I'm sailing across the water and I'll dock right on the shore!

A new uncorrupted baby for my oc au. This little lady is what the uncorrupted form of the lovely Fairy Quartz looks like.

She was born labeled to be shattered due to her massive gemstone keeping her from really picking herself up off the ground or moving anywhere. Yeah, see that massive boulder she's perched atop? That's her gem.

However, a Crystal Gem spy managed to sneak her gem off the chopping block and to freedom.

Fairy Quartz wanted to join the fight for freedom but didn't have much to offer with her condition. Rose Quartz promised she'd hide Fairy away, somewhere safe, and come back for her once the war was over. Of course, Rose'd visit- not wanting to leave the little gem alone, but Fairy'd stay put until the war was over. Not that she had much of a choice, she couldn't move on her own.

Fairy Quartz spent the war hidden away in the desert, where there were no plans for building yet. She still felt lonely and angry at being seen as so weak. But, there wasn't much she could do about it-

Until the corrupting light hit.

She became a massive beast, definitely able to move this massive boulder of a gemstone now. Her corrupted form took her anger of being seen as weaker on the desert she saw and on anything that happened to pass by the beast. She was uncorrupted with the other gems and given a solid cane to help row herself along the ground. Now, she could be with other gems and finally start to figure out what she wanted for herself. And, she could even defend herself with the massive swordtail she had leftover as a corruption scar. She eventually dreams of becoming a captain of her own ship!

Utterly fascinated by their- her new form, and wanting to show it to the highest gem, White Diamond, to show her the potential fusion has. White kept her close. At first, just in case she decided this new fusion was not worth the trouble. But, after, because this fusion was helpful. And, well, a mystery that not even the great white diamond knows? She had to keep that close.

Dolomite doesn't have her cane yet and does not limp without it in this form. :^) That doesn't happen until Yellow Diamond learns not to insult or injure this fusion that is near White Diamond. Lest there be consequences.

"Yeah. What the hell is a dumb fusion doing on White Diamond's throne?"

"Shhhh!!! Not so loud!"

"What? Are you....Scared of that fusion? Hah! They don't look so tough-"

"Charoite! You're gonna get in trouble!"

"How? Is the big bad fusion gonna try to fuse with me? I'm soooo scared! I bet I could take that dainty thing-"

"Hm. I wasn't really aiming for looking dainty. I was aiming for.... Imposing."

"A-And you do look imposing, my Dolomite! P-Please forgive Charoite for her insult, she's new!"

"I'm not sorry! I meant every word!"

"Really. Including the part where you thought you could.... hm.... 'take' me?"

"Charoite no-!"

"You bet! I'll woop your fancy- GGGGKKKK-!"

"Hm. Didn't even get to finish her sentence. Please take her gemstone to a reformation barracks. And inform her of her mistake. I will not be so forgiving next time."

"Y-Yes, my Dolomite!"

"M-My- Diamond. A-Apologies for my lateness in emerging and reporting to you. I would have reported sooner but-"

"Y-You're-!"

"Brimstone, Facet Y-1 Cut 9L, permafrost defect. I emerged without standard abilities. If you desire, I will shatter myself upon this nearby spire for being so off-color-"

"No-! Brimstone- A shuttle is on the way to retrieve you immediately! How did you emerge- How did you survive the collapse?!"

"I- erm- I was injected in the middle of a spot that did not collapse, my Diamond."

"Are- Are there any others?"

"I am sorry, my Diamond, I am the only one. I.... waited."

"I.... See. Thank you, Brimstone. You will not be punished for being off-color. I'll- I'll think of something for you. But I won't shatter you. You.... You're the last remnant of my first colony."

"Th- Thank you, my Diamond."

"Be sure to greet our Diamond in kind and comfort her if asked, as you all have before! I am sure you all will be rewarded handsomely for your loyalty and patience during this difficult time for Blue Diamond."

"Of- course, my Crystal! I'll make sure all these gems are at their posts, ready to receive our Diamond! And, I'll make sure to greet our Diamond personally!"

"Hm.....? Oh, Angelite! I almost didn't see you there! Why don't you hold onto my cape while I ready the bubble room for my Diamond? I must make sure to be there in time to comfort my Diamond when she arrives here. I'll be sure to give here your greetings when I remember to!"

"I-! THANK you, my Crystal! I'm VERY GREATFUL for that!"

Another replace all canon gems with ocs au gem; Romanechite!

Romanechite, or “Roman” for short, was once a servant. Romanechites are used to keep secrets for the upper class. If asked, they physically cannot tell a secret to any other gem. Not even the Diamonds. They can be general secret keepers for the mass. Or, alternatively and as was Roman’s case, they can be owned much like a Pearl. 

Roman was once owned by a very high up Serpentine, keeping her secrets as needed. For, Serpentine was messenger for the Diamonds themselves. Delivering notes and orders from Blue Diamond to lower class gems. 

Being dragged around so many places lead Roman to meet many gems. And, being a very good listener, had many gems vying for her affections. It wasn’t long before Roman came to her Serpentine to tell her she was going to file for permanent fusion status with a gem she had found love with (mixed gem fusion is legal in this au; just fusions are looked down on, generally lower class, and generally treated poorly. Dolomite is very much an outlier). There was no problem with this.... Well. Just one problem.

Serpentine loved Romanechite. And wanted her all to herself. 

Serpentine took an extreme step, and used a rejuvenator to reset both gems. Sending the offending lover away to awaken elsewhere. And, hoping to woo Romanechite this time.

Only, she didn’t. Roman found another gem to love. With the same results. And another, and another, and another...

Serpenite wasn’t sure how many times Romanechite had come forward with a new love before Roman found the rejuvenator's logs. Roman was.... So very angry. So very hurt, betrayed, broken, lost, wondering who she had lost without knowing....

Roman confronted Serpentine, and a fight ensued. Roman won, shattering her owner. 

Roman ran away after this, gathering the pieces of Serpentine and keeping one piece for herself. She hid in the depths of underworld. And, she found a group of other runaway off color gems to keep close with while she tried to grapple with her losses.

Roman, in era three, runs a support group for gems who were rejuvenated but never got her memories back like herself. And, she hopes that maybe she will find a gem she lost to her horrible boss....

This is Angelite, the manager of Pink Diamond’s human zoo. The zoo, within this au, is a bit of an oddity. All the gems housed within are experimental gem types that Pink Diamond herself concepted. She only ever got to see one of them emerge before she was “shattered”. These gems teeter an odd line;  technically are under Blue Diamond, but no Diamond wishes to claim them since they’re Pink’s.

Angelite is not one of these gems.

Angelite was born with a permafrost defect, a defect which can erase things that their gem type would usually have. Whether it be their standard form being totally different from what they would normally have. missing abilities that they would normally have (as seen with Brimstone), having a different coloration than normal, or loosing their base coding entirely so they’re barren like Amethyst. This defect cannot erase standard abilities like fusing or the like however. Most permafrost gems are tested for usefulness before being judged for shattering. Angelite was born lucky, simply being a different color than the average Angelite. She was quickly put to work.

Angelites usually work under Blue Diamond to poison and kill any organic matter they touch. This Angelite quickly rose through the ranks, showing initiative in her duties - and going above and beyond. Even going as far as to poison entire planets herself. 

Angelite grabbed the attention of Blue Diamond with her hard work. She became part of Blue’s personal court. Angelite dreamed of more, maybe even finding a place in the coveted open spot of Blue Diamond’s right hand....

And then Pink was shattered.

Blue Diamond quickly scooped up the gem who Pink Diamond created that actually met her, Bitch Crystal, for her right hand spot. A gem who actually knew her, who carried a piece of Pink and was created by Pink was just what she needed in that time. And, Blue shoved Angelite to the side to watch over the Pink Diamond zoo, the humans, and the other Pink Diamond gems.

Angelite grew bitter and angry. In her eyes, everything she was working for was stolen by this... this.... joke of a gem! She hates Bitch Crystal (not that he makes it hard to hate him), these stupid Pink Diamond gems, this stupid zoo, and longs for the days she’s lost. She’d do anything to win favor with the Diamonds again. Even do this stupid job she is above, or try to woo Bitch Crystal to make a legal mixed gem fusion and become Blue Diamond’s right hand like she always dreamed that way.

I thought it would be fun to draw @ask-whitepearl-and-steven ‘s Steven and my personal gem oc Dolomite interacting! A small drabble to go with this under the cut

Steven hummed to himself while holding tight onto the fidgeting Sea Glass. The crystal gems thought perhaps Adventurine had fled into the nearby woods for the hiding space, so the gems were all camping here for a few days to look for her. 

Currently, Steven had been told to stay put while the gems handled a noise that was likely to belong to a corrupted gem nearby. He knew he could fight, but would rather not fight if not necessary. So, he sat against the tree. Waiting for the gems to return.

Dolomite returned before the other gems, parting the brush with frustration - sticks in her perfect hair and scuffs over her suit. "I hate foliage."

"Dolomite!" Steven called to his room mate and.... friend? Dolomite was hard to read, being so quiet and staring at him quietly a lot. She said she knew White Diamond before he was.... this. But never said much about the before. Said that she preferred to keep those sorts of things private. Steven considered her a friend, even if she was hard to talk to sometimes. She had saved him so much, it was hard not to. "Are you okay?"

"You look like shit!" Sea Glass barked with a wide grin. 

"Sea Glass!" Steven squawked, "where did you learn-"

"Amethyst!" Sea Glass grinned up at Steven diabolically. 

"Of course," Steven sighed exasperatedly. Dolomite had brushed herself off at this point, thrown her cane to the side, and went to sit..... But instead twisted herself so she could sit upside down against a tree. Letting her legs fall forward to the ground in front of herself and folding her two sets of arms in front of her stomach. 

Steven smiled slightly at the silliness of the formal gem sitting so oddly. "I wanna do that!" CG wrangled herself out of Steven's arms and sat next to Dolomite, maneuvering so she could sit on her head as well. But, she quickly fell over with an "oof!"

Dolomite took a deep breath. In through her mouth. Out through her nose. "What are you even doing?" Steven chuckled lightly as CG tried to maneuver herself to sit on her head again. Not like she had any blood, so it wouldn't hurt her to do so.

Dolomite's eyes flicked over to Steven, before speaking tiredly, "I'm letting the light in my form rush to my gem. It gives me a little more energy to deal with this.... foliage. It can be done standing but...." Dolomite shrugged, "I thought this would be comfortable," there was a pause and a wrinkling of her nose, "It isn't." 

Steven laughed before pausing. Her gem, huh.... "Hey, Dolomite-" Steven looked her up and down. He'd never seen it before. Was it rude to ask? "Where is your gem?"

Dolomite blinked a moment. She let herself fall to the side, before writing her posture to be sitting up. She stared off into the trees. Steven sweated, seeing her distant expression. "I'm sorry- Is it rude to ask-"

"No." Dolomite interrupted, one arm moving to help CG sit on her head with support. She watched CG's happy smile for a moment as she sat oddly. "For most gems, where our gems are is a statement." She motioned with another arm, "You have a big heart, you're nurturing and kind-" She leaned forward and tapped his gem gently, "You favor thinking things through more than others. All gems wear them loudly and openly, to absorb light and to show how they may stand out from the thousands of other gems out there. But-" She looked away for a moment, "I..... Not even you have seen my gems." 

"Yeah, I haven't," Steven tilted his head, "That's why I asked where-"

"I'm sorry." Dolomite shook her head, "I meant..... Not even White saw them. Before." 

Oh. Steven swallowed. CG fell to the side again. She looked between the two before crawling back to Steven’s lap. Ignoring the serious conversation. "I kept it a secret. Keep it a secret." Dolomite did not meet Steven's eyes, looking distantly. "I don't know why. Maybe some part of me likes the air of mystery. Not even the Diamonds knew! Surely, that made me special. Made me stand out. Maybe that's what attracted her to me in the first place. My confidence to show that I was special. Like her. She never said why she kept me. She just.... did." Dolomite played with her hair for a moment. watching the white strands curl between her fingers. "Sometimes I think I was lucky. That she didn't make an example out of me. That she saw my bright-eyed loyalty to show her our new form, and eventually made me her right hand when Yellow made the position. Instead of making me her puppet."

"Dolomite, I-" Steven started, leaning forward a comforting hand. His brows furrowed a second. "Wait, 'our'?"

Dolomite smiled at Steven tiredly, “Steven- It thought you realized by now. The two eyes on one side, the four arms-” She chuckled before motioning to herself, “I’m a fusion.”

Steven stared at her in shock, before shouting so loud he would find he scared off the corrupted gem monster later-

“YOU’RE A WHAT?!”

“Ah! My Diamond! It is good to see you return from another successful conquest. All my reports on decisions made in your place are completed and in the usual location by your throne. Your usual after siege entertainment has already been ordered and will be arriving to your private quarters in exactly 30 OWLTs. Is there anything else I can do for you, my Diamond?”

So, who was the Pearl in Sonora’s tale?

I haven't designed her yet. She would look different to the Pearls we know. Pearl was a forehead gem who gained a Dr. Frankenstein complex. Could she create, as Sonora had? It was a question she'd regret answering. No one knows where Pearl left to after she fled for creating White. Pearl wouldn't have a major role in the racgwocs au, but she'd be mentioned. Sonora wonders if she'll appear again one day, now that era three is around.

This is LONG so I’m putting it all under the cut! TL;DR - Very first gem in existence ever, even before White Diamond, crystal gem, and wife to Coral

At the beginning of it all, there were but three gems. Sonora Sunrise was the very first of three gems before the gem empire began, and the only naturally occuring one. She came to life very suddenly one day, and found herself alone on a barren planet.

Sonora wanted company. So, she studied where she emerged from, and crafted the second ever gem. A gem who called herself Pearl. It was just these two for a very long time, learning about their species and the planet they were on.

However, Pearl was a massive creative, who wanted nothing more than to create a gem herself. Like Sonora had created her.  Sonora shared how she had created Pearl, and Pearl then made the third ever gem….

White Diamond.

White Diamond wanted more. She wanted more company. More gems. More everything. And, eventually, she grew an ego for crafting so many more gems than Sonora Sunrise and Pearl.

Sonora and Pearl watched in horror as White Diamond started to enslave gemkind. They were not happy about this, but White simply made stories that they were the bad guys in this tale. Trying to bring down the empire that White so lovingly crafted, out of jealousy that they hadn’t done it first.  

Pearl escaped into her mind and left, while Sonora…. Sonora went to Homeworld. She was treated as royalty, seen as equal to a Diamond. After all, she was the first gem ever. However, they waved off her ideas that gems could be the pilots of their own destiny. That gem kind should not be crafted to be nothing but slaves for the ego of one. No, White Diamond had crafted them all at this point. They would follow her. And, eventually, it was so ingrained in them all that they couldn’t break free anymore. So, Sonora watched as her dream of company turned into a nightmare.

Eventually, after thousands and thousands of years, there were four Diamonds. And, eventually Earth was to be a colony for the youngest Diamond. Pink.

Sonora heard of whispers of a rebellion brewing on the surface of Earth. Gems, fighting for their freedoms to choose their fates. Sonora was so proud! So inspired! She never could fight back as a lone gem, but with Rose leading and able to inspire gems to finally fight back…. They all had a chance.

Sonora Sunrise joined the fight for Earth, and for the freedom of all gems. She became a crystal gem.

She insisted Rose lead, not wanting to lead. Out of fear that if she lead, she would just become like White had. Or, do something worse.

Eventually, Sonora became one of the only survivors of the corruption blast.

She stayed to fight for Earth and try to find a cure for the gems who were corrupted. And, eventually, to help raise Steven.

Sonora is a bit flat affected, not really reacting with facial emotions to things and being mostly monotone. She’s serious, doesn’t get a lot of jokes, but has a hidden passionate side when it comes to the rights of individual gems.

She, eventually, has to cooperate with Coral when Coral is the only one who can help with a threat to Earth that they can’t stop. The two get close, actually fusing when Sonora hadn’t fused since Rose passed away. And, eventually, the two fall in love and wed.

Here's Copper! Formerly one of White Diamond's many defective gems she controls in order to monitor colonies. She was stationed on Earth before White released her just before the corruption blast.

She's mute, and doesn't really react to things much. Very flat affected. Because she fears if she acts out, she'll be taken by White Diamond again.

Think I'll use her for my oc au!

Liddicoatite was a showman, who defeated homeworld gems with flair. She made it all the way to the end of the war with her musical magic; but no practice or preparation could prepare her for the corruption blast.

Thankfully, she was healed in the diamond bath with other corrupted gems, and lives on the Earth she protected in little Homeworld! She enjoys playing tunes with Greg and Sadie Killer.

Definitely putting her as one of the healed gems for my oc au, I adore this design.

New gem for my replace all canon gems with ocs au! Coral!

Corals were concepted the moment Yellow Diamond’s first colony collapsed. Their duty? To go to failed or abandoned colonies in order to gather any materials left behind that could be recycled or scrapped for parts. Their multiple arms and claws useful for digging through rubble, their antenna used for detecting electronic signals and telepathy between their fellow gems (so they could communicate if they got trapped), and they were given packs to store any scrap they find small enough to carry on their person. 

This Coral is an era two gem, freshly emerged out of her kindergarten and ready to work.... On Earth. Her first assignment is to go to the failed Earth colony and gather what she can. However, she finds more than technology left behind... She finds living gems, ready to defend the planet.

Coral is a very.... trash gremlin gem. She doesn’t really think before she speaks, and finds herself interested in things most gems would find gross. Like trash or decaying matter. She’s highly intelligent, and can craft things out of her trash that most blueprint gems couldn’t. 

Coral eventually joins the crystal gems, and is wed to one of the crystal gems in a beautiful ceremony officiated by Steven.

Another gem from my “replace all the canon gems with ocs” au; Petalite!

Petalite was not meant to be made. Pink Diamond was trying to impress White Diamond with her concepts for gems, so she could gain her first colony. 

Before going before White, Pink Diamond told Blue Diamond all her ideas. Blue... was scared for Pink. All these gem ideas didn’t have much use to the empire. She feared Pink getting in more major trouble for these ideas than the tower, the worst case scenarios popping in her head. 

So, Blue did the unthinkable. She “borrowed” Pink’s essence and crafted a more sensible gem that still seemed like something Pink would concept. A gem who would experiment upon organics to try to find a use for them for the empire. Petalite was born of this as the first test gem, and presented to Pink secretly before she could go to White with her ideas. 

Pink was furious at Blue for this back handed slight, and threw a bit of a tantrum. Both gems were thrown into the tower to calm down and connect. Petalite feared her shattering at the hands of Pink for just being born.... But Pink did not blame Petalite for something out of her hands. Rather, she was furious at Blue for thinking her ideas were so bad and going behind her back. Stealing her first crafted gem type - a very personal and loving experience for a Diamond. 

Pink was forced to present Petalite before White. White did enjoy Pink’s more serious idea, saying she feared Pink would only give silly ideas that would not help the empire at large. However. White did not think this gem concept should be mass produced, as Pink was the only one with interest in organics. No no, if anything.... This should be Pink’s right hand!

Not only did Pink loose her chance at crafting her first gem herself, she lost the chance to choose her own right hand. Pink was furious, bitter, and pulled away from Petalite as a result. It didn’t help Pink was privately horrified at Petalite’s dissection and study of  organics that she just wanted to play with. And, found it hard to connect with such an outwardly flat affected gem.

Petalite tried her hardest to please, Pink, but..... Pink just kept pulling further and further away. Especially when she was finally given Earth. Where was she all the time? 

On that faithful day, Pink instructed Petalite to do something on Homeworld for her. She needed to give a speech on Earth she said. 

Petalite was not there the moment Pink Diamond was shattered.

Petalite was devastated, so much so she went into her own head and lost her color- something that can happen to a gem only in extreme situations. Petalite desperately buried herself in research in study, turning down Blue’s offer to become her own right hand and resulting in Bitch Crystal being selected for the position instead. She didn’t want to fail another Diamond. 

No, Petalite threw herself at the shard of her Diamond, desperately trying to repair her with all kindergarten techniques known to gem kind. But nothing helped. She grew colder, more distant, and only really showed anger at those who bothered her studies now. 

When Steven arrives at homeworld as “Rose”, she demands they shatter him, so she may use his naturally healing shards to try to fix Pink.. But, when he’s thought to be “Pink”... She’s relived. Happy. So glad her diamond is truly okay..... Confused. Hurt. Why didn’t she know? How could she not know? Why didn’t Pink tell her? She knew Pink didn’t like her too much but, to be left behind like that.... 

In era three, when Steven is Steven, she’s lost and unsure what to do now. All her existence has centered around Pink. And she’s not really sure who “Petalite” is anymore under all the trauma and loss.

Decided to redesign Dolomite. with bits pulled from @pocket-gems lovely redesign of her! 

Here is the penultimate gem for my gem bomb; B*tch Crystal! (Yes. This is a thing.)

B*tch Crystal is an entirely unique gem, There are no other Bitch Crystals in existence. He was one of a few experimental gem types created by Pink Diamond to prove she was ready for a colony, whose recipe was lost when she was “shattered”.

B*tch Crystal is gossipy, flamboyant, loud, and extra. No one really likes him except for Blue Diamond.

I’m gonna make him Blue Diamond’s right hand in my “replace all the canon gems with ocs” au. For, B*tch Crystal is one of Pink Diamond’s lost treasures. A reminder of her. He does admire Blue, and is grateful for the role. And Blue is very protective of him despite his personality. However, she doesn’t really refer to him as “her’s” very often. She only refers to him as Pink’s. This makes B*tch Crystal quietly unhappy, but he never voices it.

B*tch Crystal tries not to think of Pink much. He only really met her once when he was born and then was ushered away for testing of his abilities. He only heard that Pink was shattered when Blue came to get him. However, he does wish he could have gotten to know her a bit better.

B*tch Crystal is not close to the other right hands, both Dolomite and Brimstone finding him annoying and tiring. He actively challenges Yellow’s rule the most, and doesn’t listen to her at times - unable to be shattered because of his closeness to Blue. He does listen to White quietly, but inwardly doesn’t like her judgemental stare. Out of everyone, B*tch Crystal feels the worst annoying Brimstone (Because Brimstone is pure and doesn't deserve this).

When Steven comes to homeworld as Rose, he does quietly ask why he did it. And if he knew her well. When it’s thought Steven is Pink, he wants desperately to know why he hid. Was it something B*tch Crystal did? But, he hides it under confidence and jokes. When Steven is found to be his own person, Bitch Crystal still wants to know him better. And goes to Earth on a quest to find himself and why Pink fell for Earth. Back to his flamboyant self the whole way. 

B*tch Crystal identifies as genderqueer and prefers he/him pronouns but is comfortable with she/they pronouns as well. 

Another gem for my oc au; Asterism! One of the off colors.

Asterism technically has nothing wrong with her. She is simply fulfilling her purpose being with the off colors. Pink Diamond originally crafted Asterisms to be helpful…. For rebels. Hear her out! The original concept was for Asterisms to “escort” rebels and off colors that were considered “dangerous” or not worth the trouble of chasing after to a non homeworld controlled planet to live out their days. This way, there would be minimum harm to Homeworld, and Homeworld wouldn’t have to exert recourses on just one or two errant gems. They were kept in service by Blue Diamond, but are very few and far between these days. 

Asterism is supposed to escort the off color group off planet, while keeping away from guards. Most guards don’t listen to Asterisms and just attempt to shatter the gems they’re escorting. They were taking a break to rest, when Lars and Steven came upon their hideout. 

Asterism herself is a bit ditzy and does not know how to stop talking. She is loyal to a fault, and has no idea she could be free if she just tried. Plenty of off colors have tried to get this well meaning gem to think for herself, but she’s never followed them. Lars is the first one she follows, inspired by his sacrifice to learn more about what more she could do for her duty. And, eventually, Lars  and the other off colors help her figure out that she can do what she wants. It doesn’t matter what anyone thinks..

Another gem for my personal relaxing oc au where I replace all the gems (minus the diamonds and steven and rose) with gem ocs of mine. 

This is Brimstone! The right hand of Yellow Diamond.

Brimstone is the sole survivor and emergent gem of a disastrous first colony attempt by Yellow Diamond. The colony was plagued by hostile/powerful organics, permafrost in the ground (which would cause erasures in an emerging gem’s coding if they were infected while they were incubating), and it was unable to support the pressure upon it. The colony literally collapsed in on itself. This caused the loss of all files on how to make Brimstones. Yellow was devastated by this embarrassing loss, caused by her bullheadedness and rush to complete her first colony in her eyes. So, she was truly thrilled to see that but one Brimstone emerged and survived the collapse. Even if the Brimstone was infected by permafrost and lost a few abilities she wanted Brimstones to have due to it, Yellow quickly took Brimstone in as her official right hand, protecting the one success from her first colony from the wrath of White Diamond.

Brimstone herself is very quiet, shy, and anxious. She frets for her poor Diamond’s health, and fears the “scary” rebels that have come to a head suddenly. She feared them during the war too. Feared that they would steal her away from her diamond. Her lower half is a broom so she can sweep as she walks.

The four Diamond right hands are a very close nit group, so Brimstone is close with Dolomite - something very few gems can say. She finds Steven terrifying at first, when they think he is Rose. She hides behind Yellow’s leg the best she can while taking notes of the trial. When they think he’s Pink, she is polite and doesn’t talk to him much. Asking to be excused from his next “game” a few times. And when they finally realize he’s his own person, Brimstone is kind and more open to him. 

another gem from my oc au that I’ve been sitting on for a bit. In this au, mixed gem  fusions are legal. Dolomite uses she/they pronouns.

This is Dolomite. One of the oldest gems in existence. Older than even Yellow and Blue Diamond. And one of the most mysterious. No one knows what their components are (although the fact that her gems are upon her forehead and her upper right palm are known to a few). No one alive knows when, how, or why they formed. No one knows if her cane is summoned or built by some long shattered gem. 

What is known, is that iths gem is one of, if not the highest ranked non diamond gem. They are the right hand to White Diamond, being her favorite gem. She knows secrets to gem kind only White is privy to. She keeps White’s schedules, her notes, her counts, attends appointments in her place, and anything else the Diamond orders of them. Often, they even come in the place of White Diamond and makes a ruling for her, knowing what their Diamond would like best. 

They do own a Pearl, and find the Pearl beautiful. They gift her many treasures meant for war heroes and the like. Even gems trapped within objects for her to wear. Only the best for their Pearl. 

Dolomite’s cane is always with them. They use it to assist their walking, as it seems they have a slight limp. The can can turn into a lightning shooting destabilizer at will. 

Dolomite has never poofed in public. They have gotten hurt in attacks, of course. But they always manage to keep it together long enough to poof in private. Even one time going as far as to report to White Diamond while still having a spear impaled through their abdomen. 

Dolomite is considered the most powerful non Diamond gem, and is highly respected and feared. Despite her being a fusion (mixed gem fusions are still treated not great in this au). Yellow Diamond thinks it’s ridiculous she has to report to a fusion of all things most of the time. Blue Diamond finds Dolomite charming, and thinks White keeps her for decoration. A walking, talking, very high rank decoration. But both know better than to insult them.
