With the help of an ER Nurse with multiple years in her field, this is a Masterpost for an analysis on the Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Movie on what their injuries would be were the movie seen through a realistic lens. These injuries were figured out through hours of research into the movie and injuries that could come from certain attacks, and were proofread by an EMT who said it was accurate.

I know this isn't connected to my Spirits Within the Wepons au but when I saw this I couldn't help but laugh, because this is something Fundi and Mikey would defiantly do (Espcially when Mikey finds out about Fundi).

Yooo, your Prolonged Agony fic is painful to my emotions! :0 It is good drama, tasty like a well made cake. But I gotta ask somethin'. Why don't the bros just, like, toss Leo stuff through the portals? Like, new wraps and what not?
I'm so glad your enjoying my fic! And thank you for asking, it is a really interesting question, my answer is going to be a bit long I'm afraid.
To answer your question: I think the boys are far too desperate about getting Leo back to even think about anything else. For one, they forgot to tell April and Casey about their attempts to save Leo; they could've gone to Draxum for help—this is something Mikey especially could've done. And they also could've actually tried to go in themselves to reach him that way.
These are all things I deliberately missed out because I think when you're scared, in pain and still healing yourself, and feel you have only one tiny hint of hope of getting someone you love back, all you do is focus on that one thing. In this case, pulling Leo out through Mikey's portals is their one hope, so they're fixated on that alone and are not thinking about anything else.
Spoilers below for anyone who hasn't read the fic.
In portal 1 and 2- they only just got away from the fight themselves, didn't have supplies, and also didn't even consider that it would fail.
Portal 3- Mikey was by himself and wasn't thinking much at all apart from getting Leo out.
Protal 4- Failed.
Portal 5- At this point, if they started to actually formulate proper plans—like providing medical supplies and food etc—to them it would've felt like they were kinda giving up on getting Leo out of the a Prison Dimension. That they were going to make his life there comfortable instead of saving him from being there. They want him out ASAP, so actually helping in other ways would've felt like thay were stalling because they couldn't save him.
Portal 6- Traumatised after last portal. Plus it wasn't a planed portal, Mikey and Donnie were just worried about Leo and just wanted to see him, to make sure he was still alive.
Portal 7+- We'll see. (Chapters are already written and waiting to be posted.)
So yeah, stress, worry, desperation and trauma are all playing their part at stopping the boys from thinking straight. Does that make sense?
Eveytime I see a really good fanfic idea I always get the urge to write it, this is one of those moments.
But alas... I'm too lazy to do so...
Someone please write a fanfic on this so I can at leat read it.
I would've loved if the movie ended with Leo still in the Prison Dimension. Not just because of the angst, but because Leo and Kraang would've been each other's warden.
Because imagine if Leo didn't immediately give up when the portal closed. Imagine if he constantly gave it his all and fought Kraang every second of every day. But neither one was winning.
We could've had Leo and Kraang in a stalemate for months. Raph, Donnie, and Mikey racing against the clock because Leo can't fight forever.
Mikey is only strong enough to open a portal for a few seconds. And, every time he does, he sees the both of them fighting tooth and nail just to overpower the other. Mikey's never seen Leo this intense. This ruthless.
The longer Leo is in the prison dimension, the more ruthless he gets. There's a reason Kraang hasn't been able to kill him yet....
It gets to the point where, unknowing to Raph and Donnie, Mikey questions whether or not Leo should be allowed out of the prison dimension-

With the spirit in the weapon au what happened to them after shredder and since donnie got his Hamato ninpo do they get Hal?
Ahh that's the thing.... in the UK I haven't got access to season 2 😫 (Paramount only had season 1)
I'm loosely aware of their fight with shredder and about their ninpo, but don't know much. I'm trying to avoid spoilers for season 2 (although its been out ages) because I'm hoping ONE DAY I'll be able to watch it.
Have seen the film though lol.
Despite that, I'm pretty sure the other spirits would do anything to get Hal involved eventually, even if he is reluctant about it—though Hal would secretly enjoy the attention.
Hal would basically become some sort lab assistant for Donnie, and since Hal is pretty agreeable and hates causing problems for anyone, he and Donnie would get along quite well—of course Donnie has no idea he's there though, since no one can see the spirits.
That's all I can really say though 😅

Honestly, Oda doesn't know why he even bothers to mediate knowing that Fundi can't last five minutes without causing some trouble/bothering him.
Tonfa has to use the Tonfas to flip the pages of the comic as the Spirits cannot interact with anything other than the weapons they inhabit.
