Finally got back into digital art and I had to do a drawing of this AU, you clearly love rebel Quasar as much as I do >:))

I'd like to think that in this universe Quasar actually has his shit together when he first met Leyc so it's just cavity inducingly cute form the start

I've been obsessed with acnh recently so what's a a better character study than trying to make you characters fit another universes rules

You can see that unfortunately my pen leaked when colouring Korar :(( just imagine him with his beautiful blue eyes

Leyc Gooran: half clone and a war vet

BD-droid "Bucket": Quasar's explorer droid from the rebublic era

(Pantoran/Mikkian) Zim Kilan: Quasar's deceased padawan

Gurmenas: imperial siding mercenary and kinda Leyc's ex

Mi'var: A mercenary/guild leader and an old fling of Quasar's, they've remained as friends

Dead Zone Platoon: including lieutenant Phoenix, Sargent Gear, Kelp, Anch (medic), Wreck, Dush and Omen. All apart of Quasar's jedi era Platoon. Aid and Hazard are characters of a friend of mine who doesn't have tumblr, but since they're apart of the Platoon during the clone wars they're also included in my drawings

The two mandos: Orange is Tranyc or Ra and green/black is Korar, they're @keep-the-socks-on-karta's characters, I just think they're neat so I draw them :D

Now before you get mad at me, pick just one, I'm just giving you more options to choose from >:) (I couldn't pick which I'd like more lmao)

Anyway, Quasar is more calm and collected, a tad bit too reserved if you ask me but he can be fun and slightly obnoxious if he's comfortable being around you. Get ready for a lot of sarcasm. I'd say his style is reserved elegant if he could choose what to wear without a worry if it is practical or not

Leyc, chaotic with a thing for violence. He grew up too fast as most people say so he's trying to get the most fun out of life now, he might also be ignoring his problems on purpose but don't mention that to him. He is at the end of the day kind at heart, even if his form of kindness might not match yours. That man will wear what ever as long as it is comfortable, he's also an avid fan of desiding that shirts are the enemy of the people and takes them off

If you need to make Quasar more humanoid I've been imagining him as like a desently dark skinned black man with braids :)

Of course I have to pick Quasar, he's my poster child. Honestly, it's been so long so it's a little hard to remember what exactly inspired him, I think it was a mix of Ashoka and other Sw ocs I was seeing on Pinterest

I probably should rather use my time to make smaller but more frequent drawings, but I couldn't resist the temptation after this idea popped into my head

Shouldn't have said you can draw him with other ocs >:)

Also would totally be in line with the canon after Korar and Tranyc leave to join back with their covert. Quasar and Leyc are familiar with basic mandalorian customs and know most if not all of them are very loyal by nature or pay

Leyc also gets to ask for more mando cursewords, which is always a bonus for him

There's also Bucket, are you telling me that someone who loves droids would say no to a BD unit

And a version without the shading because god damn it I like it without it as well

I've been thinking of a modern au for my Sw ocs

Korar and Tranyc are easier since it's easy to make the creed the equivalent of a biker gang for like, orphans

Leyc's still a war vet as Quasar would be, but then what the hell would the jedi be

Are they hippies? A secret agency? Some damn cult? I'd say yes to all of the above but I don't think that could work

Also buckets now a dog, he looks like a puppy but is very old

And Edee just becomes a normal cat, still just as murderous as she is as a tooka, because no species change could take that away

I've been struggling with art block, and bad.

Tried to draw em, but man it took effort

Anyway they have anything but coffee or tea in those mugs, my bets some sort of alcoholic beverage

Quasar probably has some soda and gin mix, while Leyc drinks something Quasar has dubbed "Jet fuel" from the smell alone

And we're back to our usual consepting grind :D

Here we have (finally run over with a starship) Guru's scars :D yes they're very pale, it is because he's attempted to get cosmetic tattooing done over them to cover them up, because in what world could he be flawed

And then we have Quasar's pre legless era field outfit. Now you might look at it and say that what the absolute hell, he'll become Swiss cheese if he doesn't put on a chest plate. Now that would be true, but he is leading a deep water squad that specialises in deep ocean ecological threats, like beasts or even chemical warfare. He probably has more in storage if he needs it not to worry. Keep in mind, he's like 15 in this, which in nautolan standards is an adult, but barely still

I found this audio and it felt too fitting not to use for them, it is just a sketch rn, but you get the idea

I think you can tell which ones I did first while I wasn't yet tired of drawing

I tried to do a bit of a background study and also figure out Quasar's crews quarters layout

The anatomy or lighting isn't that great but this was just a quick doodle so I don't really mind

Anyway Quasar wanted to nap but wants to make sure Leyc doesn't burn down anything meanwhile so he's letting him paint on his back :)

Since today it has officially been a year since I've started to actively draw these idiots!! :D

I have @keep-the-socks-on-karta to blame for this

Quasar has actually existed for like two years at this point, but I had very little lore for him at the time Tranyc and Korar were hurled at me

Well i can't really complain, I love these idiots to death

Leyc doesn't appear in this because he actually didn't exist when I drew the original version (maybe 11 months ago?) of this since if you've been around that was my old banner

It's kind of funny thinking back on how he didn't even exist as an idea and yet Tranyc might as well have described him here

And that comes into play in lore later don't you worry ;)

And then him and Quasar bickering like an old married couple and his growing plant addiction

We've joked with @keep-the-socks-on-karta that Korar has a habit of messing with Tranyc by simply saying "look at me" or "hey" and then ask "what's wrong" because that just breaks down his disaster gay of a husband

So Quasar has had to step in before they loose the team medic

I imagine Leyc's usually the one who comforts Quasar since he's more likely to get night terrors, but Quasar's just as much there for him when he gets them

I've been trying to consept Quasar an updated field outfit

I liked the thought of giving him silly ass pants, quite literally, but then like every person I sent the consepts said the triangle on his jacket looks like a boob window. And well. I lost that battle it seems

I also feel like he needs some sort of face protection, but his tendrils might already be a dead giveaway. But consealing your expressions could prove useful

So we gotta love character trauma

Leyc got tortured, Quasar experienced order 66, Tranyc almost died and lost a sibling figure and Korar snapped to almost no return

Yeah, I might need to stop hitting them with star destroyers

When your future boyfriend decides to shoot his shot at the end of your professional call and ask if he can jump on the ship

Instead of "You look lonely, I can fix that" Leyc probably said "Ey you lonely fucker, want me to join ya this time?" but does it really matter what he says, it's gay anyway

Leyc with a little baby mohawk has me both in a chokehold and dying from laughter

For the sake of the meme we have a colour swapped Numa as a reference because I know I'd get attached to any character I'd make

Anyway, even if Quasar feels too old to have a child, he'd absolutely pic up stary kids if they need help. He's a dad by nature and I find the possible interaction of Korar and Tranyc realising Quasar has taken a kid in his care is very funny (because those two, could not be parents even if they tried, their Tooka cat Edee is proof of that)

Anyway let Quasar be a dad again

I've been trying to figure out what Quasar sounds like and Howl from Howl's moving castle is pretty damn close to what I've been imagining

And so fuck it, this is funny and Leyc's a pretty little boy in Sophie's dress
