I think I forget to mention in my character sheet for Grian but he has a dripping purple heart over his actual heart. It's a Watcher ranking thing.

Headcanon/Au rant:
Scar loses the good memories from each life series [Good memories are more powerful, so Watchers tend to go after them more than bad memories.] as a deal with a Watcher so he can keep being Grian's soulmate. And that deal goes until he wins a series than he gets all his memories back.
Said Watcher is Grian and Grian keeps Scar's good memories safe with him for when Scar wins. And when he does win he gives Scar his memories back and the choice to keep being his soulmate. Ofc Scar keeps loving Grian despite only having bad memories of him, Just bc he can't remember any of the good memories he made with Grian in the past, doesn't mean he isn't still drawn towards Grian. At first he wasn't sure why but it clicked in pretty quickly that he loved him despite everything. And he always ends up choosing to be Grian's soulmate in the next Life Series.
Scar also gained the ability to be able to see Watcher eyes after he won and got all his memories back. So he can see all of Grian's dorky eyes when Grian uses his Watcher powers. [yes, he knows Grian watches him when he works, he finds it amusing.]

Using my attempts to figure out a cute chibi style as a way to draw more Scarian fanart lmao-

And Scar gets all kinds of excited whenever Grian talks to him. [it's like a pair of little kids crushing on each other. lol] Especially when Grian, unknowingly, gives him advice on ways to improve his writing.
Everyone else in the bookshop thinks it's adorable that they both are clearly crushing on each other. Mumbo just wants them to get together already. [Mumbo owns the Bookshop]

And Grian has fallen head over heels for the book version of Scar[mainly wildlife Scar], not realizing that the book version of Scar is the author's/Scar's persona and that the author always adds a version of Grian into the series as a symbol of his love for him. 'Real Life' Scar and Grian both work in the same bookshop but bc Grian tends to work front desk/check out and Scar works in the back cleaning books and unpacking them, they don't really talk much. But Scar has a massive crush on Grian. Grian's actually Scar's biggest fan, tho he doesn't know Scar is the author of his favorite series, and when Scar & Grian do talk, during their breaks, it tends to be Grian telling Scar about his favorite author's series and it makes Scar really happy to hear that Grian enjoys his writing so much. Grian just hates how the book version of Scar always ends up dying before he can get to tell the book version of Grian that he loves him. Scar finds Grian's rambling and ranting adorable and wishes he had the courage to ask Grian if he would want to meet up outside of work to talk.
Each of the life series are split into 5 books and Wildlife [the latest, and the last one for this au] is only 3 books away from being complete and Grian's worried that his favorite character will have another bad ending. But Scar plans to have his book version and Grian's book version get together at the end of the 5th book. He's hoping even if Grian rejects his confession that he'll at least let his book version finally get the man he's wanted for so long. But luckily for Scar, The only reason Grian actually fell for the book version of Scar is bc it reminds him so much of the actual Scar. So when Scar confesses, he confesses by giving Grian an early copy of the 5th Wildlife book with a note asking Grian if he'll go out with his favorite author, Which causes Grian to finally put the dots together and get really [adorably] excited and say yes.
[And that's all I have figured out for this au so far. I *MIGHT* write a whole story about this once I finish my other story but I'm not sure when that'll be since I've got three chapters left on my other story and i'm having major motivation problems with writing. So for now you guys will just get some adorable art for it instead.]

The shading for the wings covers a lot of the nice shading I did on Scar so here's a version that doesn't have that;
It looks more complete with the wing shading but I like it without the wing shading more I think. Plus you can see his shoes better in this one and I love how I drew his shoes, lmao

Grian and Scar Wild life session 7 spoilers‼️
The fact the Scar followed Grian around pretty much all session. When Grian died the first time, Scar was the only one nearby who noticed, Gem and Cleo didn’t say anything until Scar said that Grian died. Then Scar immediately went to go find Grian at spawn. The G died again and what does Scar do?? FIND GRIAN. Later into the session, Scar couldn’t find Jimmy or Lizzie and he stared talking about how keeping alliances is hard, even though the Bamboozlers are a pretty reliable bunch, they have each others backs but Scar thinks that their alliance is weak? Or hard to keep?? To me it seems like ever since Grian gave him the mace he’s been distant to the Bamboozlers, not so noticeable that they question his allegiance but just enough that they aren’t together all the time like they were earlier in the season. The fact that Scar is gravitating to Grian is interesting, considering that they were mortal enemies a few episodes ago. When ever they work together one of them(Scar) ends up hurting and the other(Grian) alone. And yet, they still gravitate to each other like the Moon to the Ocean.

Scar was also successful in killing people that one thing Grian just couldn’t manage to do. I mean Scar got, what? 4 kills this session?? Grian got 1? 2 maybe, I just thought this was funny. ((Also Scar offering to kill people for Grian TWICE!?!? I’m losing my mind)
I am loving the Desert Duo healing arc, but I am going to sob when they eventually kill each other towards the end.
Grian screaming traitor at Mumbo and Skizz after they killed him just….Grian never left that desert and neither did I.
