Peter discovers Jackson Wang parties are multiversal
crack fic idea: Spidey in Gotham trope x the infamous Jackson Wang party scene
Tim and Duke drag Peter to a party one of their classmates is hosting and Peter's asks “who's hosting” and Tim/Duke say “Jackson” and Peter's like “huh I've never met him before” and he goes in the house and does a double take before realising “…JACKSON WANG?!” and it's revealed that Peter has read Spiderman fanfiction that people have written about him back home in the MCU universe where the fanfiction version of Spiderman has been to many a Jackson Wang party and he's flabbergasted that in this universe the fanfiction trope has become true

if i was actively seeking excruciating mental pain and a lot of snotty crying in theaters, i would have recommended they make stephen, while making the spell for people to forget peter, have an unusual bout of uncertain and stilted speech and say something along the lines of "he didn't make me promise to--but tony would have--wanted me to keep you... he wouldn't have wanted..." and for peter to smile bitterly and shrug a little and say "well. tony--i guess it doesn't really matter any more." everything else can stay and everything else goes as it does in canon.
but of course i am not actively seeking any more excruciating mental pain and snotty sobbing than the movie already gifted me

i decided i'm doing my final project in my english class on the 1994 Spider-Man show seasons 1-4 (because 5 looks like a nightmare rn) and oh my god i just made stat docs for citing and all that and what the fuck i know the show is chaotic but also there's so much happening

Mutant Peter Parker
I don't know if it's already a thing or if someone has already come up with it but I always thought it would be interesting if it turned out that Peter had the x-gene and that the spider bite simply triggered it.
Maybe Peter had dormant mutant powers but because his body was so frail, they never manifested. Then the spider bit him and while the spider bite normally would have killed the person (it was genetically modified and/or radioactive after all), Peter's mutation simply absorbed the genetic material.
His original mutant power was going to be his spider-sense, the ability to sense danger before it happened, but the spider bite twisted his already unsteady x-gene to give him additional powers.
I dunno, just thought it was a neat idea.
