Now feels like a good time to bring back this print I made in 2020. A lot of what I'm feeling now is similar to what I was feeling then- despair, rage, frustration, helplessness, fear, a desire to just burn it all down. This piece was a way to channel those feelings, and visualize revolution. I realized through it the idea that the world I wanted to live in– one that is full of community and joy– cannot become a reality without some destruction. We will have to do difficult things, things out of our comfort zones, but nothing that thousands of people haven't already been doing and experiencing for years under this oppressive state. We are not starting from scratch, and we are not working in isolation. Start with your own community. Mutual aid hub can help you find aid groups in your area. 211 helps curate nation-wide and local community services for easy access. Feel free to add any other resources for community organizing onto this post, I'm still doing research myself.
The revolution is already underway, do your research and find out how you can be a part of it.
