daytime, the shadows in this little parque are much appreciated; today around 30 degrees... BUT who gives a damn about the weather! Like talking about it... Yeah right... So: An "old" mobile-cam like the one in my Xperia Z5 Compact, actually makes better pictures than the (small but new) 'real' digital camera. Like the lights/shadows in this photo. Back to my troubles: This is what I have to put up with after an evening out in Castelo de Vide. A small town; population 3.500... What would "a night out" in a danish town with under 4.000 inhabitants be like? I don't wonder; I know... So why the difference? In favor of Castelo de Vide, obviously. Cultural totally other way of living. Here is actually LIFE! Also at night. "Because of the climate", some say. Well, in winter here it is (very) cold and (very) wet! I do know... I simply don't buy that 'climate-thing'. But back to my troubles... And my hotel, eventually. Then I'm supposed to write! When I can sit on my balcony, and look at the lights on the opposite small mountain, the valley, the town... And breathe that air. And... Oh, I do REALLY have a hard time... Right? No?!?! Well... #castelodevide #jardim #nightlights #night #park #paradise #streaks #nightout #culturaldifferences #portugueseculture #wayoflife #whyiloveportugal #laurieandthestoryof (It IS still there, somewhere...) #andtheniamsupposedtogotomyhotelandactuallydosomewritingwheniamalmosttoohappyafteranightoutincastelodevideanditspeople (Usual one-off hashtag...) #udenfilter (none whatsoever!) #mantelmomento #danielmantel (her: Castelo de Vide)
A throwback to last summer, when I went to Greenwich park
I feel like I didn't take enough pictures lol. it was such a gloomy and rainy day, but still so fun. nothing like staring up at the trees in awe. I love trees.
LOLITA
Would you be mine?
Would you be my baby tonight?
Could be kissing my fruit punch lips in the bright sunshine.
Cause i like you quite a lot, everything you got, don't you know?
It's you that i adore, though i make the boys fall like dominoes.
Kiss me in the d-a-r-k dark tonight. D-a-r-k do it ma way.
Kiss me in the p-a-r-k park tonight. P-a-r-k let them all say.
Il bianco e il nero sono i colori della fotografia.
Per me simboleggiano le alternative di speranza e disperazione a cui l’umanità è sempre soggetta.

Here’s one of my school projects! We had to make a UPA-style theater set of a series/movie. I took Mary Poppins :)
I really don’t have the time to work on personnal stuff, sadly, so I’ll try to post my most interesting school projects once in a while.
I wonder who used to come here before, talked about things we'll never know.

Seeing the kids enjoying their time at the park gave warmth in my heart 💕
The small town of Pouancé is on a remarkable geographical "quadruple point", on the border of four départements! A peculiarity that dates back to the Middle Ages, when it was on the battlefront between France-affiliated Anjou and the still fiercely independent Duchy of Brittany. As such, Pouancé had a castle; its Breton counterpart was at Châteaubriant, and both towns were besieged at some point during the 15th century.
With a friend from Châteaubriant, we got to witness barriers being removed as what we guessed were maintenance or renovation works on the path around the castle were finished. The castle itself only opens during the summer, but at least we got to walk all around and get some good views of the castle, through the neighbouring park.
If you're driving into Pouancé from the West, this is how you know you've arrived:
This bridge is not particularly big or special, but it cost YES Marks in the early 1920s, as post-WWI Germany went through a phase of hyperinflation.

Sabéis de donde salen estas preciosas ocas? Son un detalle de una de las ilustraciones del calendario Montessori de este año! Os atrevéis a adivinar a qué mes pertenecen? Do you know where these beautiful geese come from? They’re part of one of this year's Montessori calendar illustrations! Do you dare to guess which month they belong to? A hint: it's not the month we're in right now. You already know how much I love to draw little animals and especially if they’re as cute as these geese! When I think about geese I always remember when I was little, there were some of them in the park next to my school, although those weren’t very nice, if you got too close, they would chase you screaming with their heads held high!🌱
