Happy Passover to all my fellow Jews. May your holiday be peaceful and meaningful. I hope you got rid of your chametz at a non-stressful time.

Dear god, today I got a notification from tumblr that this blog is two years old…

That just feels so wrong. Maybe because I only started being on here regularly in mid November of last year (I got pulled in by wanting to know peoples thoughts on the new MCR stuff, shout-out to all those fuckers, now I’m addicted to this app) and only made my first reblog a little over a year ago. That’s not even accounting for how recent my first original post is.

But uhhhhh yeah the passage of time is freaky. May this blog last many years more and to anyone reading this, check me out on ao3; a single kudos can change a life and I desperately need inspiration to pick my longfic back up.

Happy most of the way through Passover to those who celebrate and keep trucking transgenders! Remember that the song of hope never stops singing, even if you can’t hear the tune!

a simple reminder to all during these difficult times:

jewish is not synonymous with zionist!

i am jewish and i in no way shape or form support the genocide in gaza. from the river to the sea, palestine will be free!!!

blessed passover to all who celebrate :)

In the spirit of this holiday (it's Passover rn) I have a question for queer people of different cultures/ religions/ groups around the world.

Do your culture/ religion have specific traditions/ customs for LGBTQ people?

There's a relatively new Jewish tradition in Passover of including an orange on the Sedder plate to represent and support LGBTQ people.

It got me thinking if other cultures have things like that as well.

Do you have any specific traditions/ slangs/ symbols in your culture to represent queer people?

I couldn't find enough information online so I would love to hear from you about your diffrent cultures!

You're welcome to leave a comment here/ reblog/ leave a message in the asks box anyway is fine! Even just sending a link to an article would be appreciated.

Is Bemular Jewish? I don't know, you tell me. Maybe Bemular is the friends we made along the way.

i didnt forget to update earlier, what are you talking about-

SUCCESS idk how i pulled that off but my first ever pesakh with two seders has indeed happened!! nothing caught fire either b"h

i am gonna *try* to do a solo seder for the first night of pesakh, since i go to my family's on the second night. . . wish me luck!! i definitely procrastinated too close to the sun and am panicking but i think that is a fairly common jewish experience lmao

hopefully i dont burn the house down trying to figure out a pre-existing flame for chag pesakh candles!
