because when it comes down to it dean doesnt treat sam like a brother instead he takes on the role of a parent without meaning to because he was literally forced to raise sam when they were growing up, and he can't let go of that mindset.
multiple times in the show he says shit like "you're not a kid anymore, you can take care of yourself" but he still takes care of sam anyway because it's what he's been doing his entire life. sam was venting about not having a mom or dad around during holidays but you wanna know who was there DEAN WAS THERE DEAN SET UP THE CHRISTMAS DECOR AND GOT GIFTS BC JOHN ABANDONED THEM ever since they were young john made dean promise he'd protect sam no matter what to the point where dean sold his SOUL for sam "they're codependent!" NO DEAN JUST TREATS SAM LIKE HE'S HIS SON

i think dean would be more giddy over the fact that him and cas are best friends than if they were in a relationship.
like they are laying together on the bed, cas is on his phone and dean just randomly turns to him and asks “hey, i’m your bestfriend, right?” and cas just gives him a look wondering if he’s serious and he is. and cas goes a little soft and says “yes, dean.” and dean lights up and smiles and shuffles closer and just says “awesome” in that little whimsy voice like he can’t believe it. and for the next ten minutes is like “you’re my best friend too. like, ever. you’re my best friend, cas.” and all cas does is smile and mumbles “yes, dean. i know, dean.” and keeps holding him.
How am I supposed to tell my mother that I'm not smiling over a conversation with a hypothetical boyfriend but over a fanfiction about a stupid hunter and his stupid angel ?

WELL
I haven't quite met crowley yet, tho I assume I must this season, and I'm actually pretty excited for that
I've seen quite a few edits of him, and from what I can tell I love his character
For my fav character, it's a really hard choice, but I'm gonna go with Dean, because as much as I love Cas and Sam, I've "known" Dean longer than Castiel and Dean is just more me (??) Than Sam is (love Sam tho, I love Sam and Dean's dynamic too)
And for least favorite, I honestly have no clue
I mean, (while typing this) part of me wants to go "oh, Zachariah is my least fav" but even that's not true, even he is charming in some way (sure, not very nice how he's trying to push Dean into saying yes to Micheal, but he's an angel and for an angel he does seem more "tame" so to say, he may have tried to push Dean by breaking Sam's legs, taking Sam's lungs and giving Dean stage 4 stomach cancer, but Cas showed up so it's all good now)
I'd also mention Ruby, because like, I'd say she's my least fav, but at the same time I think her character is actually pretty cool (was untill Dean stabbed her with the demon blade-)
Sure, she made Sam addicted to Demon Blood, but even Sam doesn't blame her for it (end of episode 2, season 5), and I actually really enjoyed the complexity of her character, the way I did clock her as "she's gonna do smth bad" but still kept me sorta hesitant to believe it, I just think that's really cool
Long story short, I don't have a least favorite
Except maybe Becky.
I don't like Becky.
But anyway, ily too <3 and I really enjoyed answering this ask, actually, so tysm for sending it in!!
