Yes, I'm adding a (not really) secret third option because of the potential for a really awkard but funny, story they'd eventually have to talk about.
I need this for a couple of drabbles that may or may not develope into something larger...
so, i finally fell in for it and doodled both wukong and macaque— mind you, i am NOT in the monkie kid fandom though i have watched all the episodes for a very dear friend of me who has hyperventilated over it
LOOK IT MAY NOT BE PERFECT BUT BE KIND TO ME, THIS IS MY FIRST TIME DRAWING THESE GUYS AAAND they were actually very fun! yahoo!

Macaque's theatre
Sorry if somebody had that theory before me or if I made some grammar mistakes.
What if I told you Macaque mostly renovated the abandoned building that we saw in the Calabash?
Both of those have similar structure, red columns with yellow decorations, wire go above the roof in the same way but the piece of cloth changed to purple, more spiky pillars, and have green tile.
Inside of the theatre there are a lot of space, so he made two more grandstand on the left and right side along with a longer stage to be closer to the audience.
Also behind the benches changed a bit because now it has doors both of the side, one of them (in the picture the right one) lead to the buffet and the other is the exit. I think maybe the entrance's place is still in the middle.
Unfortunately he isn't finished it yet. The walls have some cracks, holes on the ceiling, and torned fabrics are hanging.
About the enviroment, between the Calabash and the Shadow play episodes a loads of fight happened in the city which had a bunch of damage so he probably protect the place to not get destroyed and this is why the buildings next to this have been changed but the theatre isn't.
If all of this true then how he did it? Did he do this all by himself or had some kind of help, like Yin and Jin or somebody else? How much time did he spent on renovating? Did he buy the materials with his payment doing outside of the construction some plays (I mean on the street) or simply stole? As we know Macaque, he possibly used some tricks to make it his own property.

So I’ve been getting into journey to the west (Jttw) since I really enjoy the Lego Monkie kid series, and I noticed two things about the character the six eared macaque.
1 - some people said him and Sun Wukong were brothers. As far as I can tell there not at least not in Jttw, and in Monkie kid there sworn brothers.
2 - Macaque is not in the original Jttw as frequently as I expected, in fact he was there for only a brief time before getting killed. But there is a possibility he is the Macaque King (one of the seven fraternal sages) an ally Sun Wukong made early in the story.
In Lego Monkie kid Im pretty sure the seven fraternal sages are are Wukongs sworn brothers, since Demon bull king (DBK) is one of the seven fraternal brothers. I was wondering why in jttw it didn’t connect the macaque king and the six eared macaque and there are two options. 1 there different characters or 2 that it’s an inconsistency, the second options fairly likely since there are quite a few instances in jttw where if you think to hard the story doesn’t make sense.
Anyway Jttw is a fun read and if your looking for an easier way to absorb some of jttw, I’d suggest checking out an overly Saracastic production’s videos on YouTube.
Why lmk fandom is so obsessed with Macaque and SWK height? Its such a trivial thing and not important for the show

Soooo, I discover this show like two(2) or three(3) weeks ago ! I'm absolutly in love !
It was really hard to choose a favorite character but my heart finally leaned towards Macaque ! (Technically Mei too but her hair is an absolute nightmare for me to draw)

s cool to see that maq used to wear his hanfu folded over the normal way in flashbacks before his death,
and only started wearing it the opposite way, the way corpses are dressed, after he died and was revived
Remember when i did a Eagle!reader with Macaque.
Yeah this is them in Monkie kid universe. The previos on was mine own desighn of Macaque from Monkey King 2009. And reader is on her human descise to guard Macaque cuz sometimes he gets killed :)
Plus she is his big sis.
