⭑⭑ sukuna x reader — fem reader, short reader implied, modern au, fluff.
yapper!gf x ‘idgaf’ sukuna who acts like he’s absolutely done with you whenever you’re going on and on about the mundane things in your life, not admitting that he finds it a little cute at the fact that you just can’t seem to shut your pretty mouth up.
“uh huh.” he leans his cheek against his knuckles, looking fairly uninterested as you ramble about how ‘discriminating’ it is that the local store always keeps the ramen packets on the top shelf, and his daring audacity to not be there to get it for you. ( asking for help is so embarrassing! )
“are you even listening?” a pout embraces your features, an inner feeling deep in your chest telling you you’ve been talking to a wall this entire time. sukuna’s lips only curve upwards. “what, are you doubting me?”
“what if i am?” you retort. it’s not like you would blame him for not listening, you talk. a lot…. okay, maybe a petty part of you can blame him.
“first you were complaining about me ‘not loving you enough’. then complaining about the dull decorations in my home, now ramen—is this a dumb pattern, woman?”
you feel your cheeks heating up with every syllable escaping his mouth. yeah you complained, but that much? someone needs to get you an oscar, or whatever.
“oh my god you..” your eyelashes flutter. “you listen to everything i say?”
“what- no, i was just.. shut up woman.”
a sly smirk etches onto your face. “that’s so cute, you love me so much huh?” you poke teasingly, smirk only deepening at the way his face engulfs into a scowl. “i will no longer listen to your stupid ramblings.”
rest assured, he still made sure to react to all 27 voice messages you sent him.
THIS IS SOO COOL ‼️‼️

Giggling and kicking my feet rn
I want him
Sukuna's the type of boyfriend where you confess to him first and he acts like he knew all along. He didn't - and he does a major fistbump the moment you look away.
The type where he'll click his tongue at wherever you want to drag him during your date, then snatch your hand and take you there anyway.
The type where he lets you put on face masks and eyeliner on him to your hearts content - no matter how much says it's stupid, and he doesn't need that shit, anyway, you always catch him keeping it on.
The type to make you pretty bracelets - not buy, make. Picking out charms and colors he thinks you'd love and then thrusting it into your hands saying it "wasn't a big deal, anyway." But you catch that pretty blush on his cheeks.
The type that makes your coworkers slightly concerned when a towering, beefy man is waiting for you on his rugged motorbike. And they've got their fingers on the phone already, peering anxiously outside as you cling onto the very man with a tight hug. And only - only - when they catch him fastening on your helmet, oh-so-gently do they breathe out in relief, realizing that maybe he's just that type.

!!!- alternative history, not at all canon (of course), color coded for people who read fast or can't read at all.
(based on the latest artwork by @saterise, the one with a bleeding Geto holding up the phone to his face with Gojo's eye on the screen.)
He has been trapped since his creation in the 90's and keeps getting updated for use in undercover internet society today.
Was nearly taken down by an internet cult society that wanted to disrupt the social order of the undercover internet policing society- the Jujutsu Sorcerers of Online Peace (JSOP)
JSOP is a small unknown government organization that was created and based in Japan, but is extended thinly worldwide. It clears out or rather, "exorsizes" bugs, malware and worms from popular online sites, forums and the like.
Internet Key! Gojo is actually called the Six Eyes Eliminator Program. The programe, called Gojo for some odd reason, was made alongside other programs like itself- yet excelled in all aspects of online protection.
The second best program was called the Malware Manipulation and Demolisher Project, also coined the 'Geto Program'. The Geto Program was created to buffer the Eliminator Program should it go haywire- which it did do in it's earlier renditions.
The most impactful JSOP program to boot was the Dissector and Dismantling System. In the early days of the internet, hackers, online scammers and the like ran rampant on the internet. The DDS ran like water on a smooth hill from its first rendition. That was until sometime later, the creator of the system found a bug in it, the entire programme collapsed and became corrupted in under a day. Nearly $10B were lost in the week after, and what they started reporting in the following month was horrifying.
An identical copy of the system (or was it the corrupted DDS itself?) was being run through the dark web, snatching up more than portfolios, bank details, and until then, well kept secrets from a certain local internet police group. Hell it was even being used by hackers and malware subscribers to corrupt other people's devices and services.
Within 3.5 months, the corrupted DDS was vanquished- nicknamed the 'Worst Program in Existence'. It was repossessed by the JSOP and broken apart across the internet of Japan. (It didn't get broken apart worldwide because it would harm the integrity of the organization).
10 years after the termination of the DDS, the Gojo System, The Six Eyes Eliminator Program was created. There were some good bug destroying projects during that decade for sure, but the Gojo System was something else. Investors and government officials with insider information flocked to see what it could do; salivating at the idea of getting something to hide their discrepancies and horrible search histories.
The Internet Key! Gojo is used nonstop today, able to see and protect all types of networks and devices around the world. Currently- it trains and advises new types of technologies each year.

Im writing an expanded essay from my post about Love, Vulnerability and Blindfolds in jjk.
I need help answering these questions
Love
What is love?
How is love seen in (mainstream) society?
How is love thought of by allo people (people who're not a-spec)?
How is love thought of by a-spec people?
How is love represented in jjk?
What do the characters of jjk think of love?
What do they say about it?
Blindfolds
What is a blindfold?
What does it do?
How is it used?
Who wears them?
Why are they important?
Who do the characters of jjk associate blindfolds with?
Why is it/that character important?
Vulnerability
What does it mean to be vulnerable?
How does mainstream society see vulnerability?
Who seems to be (the most) vulnerable in society/jjk?
What does the protag/mento Gojo Satoru think of vulnerability?
What does Ryomen Sukuna think if vulnerability?
What does he do when faced with vulnerability?
Has he ever been vulnerable before?
Answer any and all questions youd like. I'm just gonna write an extended essay on the topic

Love
Vulnerability
Blind love
Love is blind
Justice is blind
Love is not Justice and v.v.
(Justice and Love are two sides of the same coin but this is a conversation for another day)
-
Justice is impartial
"Lady Justice wears a blindfold to represent impartial justice and everyday people close their eyes to shield themselves from reality"
-
Gojo is not Justice
Gojo is Jusitce
Gojo is not impartial- he uses a blindfold to create a physical barrier between himself and others.
Gojo wears a blindfold to keep his memory of Geto in
Gojo wears a blindfold like a mask; a personally built facade to keep others out
Gojo harbours immense and infinite cursed energy
Gojo harbors immense and infinite love
Gojo's birth caused a boom in cursed energy/spirits to appear
Geto was born to mitigate (swallow) all of it
Geto was born to cancel out the effects of Gojo's birth
Geton was born to accept Gojo's love
-
Gojo's immense and infinite love/cursed energy was meant for someone who is no longer with us;
He uses it sparringly
Basically never•
Few and far between•
Taking off the blindfold means to be vulnerable
Gojo has his blindfold off when he runs into Kenjaku (in his pov, it was Geto)
Gojo is vulnerable around Geto.
-
Vulnerability is a weakness
-
'Curses that work together in groups are weak'
Groups are weak
To Sukuna, Yuji making friends practically wherever he goes is a sign of weakness
But Yuji is strong
He subdues Sukuna for the greater part of the entire story
-
Yuji and his friends are strong together
There is strength in numbers
-
It's lonely at the top
It's lonely being the strongest
-
Love means to be vulnerable and compromise strength in lieu of compassion and connection
Sukuna tries to 'connect' but is pushed away when his methods don't work
Sukuna uses extreme violence to play with and 'connect' to others
Most individuals don't want to connect that way
Sukuna doesn't use Yuji's methids of connection because that goes against everything he stands for
-
Love is the worst curse of them all
-
Who will teach Sukuna love?
Sukuna does not need to be taught love;
He has no use for it
___ will teach ___ (Sukuna) love
Sukuna is the strongest sorcerer in history
Sukuna is the King if Curses
Sukuna is the King of Love
-
Sacrifices
-
In order to make one, you need to sacrifice something
How much has Sukuna sacrificed to become the strongest?
-
Binding Vows
-
Love means to make sacrifieces
Love means to make sacrifices
Love means to be vulnerable
Gojo sacrificed Geto (and his love) for the greater good (and for other obvious reason)
Gojo loved Geto
Gojo cannot stand out when paired with Geto
-
Hidden Inventory Arc (anime) - Gojo's eyes seem duller and less illustrious than usual,
-
Gojo stands out when Geto is not around
Gojo is The Strongest
The Strongest isn't vulnerable
Gojo is vulnerable with Geto
-
Sukuna believes vulnerablility is weak
Yuji wears his heart on his sleeve
-
Gojo closed his heart.away after Geto died
Gojo never puts down infinity again (with minor exceptions)
Gojo wears a blindfold to keep others out
Taking off the blindfold means to be vulnerable
-
Vulnerability is a weakness
-
*The suffix -utl, "Something and nothing at once, polar opposites existing simultaneously."*
Love-utl
-
Sukuna does not love
Sukuna hates Yuji
Gojo can love, chooses not to
-
Love is sacrifice
Sukuna doesn't love anyone but himself
Sukuna rejected and sacrificed his previous (human) identity for his cursed one
Sukuna loves himself
Gojo loves loved Geto
Goji is immensely fond of others (his students/close friends)
Yuji loves (pretty much) everyone
-
Gojo/Sukuna/Yuji is the strongest
-
1. Love is sacrifice
- Gojo sacrificed Geto; his love
- Sukuna sacrificed everything else; his humanity
- Yuji sacrificed his previous peaceful life so he could save more people in his sorcerer life
2. Love is vulnerability
- Gojo swore to never be vulnerable again; his love came back to bite him again in his adult years and he payed the price for it; love is weakness
- Sukuna is not vulnerable; it is a weakness; the weak should die
- Yuji is vulnerable with his friends and is always ready to use his compassion for the best outcome; Yuji is open with his companions
3. Love is the worst curse of them all
- Love took the only person that could accept him; Gojo rarely uses love anymore
- Sukuna is the King of Curses, therefore the King of Love by proxy; Sukuna hates love; doesn't need to be taught it; Sukuna hates Yuji
- Yuji harbors the King of Curses
- Yuji defeated the King of Love
-
Love is the worst curse of them all
-
Love is not a curse
Love is strength
There is strength in numbers
Groups- together, connection, vulnerability, sacrifice- are strength
Yuji is/has all of these
Yuji is strong
Yuji defeated the King of Curses
Yuji harbors immense love
Sukuna hates love
Sukuna hates Yuji
Love is the worst curse of them all
Yuji is the worst curse of them all
Yuji is strong
Love is strength
Love is vulnerable
Yuji is both,
Love-utl,
Yuji is love
Yuji is The Strongest

•"Basically never - few and far between":
I was making a reference to Gojo's infinity, how no one could ever get close to him. Fitting, no?
Modern!Nerd! Sukuna who's into creepy pasta and (early) internet horror and is weirdly extremely obsessed with Marble Hornets.
Like he puts together Halloween costumes of Ticci Toby, Eyeless Jack and Alex Kralie and somehow n o o n e gets the references??
He calls them stupid morons with no good interests but his big, nerdy, gremlin ass stays awake at night foaming at the mouth about Ben Drowned theories.
Like obsessed with Marble Hornets to the point that he tries to find the filming locations for some godforsaken reason to see if there are any clues but he can't figure out the locations because the videos were made in the late 2000s before the areas were developed.
Hell, just plain Nerd! Sukuna who gets reeaaaallly good grades but keeps them under the table because he needs to uphold an image of himself that big and bad and brutal but even though it would actually help if people also knew he could beat them with words he needs to think it was his own idea first.
Also he'e a jock I've just decided. He plays (American) football, Rugby and Hockey because they're pretty brutal and he does boxing/mma/martial arts on the side
How does he fit any of this shit in his schedule?
Fuck if I know!
Anyways that's it lmao bye
Hehehe I'm so glad I saw this when I diddd >:]]]]
Ty for replying to my ask, such deliciousness I had the biggest grin on my face lmao <<<3
Anyways, to add off of your transmasc geto hc's I want to give you mine. They're (not at all) loosely based off Hamilton, the musical, and I got idea to write about them when I did hc's for aroace transmasc Sukuna*.
They're a little less personally in-depth than yours but I feel like the vibe is the same. (I link it below for you <3)
*this one was based off the character analysis' by @thepersonperson
i saw that you posted (or reblogged tf if I remember) Geto w/ top surgery scars and now I want to hear you infodump to me about it because I'm all for this hc/au/crack crazy idea now
(I need to be asleep rn but idg2f's)
Youdont understand how insane I am about geto being trans. It makes sm sense 2 me with him constantly questioning his morality and allat is so me coded. As a trans person, u always gotta question why everything is, everything needs an answer. It's mostly 2 confirm and validate urself and the world around u. Another thing, didn't bro kill his parents? Js sayin....kinda a mood for trans characters.... even tho ik he ain't canonically trans I still think about it alot. I have alot of hc and ideas but for the most part I wanna keep em locked up for a fic I'm gonna write. Geto as a character is rply important 2 me, so I'll give him the highest honor I can bestow upon him
....
FAG SHIT.
Alr tho but on a real note, hcs i have relating 2 geto being trans is....
Geto had 2 work his ass of in his 1st year 2 rid of his dead name and being assigned 2 lady dorms and uniforms. The first person he told about being trans was yaga, and yaga being as based as he is helped him get reassigned 2 male and all things associated with it.
He's allowed 2 use male changing rooms and bathrooms no problem, but he still avoids using em at all costs. He changes in the men's room and not in the lockers, and he doesn't use the bathroom unless ABSOLUTELY NESSESARY.
He worked out alot alot 2 get the body he wanted, but I like 2 think that he's insecure about his waist being so snatched, so that's why he wears baggy pants. Best way 2 cover curves is baggy clothes and hard work.
Another thing
Gojo don't know he's trans. He's completely clueless. And yeah six eyes does alot and all that, but he can only see the flow of CE around the area and others. It's not like he has x ray vision and can see that geto don't have a dick. So, for the most part, geto is in the clear. Geto goes great lengths 2 avoid anything relating being shirtless or talking about his body when it comes 2 gojo. The 1st ine for obvious reasons and the second one in fear he'll say something that might give him away. He's clear since gojo doesn't have a lot of interest in working out or perving on people in the first place. It's not like gojo wants 2 see him naked or anything so yk.
Ofc at some point during 2nd year he told shoko about being trans only bc he forgot his pad and all the sudden it was THAT TIME OF THE MONTH. randomly in class it started but geto had totally forgot 2 prep and that he got periods in the first place. Shook didntcare and that didn't really suprised him, but he was still scared bc he thought "a pretty girl like shoko might be stuck up, and she's not one 2 soften up her opinion just because she's talking to a friend." (Objectively pretty girl = probably the most rude lady he'll ever face, and gojo also has this fear with women but times 10000)
I like 2 think that the higher ups are kinda bitches about the whole trans thing so they try and stop people from being able 2 have a smooth transition unless they have parental support. (Which for geto was awful but he alr had done all the shit before they started enforcing that rule. It didn't end up applying 2 him but it stressed him out a shit ton.)
He also prefers 2 deal with his injuries alone since it's easier for him 2 get undressed and deal with it himself without prying eyes. Gojo hates this since I like 2 think he wants 2 help geto with everything (in an annoying insufferable way).
Ok yap over lemme know if u wanna hear more hc. This is extremely unstructured yapping so none of this is in order dawg 🙏💀
What do you think? (I couldn't find the green/yellow peice of Geto's -Gojo Kesa-,,, (ToT))
I want to add more, thoughts?
transmasc aroace sukuna
Transmasc aroace Sukuna who doesn't need to be taught about love.
He knows what love is; it just doesn't serve him to to him, "Love is meaningless."
also I think that this can be doubled down with my headcanon that before he was a curse; he literally wasn't loved by anyone.
born in a world that wasn't ready to accept him and wouldn't love him anyways because he killed his mother with his birth
Transmasc Sukuna who gave himself the perfect body which coincidentally is the pinnacle of Jujutsu sorcery, he doesn't have to think about himself from before he was turned into a curse because now he's The Strongest Sorcerer (in History)
Transmasc Sukuna who decorates his body with thick black tattoos that many people find scary and taboo but he sees it as more of a 'fuck you' to tradition*
*(the people who killed him/the higher ups/the conservative fossils who couldn't find it in their hearts to even TRY to love him even if it would still be meaningless to him)
Transmasc aroace Sukuna who has kept one person with him throughout all the thousand years he's been a cursed object: Uraume
I believe since it hasn't, and it's not going to be explained in the manga/anime:
Uraume is his non-binary, aroace follower.
He keeps them around for a few reasons
1. Cooking: his favorite hobby is eating. It's good to have a personal chef on your side.
2. To do the tedious menial tasks that come with causing chaos everywhere. Not sure what they are specifically but I know they're there.
3. Uraume helps keep pests at bay. Telling them to fuck off and out of Sukuna's personal space when he feels the itch to get rid of an annoying eyesore.
4. Back-up fighter: self-explanatory

aroace sukuna aroace sukuna aroace sukuna aroace sukuna aroace sukuna aroace sukuna aroace sukuna aroace sukuna Guys this is the culmination of a bunch of headcanons running amuck in my brain and also the character analysis' from @thepersonperson
So now, here are my hc's for AroAce!Sukuna:
Legitimately prefers to not be touched and appreciates respect for personal space (round of applause for Uraume*)
Hobbies,:
1. Fighting - self explanatory: he hates being bored, he also uses fighting as a way to bond and learn about others
2. Eating - confirmed in the official fanbook(iirc): it doesn't matter if it's people or Oreos, he enjoys food
3. Analysing literature/opponents fighting habits - It's explained better and in more detail by @thepersonperson, but the main take-away is that Sukuna is like a shark; using exploratory 'bites' in order to gain knowledge about things- his opponents. He uses used dismantle to take apart, to dissect his opponents, to learn how they'll react and if they can match his freak, so to speak.
3.5. Going back to the literature point - seeing as in history, the Heian era is considered the peak of the Japanese imperial court, it's noted for it's refinement in art, poetry and literature.
He gets annoyed, disgusted, bored, and all of the above when someone hits on him, seeks him out romantically or tries to use/touch him physically.
See: Yorozu when she's withing a 1 mile radius of Sukuna, Mahito after touching his soul, Kenjaku's weird obsession with him that led to him jumping his twins bones for some reason
Again, as dutifully (<3) explained by the aforementioned Tumblr User, Sukuna expressed affection through violence. This is the only way he is able to connect with anyone he seems worth his time to fight.
Being a curse that is legitimately perfect when it comes to CE and CTs, he reaches out from the top to grasp some sort of worthy interaction:
an entire half year of prep to fight Gojo,
'playing' with Jogo and making an effort to fight with him on his terms,
finding interest and potential in Megumi,
a yap fest of unwarranted appraisal to Maki
and he was basically all grins and smiles when he fought each of these sorcerers.
*Star next to Uraume because I hc that they're Ace-spec as well.
Cuz who else is better at telling people you don't want to be bothered, touched or talked to other than you fanatic worshipper who understands your boundaries clear and concisely?
Tirade over, I'm going to sleep.

Me when: (check tags)
born to marry him, forced to read fanfics about him
the most beautiful ending was for sukuna (and uraume) because not only did we get a good afterlife scene of him going north for and with uraume but gege also showed in the epilogue how he was always destined to go north because he was always a chill guy and had depth, despite keeping an aloof demeanor. He took uraume and raised them like he was always meant to be an amazing father. What he did was a reaction to how he was treated but at the very core he always carried light. Ending the manga with "how did YOU not grow cold with me uraume?" to uraume's first "how are you not cold next to me sukuna-sama?" was the most beautiful way to describe their relationship, they both might have seemed cold to others but they were a source of warmth for each other, both of them kept the other intact in some way. Ride and die for eternity.
It reminds me of the quote, "when is a monster not a monster? Oh when you love it"
"....I don't understand..."
"Why is that even though Sukuna-sama is near me, he does not get cold?"
".....Ku-Ha"
"I could say the same goes for you, Uraume"
"Why did you not get cold being by my side?"
The projection of Gege's self-hatred onto his favorite character.
---The hardest battle you'll ever fight, is against yourself---
And thus, Yuji will strive to separate (Cut like Sukuna) his opponents BUT from their "evil" and direct his energy only towards this "evil," which is the opposite of a Sukuna's self-hatred power ,Yuji can be viewed as a mirror reflecting Sukuna's twisted power of love.
Therefore, the first chapter essentially, by title, reflects Yuuji and Sukuna
Sukuna's statement that "only the strong are loved" ("strong" can be of different kinds)takes on a particular significance: he attracts love through his strength , highlighting his main conflict reflected in his relationship with Yuji. For Yuji, strength and violence are alien; his essence is permeated with kindness. As a result, Sukuna feels his vulnerability, realizing that his achievements hold no value in Yuji's eyes. Experiencing self-hatred, he understands that while Yuji is simply kind to people, his love can be obtained "just like that," whereas towards Sukuna, Yuji harbors disdain, which is painful, as Sukuna has become strong out of a desire to receive love.
"Thus, he became strong because he realized that they loved strength, while he himself was weak. From this, he concluded that by being strong, he would receive love and respect simply for his existence as strong, and he would no longer feel weak. Therefore, his desire for love lost its significance, as only the weak needed it. Now his primary strength became his "love". And this means that using this strength towards himself and others can be compared to its application on the battlefield, where it is used to defeat the enemy. Thus, those who seek love from him will be destroyed, because all he has and who he is, is strength. Without it, he is nothing. "This implies that he cannot be loved because only the strong are loved". Thus, this expresses contempt for weakness, as the weak rely on "love" and connections, while he, being strong, does not need these connections, leading to rejection of both self-love and everything associated with it, and therefore, it is an expression of hatred.
The application of force (hatred) even towards oneself, towards one's weakness - the human side.
Thus, the application of force towards oneself and one's weakness in this context becomes a manifestation of contempt for the human side and dependence on love. This path can be interpreted as an extreme way to achieve self-assurance, which, nevertheless, cuts off from love and leads to hatred towards both oneself and the surrounding world.
This contradiction is manifested in the irony of the situation: a person becomes strong in his desire to rid himself of his weakness and dependence on love, but as a result, he becomes consumed by hatred, both towards himself and towards the surrounding world.
This desire is expressed through the denial of the human side, the refusal to accept one's weaknesses and dependence on love. This leads to strength becoming the main attribute of personality, while human connections and emotions, such as love, are rejected as unnecessary and even harmful.
Thus, the application of force towards oneself and one's weakness, as well as the denial of love and dependence on it, create a cycle of self-destruction and hatred towards oneself and the surrounding world. This can be interpreted as a path that, although aimed at achieving self-assurance, ultimately leads to isolation and spiritual destruction.
("twisted love ") his curse and power "kitchen"- (10 bulls Buddhism- you can read in wiki ) - he literally kills (eats) the “bull” "human" his own self constantly, so there are a lot of their skulls inside him - his own , and he sits on the throne of them, his essences, believing that he has “surpassed” himself - the human nature
"Sukuna is surrounded by the remnants of his failed attempts to transcend his ego, symbolized by the "skulls" of his former selves."
maybe this is part of the “vow” of constantly fighting (eating) within yourself
Like the seals on his shoulders - circles
Sukuna is the strongest because he suffers the most, hates himself and experiences an internal conflict that generates cursed energy.
Anger (rage, aggression, a sense of vengeance, disgust) is represented in the image of a snake. The snake typically slithers away when approached by a human or attacks them. Similarly, a person seeks to eliminate an irritating object from their field of perception, either by avoiding it or destroying it. This is similar to his behavior and avoidance of Yuji - the epitome of absolution - kindness, because he unconsciously experiences disgust – the truth.
The Rooster is a symbol of passion, as it is both the owner of a harem and capable of finding a tiny grain in the grass and dust – exactly what it needs; just as passion keenly selects its object of desire from the multitude presented. This can be compared to how Sukuna chooses his opponents.
Ignorance (neglect, stupidity, laziness, foolishness) is represented in the image of a pig. The pig eats everything indiscriminately, unable to discern between good and bad, fortunate and unfortunate due to its lack of understanding. Incidentally, the pig is the only animal unable to lift its head to the sun. However, Sukuna usually regards others disdainfully from top to bottom, like a large pig, experiencing "foolishness" because he has confined himself within the pigsty of his own convictions.
Perhaps not intentionally, but symbolically, Yuji's head is at the level of his heart.
In other words, the cursed energy spawns a concentration circle of hatred , trapping individuals in an endless cycle of conflict,a cycle of samsara- in which people remain fighting with another person with their emotions. - mostly hatred
This could be seen as a vow or a struggle to overcome one's own limitations , by constantly confronting and consuming aspects of the self.
"You weren't merely defeated by external forces, but by your own internal strife—your perpetual disdain for your human side." your downfall stemmed from your own internal contradictions, which morphed into a binding oath (all his seals on his body literally seal a person in him). Your disdain for humanity, extending even to yourself, became both your strength and your curse, corroding your soul from within (gestures toward the mask).
(the mask) Much like Tengen, embodies a constructive "emptiness" that exists harmoniously with the world, at peace with people. However, Sukuna's "emptiness" is purely literal, representing a detachment from humanity, a void of sorts.
You've lost all sense of purpose, consumed by self-loathing to the point of utter emptiness.
he is his strength - and if he loses, he "strength "will die, which means to him that he is nothing(because "I" = strength ),( which everything) he can feel , towards "him " is hate, emptiness ,insignificance - nothing - cant take "love". nothing is nothing - so it his - corpse paradoxically there cannot be “love”, because only the “strong” are loved.
It's as if he can't even comprehend the idea of being loved or valued without his strength. Without it, he feel like a mere shell of himself, devoid of purpose or meaning. - corpse
his "manhtra "
His strength defines him, and should he lose it, his very essence will wither away, leaving him feeling like nothing.-(which everything to him.) Because in his eyes, strength equals identity, and without it, he is left hollow, consumed by feelings of worthlessness and self-loathing.
To him, strength is everything, and without it, he feels empty and insignificant. He's trapped in a mindset where only the strong are valued or capable of receiving love, leaving him unable to grasp the concept of being cherished for anything other than his strength. Without this defining trait, he fears becoming a mere shadow of himself, devoid of purpose and meaning—a walking corpse. His mantra revolves around the idea that his strength is synonymous with his identity; losing it would strip away everything that makes him who he is, leaving behind only a hollow shell consumed by feelings of worthlessness and self-doubt.
This fear of worthlessness drives him to cling desperately to his strength, as he sees it as the only thing protecting him from a profound sense of misery and insignificance. It's not so much a fear of death that motivates him, but a fear of experiencing the emptiness and smallness he associates with weakness.
So when he talks to Yuji he projects
You are my special
"Get lost in me" - "Become me."
I wanna feel your heatwave - Break down.
I love you, baby - I hate you
because you don't yield to me, to my strength
A world spinning in ambiguity - on the other hand, if Yuji does not give in, then Sukuna loses his “power” - himself and his hatred,"And will make him feel (1 )'loven'."- (This means that Yuji literally robs him of his purpose - his strength - himself - his self-loathing.)
(1 )This suggests that Sukuna's identity is closely tied to his ability to dominate others, especially Yuji. If Yuji resists, Sukuna not only loses his power and sense of self but also his profound self-hatred, leaving him vulnerable to experiencing an unfamiliar emotion—love. In essence, losing control and self-hatred allows Sukuna to explore a more vulnerable side of himself.
You are my special
"Even if the meaning is not correct, the fact is that they mirror to each other."
He wants to prove that his own existence and self-hatred are justified.
Sukuna conducts " a series of trials " before Yuji, aiming to prove to him that his purity of soul is not the basis of his strength. He expresses the belief that the source of strength lies in the ability to be cruel and hateful rather than kind. In his worldview, strength arises from self-loathing and denial, while love and compassion are seen as manifestations of weakness.
Sukuna seeks to affirm his beliefs through these trials and sufferings. He desires to break Yuji, to bring him down to his own level of hatred, in order to confirm his own existence and self-hatred. For him, pure strength becomes a symbol of his self-loathing - his own "self." He seeks to reinforce this hatred through Yuji, who, in his opinion, is excessively pure and capable of loving others unconditionally, which, in his view, renders his strength useless and undermines his own existence.
Overall, Sukuna's character is driven by a complex interplay of fear and a desperate need for validation through the lens of strength and self-loathing.
SURVIVAL
"You're so weak yet you cling to life?"
CHILD "I"- lack of strength" - weak and misery- unwanted , rejected, unloved, insignificant, unimportant, nothing, profound sense of emptiness and smallness.- DEATH
"You should spend your lives stifling (EATING)your misery. "
(Sukuna -Child - Yuji)
It seems to me that here it is being said that a brother or another close person can replace a parent in terms of providing love and understanding "self", as well as becoming a reliable support for the individual.
Perhaps previously he believed that self-love was meaningless (although he assumed this applied to others as well), but after encountering Yugi's soul, he realized that love, akin to dedication to an ideal, gains significance as it can transcend death and become something eternal, which is the true meaning. This enlightenment proved more significant than Sukuna's physical prowess, piercing his self-perception for the first time and shaking him to the core.
As the only thing he had been doing was killing time to die.
From the expression on his face in these two frames, there is a similarity: when it comes to love, he appears irritated, but this time he felt it - the love - and experienced pain, for the first time in a long while.
Sukuna, as the most powerful being, has moved away from the notion that his strength guarantees victory. Now it's more of a shadow of an ideal—meaning himself as well, because Sukuna possesses only power—a symbol of relentless personal resilience that he finds in Yuji. He has realized that without this strength, he is devoid of purpose, and in his pursuit of it, he has lost everything, including himself and his inner content. While in Yuji, lacking this power, his eyes shine like a beacon of humanity the love he needed—an ideal that transcends himself, through the idea of protecting others, akin to Prometheus his kindness. This irritates Sukuna and casts doubt on his own existence.
The deal is that Sukuna, regarded as the "strongest " was bored and annoyed with Yuji because his strength was based on something Sukuna could never understand or accept—the true essence of love.
Love, as a force and a tool, is immeasurable except through the sacrifice of those who gave their lives for the ideals of higher humanity—those whom Sukuna could not understand and whom he killed in his pursuit of "strength" and acts of violence deemed "supreme" beyond human nature.
Only after meeting Yuji did Sukuna gain insight, and his transformation can be characterized as a (2 )manifestation of love. Because he begins to "understand" other aspects of human existence, such as compassion, selflessness, and the ideals of higher humanity. In this context, his insight and change are perceived as manifestations of (2 ) love—understanding and accepting these human qualities that he previously could not comprehend or acknowledge.
The (1 ) first follows from the (2) second, but Sukuna hasn't understood it yet, he has only feel it.
Sukuna has long lost the battle against his own hatred, mired in feelings of anger and jealousy. These emotions only fill him with disappointment and rage, fueling his desire to seek ways to cause pain and damage solely to destroy Yuji and undermine his faith
The acknowledgment that his kindness - love is genuine and unconditional seems incomprehensible to him, as if he's afraid to admit that such a thing is possible - because he was not loved and had no one. and that means he didn’t need anyone to satisfy him
Short version
He remembers his yearning for love during childhood, seeing it as a symbol of vulnerability and lack of significance. Regarding dependence on someone "stronger" as a weakness, he holds the belief that seeking affection and connections is characteristic only of the weak.
As a child, Sukuna often felt vulnerable due to his weaknesses, which made him feel chained to his flaws. This prevented him from truly loving himself and others, and he believed that only the strong deserved love, attention, and respect. Sukuna realized that true strength lies not in seeking love, but in giving it to others. However, he saw this gesture as a weakness and chose to demonstrate his strength through hatred instead of love. In battles, he "gave" his "strength " - "love "to others as a form of victory, judging the weak (including himself) as deserving of destruction. Sukuna rejected the concept of love as a dependency for the weak and meaningless for the strong. He avoids using names because he sees his past (weak) self in others, particularly Yuji, and despises himself for it.
In the past, Sukuna often felt vulnerable because of his weaknesses. It created the impression that he was shackled by a chain linking him to his flaws. This hindered him from truly "loving" himself and others, experiencing compassion ..? huh. He believed that only the strong deserved love, attention, and respect, and without strength, he was nothing.
That's why Sukuna realized that true strength lies not in the pursuit of love, but in being able to "give" it to others. He concluded that such a gesture is something only the weak need. Therefore, he decided to resort to another way of demonstrating his "strength"—using it as a tool of hatred instead of love.
Here, he seems to be contemplating a reflection that doesn't actually exist, only its silhouette - in the present, or, to be more precise, he sees himself in Yuji - in the past.
I wonder that this drop falls in Sukuna's domain, isn't it?
Sukuna began "giving" his "strength" to others in battles, seeing it as his version of "love"—an act of victory, where he acts as the judge of the battle, where the weak (Sukuna)are destroyed. And he decided to abandon the concept of love, considering it a dependency meant only for the weak and meaningless (now he's above "love" ,he is not a child, a parallel with Yuji and his treatment of him is disdainful-he recognizes himself in him)for the strong.
So he refrains from using his name because he sees himself (specifically, his past self as a child) in him - and despises himself.
Sukuna regarded strength as the sole indicator of success, and it became his driving force, but, like fuel, it only fed his inner hunger, the desire for self-destruction, rather than self?-love. He replaced strength with a sense of his former insignificance. Even being the most powerful, he couldn't stop and didn't find satisfaction, destroying himself, killing his "self" in the process, which ultimately led him to emptiness. - But the fact is that this emptiness is not of a Buddhist nature, not grounding, but self-eating
In the depths of Yuji, there is something that I am sure will turn out to be his hidden power : the ability to transform internal negative emotions into a manifestation of faith in goodness. He will not just suppress these emotions but actively engage in a struggle with them. Yuji uses hatred as a sort of weapon against hatred itself—like fighting fire with fire. He will begin to see "more than he" the idea of hatred as an inner enemy present in each of us, reflected in his own personality, in Sukuna, and in the personalities of those around him.
And thus, Yuji will strive to separate (Cut like Sukuna) his opponents from their "evil" and direct his energy only towards this "evil," which is the opposite of a Sukuna's self-hatred power ,Yuji can be viewed as a mirror reflecting Sukuna's twisted power of love.
So, Yuji will be fighting the "curse" of hatred—hence the title of the series, "Jujutsu Kaisen."
In literal translation of "呪術廻戦" (Jujutsu Kaisen) into English, it can be interpreted as "Battle Against the Curse."
"呪術" (Jujutsu) translates as "magic" or "spell," and can also indicate "curse" or "sinister forces."
The absence of parental love can create a profound void in childhood, leading to a deficiency in emotional support which, in turn, contributes to negative self-perception and attitudes toward oneself and the world. This deficiency often manifests as low self-esteem, self-hatred, and behavioral issues such as aggression or depression. Jacques Lacan's concept of the "mirror" provides insight into how parental relationships sculpt a child's self-perception and psychological development.
It is intriguing to observe how Yuji and Sukuna mirror each other's behaviors.
Identification and emulation: Individuals who lack parental figures may seek to emulate others who resonate with them or serve as role models. This behavior often stems from a desire to comprehend how to appear, feel, and act based on observed traits in others.
Search for emotional connection: People who lacked parental figures or did not receive adequate emotional connection during childhood often strive for intimate relationships with individuals who can fulfill this emotional void.
It's worth noting that characters may not fit perfectly into any one personality type due to their complexity and fantastical nature.
Yuji's identity is deeply intertwined with television. Gege's narrative underscores that he "grew up on television," suggesting that this medium became a surrogate for parental figures and filled the emotional void in his life. His enthusiasm for parodies and karaoke, venues where he could interact with others, reflects his ambiguous sense of individuality, likely influenced by television as his primary source of inspiration and behavioral model. Additionally, his emotionally reserved grandfather deprived him of necessary support during childhood. - if unfounded then Yuji INFJ -INFJs are known as chameleons, adapting to different situations. This clarifies why Yuuji excels in collaborative combat and absorbs lessons from others—he's like a sponge.
Sukuna's depiction as a petulant child reflects emotional immaturity and egocentrism commonly associated with unresolved childhood traumas or deficiencies in parental nurturing. His reactions and demeanor echo characteristics typical of children: egocentrism, emotional volatility, rebellion, and disobedience. His unpredictable behavior mirrors the emotional turbulence of a child grappling with feelings of abandonment or neglect, particularly evident in situations beyond his control or comprehension. - if unfounded then Sukuna INTJ

INTJ: "Your natural stands as an enigma within my ordered world. Yet, I find myself drawn to this anomaly, stirring within me something beyond rational comprehension. This connection, however unconventional, holds a fascination that I cannot ignore."
One feels the other thinks - but they are one -connection between Yuji and Sukuna, suggesting that despite their apparent differences, there is a symbiotic relationship between them. This mean that they influence each other in profound ways, with Yuji's emotional sensitivity complementing Sukuna's strategic thinking, or vice versa. It indicates that their identities are intertwined on a fundamental level, even though they may manifest differently in terms of behavior and personality.
Nevertheless, Sukuna experiences a transformative moment when he acknowledges and embraces the profound love emanating from Yuji. This revelation serves as a form of "enlightenment" or "rebirth," illuminating a path within the darkness of his existence. This is the first time Sukuna encounters unconditional love. For him, it signifies liberation from hidden motives, such as the desire to use others in his childish power games ("me versus you," "who's superior," etc.), simply to kill time. Now, he avoids manipulations he once considered normal but which Yuji interprets as a craving for attention. Yuji doesn't value "power," leading Sukuna to the paradoxical conclusion that he's unloved - the only thing he ever desired. He realizes his past actions were merely theatrics, where he played the leading role, but now, meeting Yuji, everything changes. Yuji doesn't engage in this game, refusing to succumb to the spectacle of death for emptiness' sake. This moment underscores parental resilience, selfless guidance, and dedication to the greater good.
This realization is especially poignant following Sukuna's unsuccessful attempts to break Yuji. Yuji's unwavering loyalty and resilience, directed not towards himself, exemplify a depth of love Sukuna has never encountered. Sukuna's inability to avert his gaze from Yuji, despite the accompanying anguish, underscores his inner turmoil. This revelation challenges his preconceived notions, exposes internal conflicts, and highlights emotional vacancy, reflecting the difficulty he faces in embracing newfound emotions and comprehending the true essence of love and loyalty.
“you don’t believe that sex is the most intimate thing that two can do together?” you repeat sukuna’s previous words with a raised eyebrow, skepticism lacing every word you spoke.
“i had concubines before i was devoted to you. do you really think i see intercourse as something significant?” he doesn’t even spare you a glance, all four of his eyes focused on carefully peeling the fruits resting in the bowl in front of him (mangoes, to be specific. a special order he put in with uraume for you). your eyes narrow at his words.
“so you don’t see intercourse with me as something significant?” that earns you a roll of his eyes.
“i don’t recall those words leaving my lips, woman.” he glances at you with a bored look, already much too used to your antics and the nonsensical conclusions you often pulled from his words (“it’s called reading in between the lines, ryo.” you had insisted. he chose not to debate you on it).
he sighs when you go silent, seemingly waiting for an explanation from him that would fix the small pout gracing your lips. he would’ve let you sulk if you were anybody else, but you weren’t.
“i realize the significance humans place on it now that i am yours, but i partook in the act purely for pleasure before you. it was simply to fulfill my fleshly desires.” he doesn’t need to look at you to know that the frown on your face still hasn’t faltered. in fact, the displeased look on your face probably only deepened upon the mention of him being intimate with other women.
“human customs are foolish, that will never change.” his hand lifts to your lips, a cube of mango held delicately between his fingers. he continues speaking only after feeding you the fruit.
“but if my stubborn little wife sees it as something of importance, then it shall be so.” he says the last part with a sense of finality, as if it was a part of his life that he accepted a long, long time ago.
you contemplate his words for a moment, your posture easing against the lavish pillows of your shared bed. you stall on swallowing the piece of fruit on your tongue, considering a question in that ever curious mind of yours.
“what’s significant to you, ryo?”
he pauses for a brief moment but doesn’t answer, simply bringing another piece of fruit up to your lips (whether the action was out of care or to keep your mouth occupied was unclear).
his lack of an answer was as good of an answer as any, though.
this was significant to him. the way he cut and fed you soft fruit with hands that had slaughtered armies, handling you as if you were made of fine china. never yelling, never arguing.
the king of curses devoted himself to you because deep in his heart he acknowledged his subservience to you.
that is what’s significant to him.
