Do I think that Ricky will not go with the others in EJ's car because he will go last minute? Yes, it is the most logical.
I like to think that Ricky won't ride with the others in EJ's car because the theater band constantly excludes him because I love angst and that idea feeds my heart? Hell yes
I'm going to write a few headcanons from my AU of Ricky's Mexican boyfriend. Me vale pito if nobody reads it I'll write them anyway
Okay I'm having this little idea where during the summer Ricky decides to go live with his mother in Chicago, he goes to therapy, fixes his issues and in spring break he returns to Salt Lake quite happy, cheerful and with dyed blonde hair.
Then talking to his friends he mentions something like "Oh yeah, I have a boyfriend ... Surprise"
I think maybe I will make little AU headcanos #Rickysmexicanboyfrendau oh yeah... that title sounds horrible.
I'm sick of Ricky's life and development (if we can call it that) revolves solely around his love life, we don't know Ricky's aspirations, we don't know Ricky's passions, we don't know Ricky's goals, Instead of watching Ricky grow, mature and think about his future like the rest of the characters the writers focused on putting him in unstable relationships, give Ricky the development he deserves without having to depend on a partner.
EJ: Is there anyone in this theater who is straight?
Big Red: *Raises his hand*
Ricky: *Lowers Big Red's hand*
Ricky: You read my diary?
Nini: At first I did not know it was your diary. I thought it was a very sad handwritten book.
What if...
Lynne taught Ricky how to play the piano, which is why she has a piano in the room that she has prepared for Ricky in her apartment.
I think sometimes Lynne goes there to play music and think about how she was a bad mother and how she wants to change that.
Just imagine that Ricky, after spending spring break with his mother, decides to move in with her at the end of the school year so that he can be in a quiet place and go to therapy. And then the season ends with Ricky singing Gotta Go My Own Way as we watch the other couples having fun and Nini being independent.
At this point I think that Ricky's mother is the only character capable of telling Ricky what he needs to hear, I hate her, but I think that only she can give him the reality check that Ricky needs to seek help, he needs to go to therapy, treat his emotional dependency, I hate to say it but my last hope is Lynne Bowen.
