self love & confidence!!

living life everyday with self-respect and self love will take you such a far way in all aspects of life, and will make your life more enjoyable and easy. make sure you take the time out of your day to remind yourself just how amazing and capable you are. be your own best friend. understand that what you focus on grows.

self care !!

you deserve to be treated with the upmost care. schedule times to pamper yourself and also check in with yourself.

taking care of your mind and body goes hand and hand.

for caring for your mind:

meditate, journal your thoughts down, do some yoga, connect to your religion/spirituality if you follow one, make affirmations for yourself that cater to your needs, practice gratitude.

for caring for your body:

create your own spa! indulge in a bubble bath or relaxing shower where you can use yummy scented body washes/soaps/exfoliators and body conditioners, do a hair mask, give yourself a manicure and pedicure, do your eyebrows, have a set skincare routine that is catered personally to your skin problems/goals, give yourself a head massage, wear matching or yummy scented lotions and perfumes, work out, try new delicious recipes and make sure you are eating good for your body.

hobbies !!

all of the girls had their own hobbies they were into! explore new hobbies or start the ones you’ve always been wanting to do but have been putting off! not only are they fun but they enhance your life! you get to learn more about yourself and find out possible hidden talents or grow new ones, you meet new people and make new friends too whether it’s you doing the actual hobby or running across someone who enjoys the same things that you do! some hobbies to consider:

any dance class: ballet, hip-hop, k-pop etc.

photography

any sport: tennis, ice skating, golfing, etc.

gardening

reading & writing

camping

crafting

blogging

cooking & baking

school and personal goals !!

one thing i love about the bratz is that they took their education seriously and helped each other whenever one of them needed the help. nothing is more fabulous than being educated and ambitious. you can do anything you put your mind to. 

create a study schedule for yourself and limit your distractions, when it’s time to study put your phone away and remove anything that you know will serve as a distraction to you, give yourself breaks from here and there too!

create a vision board! cut and paste pictures of things you want for your future onto a poster board or be creative and draw and color everything out! this is a great reminder everyday for yourself if you put it somewhere you’ll be able to see whenever you wake up or a spot in your room that you’re always looking at for example. (what you focus on grows!)

jot down all the things you want to do or improve on, whether thats creating good habits for yourself, learning a new language, etc.

have a passion for fashion !!

I completely agree.

Like, I love Starlight as a character. But her "redemption arc" is hilariously bad. Those she literally held hostage as part of a cult just welcome her back warmly. And Cozy Glow gets thrown into Tartarus (and eventually frozen into stone)?

And, like, having the creatures of other species rescue said racist chancellor and give him a change of heart is just fucked up. It's like it's a whole trope in media where bigots are supposed to be given a "change of heart" with friendship, ignoring the fact that actual hardcore bigots are fucked to the core (e.g. Steven Universe finale).

And the Yaks, I can't stand them. They're like a collection of stereotypes from other cultural/ethnic groups Frankenstein'd together, but you can barely tell what most of them are. The ponies attempting to make Yona speak and act pony-like for a school dance didn't help, even if the whole point of the episode was that it was a terrible idea.

As much as I like mlp, I can't help but feel like the higher-ups who actually worked on the show are a bunch of problematic cunts.

I can write an entire essay on how the show has been both implicitly and explicitly racist. And it goes deeper than just Zecora, some of the Pillars of Equestria, or even the Buffalo. The ponies are coded in a way to fit white standards of being "civilized", while other species are often portrayed as being backwards or barbaric. Hell, the entire School of Friendship is basically looking at the other species and going "your ways of life are uncivilized and barbaric; let us impose our ways onto you, to save you". I could go on.

It's no wonder why it would alienate people and only amplify white voices. It's in the very foundations of the worldbuilding.

TO THE ART BASHER/HATERS

this is what we experience in senior high school currently)

Random Realizations #1:

A. Being an Arts and Design student or just a student in general, requires a lot of mental and physical strength. You have to keep up with both the academic works and performances. You have to have the skill of switching your focus from dancing to studying a lot. (Legit) You also have to have the skill of acting like your not tired when you really are.

B. Not everyone will understand the hard-work you put into projects/works of art. Many will judge you despite what you are going through. Many will let go of harsh words and trash your artworks. You have to be strong and continue to persevere.

C. Expect the unexpected. When you think you have it all under your control, expect surprises that will make you go crazy. Remain as calm as possible (though nakakaloka).

D. Most of the times, it's best to remain quiet. As sad as reality goes, stay calm and quiet even if a person does wrong 😞 It's hard to fight a person who is full of pride. Just let them realize what they did wrong on their own. (Let karma do the job)

E. Rest, eat, and sleep. Never let your body suffer. Once you break down physically, the rest will follow and you'll end up in a difficult situation

F. Hold on no matter what happens. No matter how many people drag you to the pit or how they just abuse your kindness. Hold on and treasure yourself.

G. Save money. Being an AD student requires a lot of cash haha Sometimes (or most of the times) a month's worth of allowance will be spent in a day just for projects that will end up being discarded/ replaced in the near future 😂😂😂

H. You have to be a magician (char) You have to be flexible enough to finish projects due on the same day. Just do it. These are those YOLO moments in life wherein you bet everything in it and submit what you've finished (even if it isn't completely done)
