speaking of age gaps, I love the idea Slade took Dick's virginity at 16/17 in an alternate universe where he already was with the Teen Titans but Slade was less hostile. And a decade later, Bruce finds out and goes batshir insane. Like he tracks down Slade to the other side of the globe to interrogate him, because he's PERSUADED Slade raped Dick and that THIS was the reason Dick left Bruce and Gotham for New York and the Teen Titans. Slade's reaction is basically:

But goes along because despite having ended his affair with Dick on a not so good note (they got together secretly when Dick was in his mid-twenties; he's now in his early thirties), he still loves him. He doesn't know what Bruce has possibly done to Dick, so he figures making himself the monster Batman thinks he is will keep the kid safe.

Dick is in fact unaware of everything until he learns from his sources that Deathstroke is possibly in the US governement's possession.

Slade would be such a little shit about it. He absolutely originally fucked Dick to piss people off but then was like o h n o feelings.

Slade disappears for about two weeks Dick is forced to go and find him because goddamn it Slade he was looking forward to that vacation. Turns out Bruce was keeping him in blackgate and straight up torturing him. Dick loses his shit and rips the collar off of Slade neck. He has never been so angry at Bruce before. Slade can barely stand but the way he grips Dicks hip and grins at Bruce makes it all worth it.
