everything is a reference. and i mean EVERYTHING, so here is a list of everyday things i associate with my favorite charas / ships / fandoms- i want you, YES YOU, to guess what their connection is (keep in mind, some may seem fairly obvious):
rats, snow, russia, ushankas, cellos (string instruments in general), literally anything white or purple, fish (mackerels especially), bandages, trench coats, bolo ties, suicide, slugs, small things, red tattoos, waistcoats, gravity, dress shoes, doughnuts, bicycle wheels (im so sorry if you understand this), glasses, raccoons, dogs, birds (doves), dolls, anything medical . . . .

Remember when Yae Miko used the traveler as her transportation device to the plain of euthymia to be abel to meet with Ei? Such a Dazai move for real!
But in case ya'll are wondering about where that idea came from, I read a fanfic a while ago that had Dazai and Chuuya as Yae Miko and Ei and this exact thing popped up in my head and I had to scratch the itch. That being said, I really did enjoy modifing the designs so that they can match the bsd folks and it's so much fun drawing them like that so you can expect more in the future.

Okay, so Chuuya needs reading glasses but he decided to switch to contacts sometime after SB and usually only uses his glasses at home. Which is fine and works out great.
Except Chuuya needed to wear the vampire contacts at Meursault. And he didn’t bring glasses with him out of habit. He can’t read anything.
The red contacts already made it hard to see in general but he can’t read anything while wearing them (the only consolation he had was that he also couldn’t see Fyodor’s smug face when he thought he controlled him). Then afterward he’s shoving his face close to his phone and squinting to try to see if he’s gotten any news about Yokohama while trying to also text anyone he can to speed up their extraction.
Dazai, trying to hack computers to contact Ango: You know you can make the print bigger so it’s easier to read, right?
Chuuya, also a total grandpa when it comes to phones: I can what?
Huh… Considering how much Dazai was looking forward to this, something might be amiss.
If his number’s not working, do you have any other ADA numbers that you could call to check on him?

Imagine an AU where everyone saw in black & white until they met their soulmate, then they saw colors for the first time.
Cue Dazai being kicked into a wall & upon opening his eyes the first colors he sees are within flaming red hair & piercing bright blue eyes. A green jacket hugging the kids figure as his foot remains planted on Dazai’s chest.
Chuuya sees stark white bandages across one eye and beneath an ill fitting white dress shirt. Dark chocolate colored locks. One honey brown iris with flecks of maroon shining in the sunlight. A black coat lying beneath him.
They both freeze for a moment, staring intently at each other, eyes blowing wide at colors they've never seen before.
Then they make eye contact, holding it for one beat, then two.
Then slowly it dawns on them what this means and, of course, their expressions move from awe to irritation. They bicker immediately, neither of them willing to give into fate.
Chuuya scoffs. "Oh fuck no, no way my *soulmate* is some shitty kid from the fucking mafia."
"How eloquent. As if such a tiny, brutish *slug* could ever be *my* soulmate." Dazai mocks in return.
Bonus points if the colors fade when they’re not together, until they accept they’re soulmates that is.
