I gave in to darkness once and ever since it’s chased me in one form or another.

Riku Appreciation Week | Day 1: Favourite Appearance So, this felt like the perfect opportunity to finally, well, draw some Riku. I absolutely love hin im 3D. I could run around as him all the time! (ReCoded is very close though, DataRiku is my little darling, haha.)

Re:Coded is one of my absolute favourite games ever. For me it's probably the funniest game in terms of gameplay and still it's so incredibly sad and heartbreaking. I mean, fighting while there's Riku's or Roxas' Theme playing?! I'm really sad that it's "just" a movie in 2.5 Remix ... u _ u But I am sure I will love it anyway :) And hey, SECRET MOVIE.
Re:Coded is actually the game that made me like Sora. I disliked him very much when I started in on the KH series five years ago – I started with KH2, followed by 358/2 Days, followed by BBS. I had immediately a strong connection to Roxas, but Sora ... For me he was just a bad replacement (somehow ironic), and I could never forgive him for running around killing people so easily. I mean, yes, they are Nobodies, but still ... Only Re:Coded made me realize then that Sora is (still) a really really really cool character, DDD did then do the rest.
And I just love DataRiku.
What it’s like playing through Chains of Memories
Sora’s side: a long-winded mystery that is slightly unsettling with the memory-loss and all, but is a story shrouded in nostalgia that sweetly pushes the whole Friendship Is Magic trope. The conflict reveals new depths to the characters (especially Sora), but Sora’s optimism prevails and we result in a hopeful ending.
Riku’s side: RIKU MUST GRAPPLE WITH HIS DARKNESS ONCE MORE ALL WITHOUT ANY SUPPORT FROM FRIENDS, WHILE CONSTANTLY BEING REMINDED OF HIS PAST MISTAKES AND HOW PATHETIC HE IS FOR BEING SCARED OF BECOMING EVIL AGAIN DESPITE THE FACT THAT HE IS A CHILD AND SHOULD NOT HAVE TO SUFFER ANY MORE.
Me, suitably horrified: I thought this was a kids game.
When I say a character is hot, I don't mean that they are sexually attractive; it means I want to go on long walks with them, make them coffee, and snuggle up in a blanket.
The two people fighting in the background of that one scene are Riku & Aqua btw. They had a fight after Sora sacrificed himself to save Kairi. It was something along the lines of Aqua telling Riku he can't go searching for Sora, and he, being emotionally unstable, snapped and yelled at her.

These two are still two of the most powerful keyblade wielders Villains or not. Also i'm thinking of having this be a Villain rehab kinda au where once the Origination gets defeated. They Bring Sora and Riku back with them and start helping them get used to helping people & living a normal life.
But like imagine these two being villains in the actual game, like fuck- I think i'd quit before I even started the fight-

I need to fucking sleep man. I was doing so good on this till i had to draw Sora- like wtf happened. I'm so sorry Sora ur animation looks so choppy. Anyway I just finished the Gay Blade fight *Cough Cough* I mean Aqua's fight, and thought this audio would fit them really well. It does, I just wish I did better job at animating it.

This was just supposed to be a more dynamic pose practice. but- It was so Soriku coded that I had to! Plus I was listening to Tip Toe by HYBS. It turned out really good tho, so im proud of it!

Anyway i'm replaying Kingdom Hearts 3 since its the only Playstation Game we own that is still in my game interests. Plus I love the game, it's the second game I ever completed on my own. The first being NieR: Automata. I love Horror, Combat, & Slice of life games. Tho I did cry when they killed off 9S in NieR: Automata.

Wait, who doesn't like Riku?
I didn't directly saw it myself but I saw ppl talk about it in twitter that there are some people that hate Riku after DDD came out and get critical of Riku from it. And there was a person said that their friend were cosplaying Riku and some guys straight up being rude and told them they don't care about their cosplay and ignored them.
I still genuinly don't understand why somene would hate Riku tho. He has the best character development in this serie lmao.
