Looking through old art, I discovered that exactly 4 years ago I joined the "Wings of fire" fandom. So I found and redrew the very first character.
2020 vs 2024
His name is Varan. From Latin Varanus (Yes, I like to take bits of Latin words as names).
Why are his irises and collar all the colors of the rainbow? I didn’t know how to show that out of all the colors, only they can change color.
Since you liked Mojave so much, here's a little icon for you.
The plan is to draw it next to a regular sized Rainwing.
As soon as I find this Rainwing. I don't want to draw someone from the canon. But on the other hand, my friends have characters with complex (multi-detailed) colors. Dilemma.
Named after the morph of the royal python: super mojave.
One day I'll learn to tell more about my characters.

Moving on from Minecraft dragons for a little while, here are some newer designs for the MLP mane 6, and some notes on their designs
Twilight is obviously a Nightwing, I also made her animus to go with the whole alicorn thing. She has the ability to create prophecies too. I tried to stick to her og color palette but I added some darker colors to really make her accurate to her tribe.
Rarity is literally so Icewing coded, the color pallet fits well within an icewing design, I added some more purple tho just to add to the overall design. I gave her some diamonds imbedded in her chest as a nod to her cutie mark.
Pinkie is a rainwing because its a brightly colored dragon but also because they can change colors, and in the show when pinkie is like super depressed her colors are duller so I thought a color changing dragon would be really good at reflecting that. I imagine that she was adopted and raised by mudwings on a rock farm.
Applejack was originally going to be a sandwing since her colors matched well with them but I ended up choosing mudwing. Mudwings are family oriented dragons and also really muscular so it really fits Applejack. I even drew her hat. I tried to add some speckles on her thigh that looks like apples but they look a little more like pumpkins or bell peppers tbh.
Went through a lot of changes with Rainbow Dash but landed on skywing for her. Her personality really screams skywing and also her whole character revolves around flying really fast which is a Skywing speciality. Idk how canon her colors are but im pretty sure skywings can be grey so I decided to make her a blueish gray. Instead of having actual rainbow patterns they’re paint on racing stripes.
Fluttershy is a silkwing for more obvious reasons, and like Pinkie it was easier to stay on pallete for her colors since silks can be just about any color. I gave her some cool patterns on her wings and some speckles on her body just to add more to the design.
That’s all I have to say about them really !! Im thinking of doing something for the princesses and maybe discord too.
In the future im gonna start posting more original character content just cause it’s easier for me but I will still be doing fan designs !!

Me, seeing what happened to Moon in this AU: OH NO!!! MY POOR BABY!!!

The art was inspired by @ravewing`s fragariapathosis AU. It crawled into my brain unnoticed and stayed here so I had no other choice except drawing this
Well, I finally finished to read The Flames of Hope, drew a picture of Freedom aka Lizard. And... I`m not going to tell my opinion about the book, because a lot of people have already told it and mine will change nothing. I want to tell what I think about this series in general.
Tui should end it. Seriously. With all this Pyrrhia-Pantala contact being established, dissapearing of animus magic and the conflict beetwen scavengers and dragons solved TFoH looks like an obvious finish of this story. Yes, it is messy, weird and somewhat disappointing (IMO), but it`s what we have now. It`s written. And I see no sense for author to continue it all (except squeezing the money out of the franchise, of course).
Plus it feels like Tui is burnt out (and I'm not alone who notices it). Continuing to write the series in such state and with such attitude is not a good decision and there`s a big possibility of WOF turning into WC 2.0. I don`t mind more Winglets or something like this, but the main storyline should be left as it is.
And yes. Tui, where`s ref of Freedom? Same question about Hawthorn. There are a lot of characters who were written to be dead, but at least we know how they looked like
So, one moment people started to talk about religious woftubers. Then I remembered smth and opened my old sketchbook... I think I opened the Pandora`s box
