I’ve got a bit of artblock, so I’m wondering..
Junicorn post halfway through the month lol- Northern Unicorn species from my fantasy world. It’s a relative of deer. Hope u like!
I’m brainstorming a few concepts for a potential dwarf race in my spec bio fantasy world
IK ITS LIKE THE SECOND LAST DAY OF MERMAY BUT HERE YOU GO
these are some mermaids from my unnamed spec bio world💪
enjoy
I literally have sepsis lmao 😭 but here’s more snailiens for you guys
I keep tweaking the species design oh well. Anyway the pink guy is an oc. I don’t no what to name him so I’ve been calling him Yobbo. Feel free to draw em or create ocs I’d love to see em
Question about the snailiens, have they developed any textiles? If so, what are they made from?
Apologies for such a delayed response to your question!
Snailiens typically don't wear fabric clothing in their daily lives, except for special occasions. Instead, they utilize a native plant called 'brush kelp' that they weave into cloth for ceremonial banners and other purposes. Additionally, they have a writing system akin to quipu, where they knot together strands of brush kelp with beads to convey information and record their history.
What’s the purpose of the wing-like structures on the side of this creature’s head?
sorry for the late reply to this question! the last few days have been unexpectedly busy and I haven’t had the time to respond until now 😓 I’ll do my best to respond to other asks asap
I’ll likely add some more info and detail to this once I have the time to do so :)
back at it again with wips 🫡
chronic illness has been kicking my ass as of late so I’ve been struggling to finish any art. hopefully this’ll do in the mean time. I’m not sure if I’ll finish it or not but here you go nerds ✨ have this lil’ dinosaur alien guy holding a carved bone knife
ps: thanks for all the recent interactions with my posts. it truely makes my day and fuels me to strive to create more. I can’t express how much I appreciate it :)
I started this a while ago, but entirely forgot this existed so it was never finished or posted unfortunately :/
It’s one of the “snailiens” painting details on a temple. The artwork above him depicts a snailien below a glyph of the sun.
Anywho, thank you all so much for all the love on my previous posts. I truely appreciate every interaction with my art :))
Consider yourself booped 🤷
✨ the little alien dudes return ✨
here’s one showing off his newly-carved artwork. he is very proud. the image depicts the symbol of the sun with extending rays over an egg sac- it symbolises fertility and such
and I also sketched a bit to show how the tool is made
another unnamed alien species 💪
Little doodle of a new alien species I’ve been working on!
Hopefully I’ll have some more stuff to post abt these guys soon ;)
Little alien worm design I did ages ago and forgot to post— whoops
Leviathan IV’s northern saltmarshes
Grassland plants of the northern islands.
Found primarily in the central regions of Laphestis and Troistis, these plants play important roles in the ecosystem, providing both food and shelter to their inhabitants.
The Epirrin (singular. Epirro) are a sapient, semi-aquatic species native to the salt marshes of Leviathan IV. They are omnivores, their diet mainly consisting of small aquatic vertebrates, which they use their prehensile, spear-like tail to catch.
Some plants from the marshes of my speculative biology world-building project
yes this is the doodle I did yesterday turned digital. why? because I wanted to make myself suffer/j I liked it
also taking the time to yap part 2 ( THIS IS A LONG ONE )
I think this would probably take place near a blood pump station near an iterators general system bus. since blood isn't needed around the whole structure like water is neither is a heart needed, they already have three!! so it's simply pumped around the general system bus. speaking of
the general system bus is probably the most interesting in terms of my iterator can headcannons and how systems work,
it doesn't do much on its own, but is vitality important, infact THE MOST important for an iterator to be functioning.
one of its secondary functions ( don't ask why I'm going over it's secondary function first smh ) is holding an iterators personality. having it being encoded deeply within the flesh of an iterator can.
an interesting thing about this is that an iterator isn't 'born' with its personality, they 'grow' it after booting up! like how our world children grow their personality.
it's often quite uncanny for other iterators to interact with newly created ones because, well, they have no personality yet! it's important to treat them well though cuz everything that happens to them during their younger years will impact them MUCH more than it will if they experienced it later in their life
the last thing, the general system bus's MAIN function is basically a manager of everything, it keeps systems working together and synced. it also kind of works as the iterstor's 'consciousness '. I don't really have better ways of explaining it all lol
also apologies for spelling mistakes I was typing fast sigh,, I tried to find them all.
YAP SESSION
I've always loved the idea of iterstor's being more fleshy than what we see, so I drew some stuff about it, although the last three are more unrelated,
I imagine most of the iterators can iiss just metal, BUT there are specific areas near the general system bus that would be fleshy, like inside the walls of the puppet chamber and the inside the walls of the room holding the puppet chamber too, even the puppet itself!
due to this, these areas require normal blood to keep alive. This is what you see in the first drawing!!
I have SO many headcannons on what does what inside iterator cans, but I'm afraid those are probably for another post 🙏 as I've already yapped enough here
also sorry for any messed up perspective I drew all of this free hand lol
for starters, I think vultures are actually pretty intelligent, definitely not intelligent as maybe a slugcat or scavenger, but maybe similar to a crow's intelligence?
they probably served as like organic waste disposal, being fed the dying, dead, or just no longer useful purposed organisms. a behaviour that led to them being scavengers, like our real-world vultures.
for king vultures it was probably the same, just for more tougher and heavier organisms.
and as for their mask, I think they're simply just secreted from the skin of their face, still able to be removed though ( this would be the worst case scenario for a vulture though, as their mask signals a vultures rank )
also a fun thing to think about is that they like shiny things.. from when their previous diet required for them to break open metal boxes to eat. ik a lot of things are shiny and metallic, but it's still a funny idea
