after a few years, I've finally updated the Escape Velocity crew's reference sheets ^_^ they feel much more real now.... possibly too real. I feel like domino is going to appear in my house and start asking me to buy beer

sometimes I feel a little discouraged about how long I've spent developing these characters without any comic pages to show for it, but I think in the end the extra time was really needed, and I'm really happy with how the crew look now :J and hopefully I can stop myself from making any more major changes.

FINALLY got around to those palette challenges people sent a while ago. I'll be honest I cheated on most of these because I only see palettes as a guideline rather than a strict set of rules... for the most part it worked out though.

alright so this was a somewhat indulgent one I admit but I've always really liked 1. viewing stories through a transgender lens and 2. the idea that fiddleford was the one who gave ford his iconic coat, which makes it particularly sweet (and agonizing) to think about him wearing it for 30+ years... and uh, hopefully washing it once in a while

Redraw of an OC piece I did a whole century ago! (in 2019)

giving some context because I never do that for EV stuff: Gills was picked out of a handful of parentless ambymander kids in southern Kaalera for the ATLAS program, which is supposed to fast-track you into a STEM job for Somapex by shipping you to school off-planet. (Supposedly better than the alternative... according to them) Many of his fellow students went on to spread the word that the library was haunted most nights by the spectre of a six foot tall 15 year old with scary glow in the dark eyes.

anyway, here’s a thing I’ve been working on for a while. This was originally supposed to be for the show’s 10th anniversary back in June, but I definitely didn’t anticipate how long it’d take and had to push it back to the end of August. It feels like an appropriate way to send off the summer :]
