i don’t think any of you understand. the impetus, the fucking click behind scythebelts for me, is not strictly romantic. it is that sylnan, his entire life, has been trying to hold on to everything he can and he never gets to. and velrisa, god fucking bless her, has been waiting for someone to hold on to her like that, like nobody really has.
the impetus, the fucking spark, the starting point for everything i write for them, is based upon the gutsense fucking horror of seeing someone reach for you and not knowing if they mean to catch you for certain or just until you’re not useful.
everything else is just fluff and filler. the cleric/rogue dramatics, the high contrast, the jokes, the mutual admiration, the aesthetics- all of it is fluff and filler. good, but just not why i love it.
at core and center, they are holding on to each other until they are bleeding from the goddamn fingernails because nothing else is willing to stay as static and calm as they are. nobody else- not as though it is a personal failing on anyone else’s part, it is simply the way things go- is willing to cling on as hard for some chance at steady ground. sylnan and vel are. that’s what makes me write em.

Hey geologists I need a bit of help with my worldbuilding.
So I'm adding dwarves to my setting but not your typical short stubby fleshy dudes. But rather short stubby rocky dudes. There are three types of dwarves upper crust, mid crust, and lower crust. They grow at different levels in the earth's crust and are made out of different rocks depending on what's available at that level. Like if they're closer to the surface they're made out of rocks and gems and such that naturally grow at that level.
Small issue though I have no idea what grows- forms? At those different levels farther or closer to the surface and I also don't know in what amounts. What's rare and what's common? I imagine diamonds don't grow in the same place as amethyst.
If you guys could help me out it would be much appreciated!
P.s. I did try googling it first but I couldn't find anything.
P.p.s. a visual representation like a rock map or something would be nice but is not required.
P.p.p.s. please don't be mean to me I'm not an expert on rocks I don't know exactly what to search for which is why I'm asking for help.

So, I’ve gotten really into Linked Universe (which is funny cause i’ve never once consumed any of the actual medias) and while reading fanfic I found out that apparently Legend has a suit that turns him into a mermaid? So I ran with it.

I don’t read self-insert fanfiction a lot, but i still do it occasionally, and something that i’ve noticed is that a lot of the Haikyuu si fanfics where the si character is female, they’ll pretend to be male to enter a specific team, which never made much sense.
Usually if there is male’s team for a sport there’ll be female team as well. We once met a character, early in, who happens to be in Daichi’s class and is also part of the girl’s volleyball team. If you really want your character to partake in the volleyball life-style, make them part of the girl’s team. Just because they don’t show up doesn’t mean that they don’t exist. Hell, since they don’t show up you can take as much free liberty as you want. Create the team, their dynamics, you can even go the AFTG route and make them mafia-kids-run aways. No one is stopping you.
Here’s some other ways to make them close now that they’re not in the same team or if you don’t want to write your character to be athletic:
•Team manager (like 90% of the girls in the show)
•Classmates
•Childhood friends
•Live near each other
•Family member of a specific character that visits that character a lot in practice, making them close with the rest of the team
•Teacher at the school (in case you wanna ship them with an older character, I don’t condone pedo behavior)
•If char. has an after school job, the team could visit it a lot
•Tutor/getting tutored
Stop making your female characters hide the fact that they have tits so that they can screw your favorite character, realistically that wouldn’t fly.

Think about it like OH MY GOOOOD its so perfect???? Clark grew up in Kansas you know when hes relaxed hes got a southern accent and Kon lived on the farm for ages. He'd have the accent and then the sexy ass cowboy hat and the confident attitude he already has !!! And, idk, you could go real hallmark with it and say that Tim has gone to the country side to relax from work or hes there to buy land and then realizes how bad it would be - i dont know, i dont care. I need a fic where Kon is dancing in a hodown (i have no idea how to spell that) and Tim is like smiling and laughing and then Kon teaches him how and Kon takes him on the farm and they ride horses or smt. Think about the tension. The jokes. The way their dynamic wouldnt really change from canon; Kon the confident, coy and loud one whith Tim the fussy, snarky and lowkey kinda spoiled one. Im talking like Hannah Montana the Movie vibes. Im talking Footlose happiness levels. Minimal angst. Or you could go real old school cowboys with Kon as a rogue cowboy and Tim as a sheriff/deputy. Please give me a country fic of these boys. Its so perfect
