Really it's the same thing that started Emily's path of revenge. Her father asked her to forgive and she couldn't. Margaux is now to Emily what Emily was to Victoria.
But now that Malcom has been killed, why couldn’t everyone clear Daniel’s name? They could spin it so that Kate went after Emily because she’s David’s “grandson’s” godmother and she has lots of money, or something. I am sure they could have cleared Daniel’s name and protected Emily’s identity if they tried. Margaux’s “revenge” is unwarranted and does not honor Daniel. Daniel died to protect her. He chose her over his mother. He wouldn’t want Margaux to hurt Emily.
RIP Daniel Grayson, who went out being a hero.
I mean, don't get ahead of yourself. Someone IS dying Sunday.
Congrats! You're going to be a grandmother!
Funny.
Recapping what I've seen online:
David, Louise, Victoria, Nolan, Margaux, and Emily all attend the funeral as scene in the clip that was posted online. (I'm guessing that was Emily laughing and holding the camera.) So logically none of them can die next week.
Multiple people have said they saw Ben in promo pics for later episodes. While I haven't seen these, I think it's unlikely they would create the character just to kill him off (but hey, fingers crossed it's him and not a regular).
That leaves Daniel, Charlotte, and Jack in the line of fire. Charlotte already left, so that doesn't make much sense. Jack is possible, by why would Louise attend the funeral? Unless David drags Victoria to it and Louise stalks her, it doesn't make much sense.
This, unfortunately, leaves Daniel, whom the show recently decided to give decent scenes. This feels like the shows way of saying goodbye to the character by cramming in as many Danily moments as possible so fans feel somewhat appeased at the end. It is also made more tragic by the fact that he was genuinely going to be a father this time, and it will be ripped away from him again.
PRAYING that I'm wrong, but this seems like the most likely avenue, coupled with the rumors from last season that Josh Bowman wanted to leave the show.
More likely they are cramming in as many Daniel and Emily moments as they can before killing him off in a useless and convoluted manner, aka jealous rage from Louise.
i really hope that they’re setting up for emily x daniel because they’re the most interesting thing on this show right now
I will sob miserable, miserable tears. But this is what I'm praying for as well.
If Daniel dies I only ask for two things:
1. Emily is there, she tries to save him. They finally apologize and forgive each other as an ‘atonement’.
2. We get a flashback where Emily and Daniel met as children and hit it off really well, but then David and Victoria called them apart.
THANK YOU. Honestly how many love interests does she need?
Is this new cop guy for real tho? Like no fuck off
Such reactions are known to happen when a character finally gets interesting.
It’s funny coz last season we were all like “KILL DANIEL!!” and this season we’re like “NO NOT DANIEL!” Damn is this fandom like a rubber band.
Frankly, I think it's entirely likely that Daniel is about to be killed off. The interactions with both Victoria and Emily strike me as "closure" conversations so that fans feel as if they said goodbye to the character through the resolution of issues. It's basically how I felt when Neal was killed off in Once Upon a Time. Little conversations with the people most relevant to his character so that loose threads aren't left hanging. Really hope I'm wrong, but I can't think of any other funeral that Louise would attend, unless maybe she shows up because Charlotte died.
Where are these rumors coming from?? What picture/video/interview is saying this?
I really don’t think it’s daniel dying I mean why would nolan be at daniel’s funeral if i remember correctly is that nolan doesn’t like/hate daniel very much so
I wish the writers wouldn't play with me like this. I will demand a Danily scene every week.
