About that Subnautica au you've made last year ago,,, i wanna hear what you have in mind for the au bcause im intrigued /nf
so, basically. The au is a thought I had. What if levitations could combine with humans. And that’s how the au was born. Trey is a reaper leviahuman.
holy shit look who i spotted at Pride
Can someone get me the sound that your tool makes when it runs out of battery in subnautica? Below zero or the first one, I think they’re the same.
Boy oh boy do I love drawing from memory
Hyperfixations are such a blessing and a curse. It’ll give you so much motivation to do stuff, but then you to take a nap and can’t stop thinking about how much you love a specific bug
I hope I can make art like you someday, you’re such a huge inspiration to me :)
Hi! I’ve been a big fan of yours for a while. I first found your work through subnautica below zero- as I love creature art and theoretical evolution, and wanted to see more! It started as an adoration for subnautica, but I fell in love with your birrin project! I’m so happy I found your work and love scrolling through this page every once in a while. What made you so interested in this kind of stuff? And what are your favorite types of inspiration for creatures/plants to go off of?
I am drawn to marine worms, comb jellies and crustaceans I think for inspiration, as well as chelicerates of all forms.
New subnautica challenge! Every time your pda reminds you to drink water you also have to! For the love of god drink some water for once!
Should I make a tour of my subnautica base? It’s very pretty if I do say so myself.
AU where Alterra finds robin before she can make al-an a body and everyone just thinks she talks to herself ever since she got back from 4546b because she was lonely
I’ve been getting back into subnautica recently after hearing there’s gonna be a new game soon!and remembered I never finished below zero, I wanted to continue where I left off but realized, I have no idea where I am, or where anything is. So I decided to just start a new game. I haven’t played in years. A lot changed! Even the opening was different. It’s so fun and I’ve already gotten so far. Anyway, I wanted to show you guys some tips I learned!
SPOILERS BELOW CUT
#1
The first tools you should invest in getting with any subnautica game, are your scanner, an oxygen tank, and flippers.
#2
Seaglide fragments are found all around you at the beginning of the game!
#4
Mineral scanners are NOT useless! If you don’t know what things are in the area, or if you’re even in the right area, it works great! I have a hard time finding the thing I’m tracking even if it’s beeping so fast it sounds like it’s going to explode… but that’s where the next tip comes in handy!
#3
Invest in getting a gravity trap! they’re way more useful than you think! If you’re trying to find food, or bladder fish, just pop a gravity trap in an area and leave it there! It will pull in small creatures
#3 and a half
If you’re using your mineral detector and can’t find the thing even when it says you’re practically inside of it, just throw a gravity trap, it will find it for you! Makes collecting minerals go a lot faster.
#4
If you pin a recipe and hang out with sea monkeys, they will sometimes bring you the ingredients you need! I built my house in a place with lots of them and they have saved me a lot of long trips.
FRAGMENT LOCATIONS
(The mineral detector can find fragments as well)
-Seatruck fragments
Seatruck fragments are honestly found all across the map, but a lot of them I’ve found were in the twisty bridges and deep twisty bridges biome
-Laser cutter, repair tool, seaglide, etc.
Sea monkey nests have lots of fragment parts attached to them, and just around the whole area, there are many nest locations and usually tons of oxygen plants inside. They will also sometimes have random minerals inside of the nests.
-Builder tool
If you go to the delta station, there is LOTS of stuff to be scanned, outside of the nearest building will be a tool that you can scan.
-Prawn suit
They prawn suit fragments are EVERYWHERE at the koppa mining site, I would recommend you get the seatruck MK3 depth module, and a much better oxygen tank, there’s a couple entrances and one of them you’re not able to bring your seatruck in with you, I would definitely suggest looking up a tutorial on how to get there because it’s extremely tricky.
-Prawn suit drilling arm
Also in the same spot the prawn suit fragments are found.
-Prawn suit propulsion arm/torpedo arm
Down in the crystal caves, you’ll need the MK3 depth module and I highly recommend getting the storage module as well
HI THERE FELLOW WHATEVER SPECIES YOU GUYS ARE AND WELCOME TO MY TUMBLR ACCOUNT! As my name suggests, yes, i will indeed be posting alien bullshit. I enjoy animating and want to get better at it. (BONUS I WILL ALSO BE POSTING MY PETS AND PLANTS CUZ WHY NOT?!) This is a chill zone, so enjoy!
Finding the most terryfying alien planet as your comfort place < 3
My fav alien fish (I hate it so much <333)
context: The Stalker fish often steals camera-drones to play with.
I re-play subnautica and geez this guy can't cook!! No wonder he's infected so easily if all he eats are depressed microwaved fish and occasional raw potatoes! Guhhh man, all that tehnology and you cant do better??
Anyway, I dungeoned my meshi untill I cooked the aliens >:}
learning some animations basics by practicing BEATING THE HELL OUTTA that advertisement and fish being fish.
Gifs with lower quality should act normal and sharp on a computer, they just very tiny and tublr don't have a good spyglass to see them so it's blurry. They here because I like to use mini gifs like sort of emoji on various sites.
I FINALLY got to play through Below Zero and the Precursors (Architects?) give me SUCH Animorphs vibes.
I mean the Andalites resemblance is obvious -- they’re telepathic deer centaurs with no mouths, and have a part of a tail and horns that resemble the tail and eye stalks of Andalites. They also have a really interesting connection to nature that reminds me of some of the Andalite culture we got to see, especially in The Andalite Chronicles where we got to see the Andalite homeworld.
And then there’s some resemblance to the Arn (the creators of the Hork-Bajir) in their mastery of genetic engineering -- just the comments from Al-An and scannables talking about how the Precursor’s original form was swapped out for something better over the millennia, a combination of DNA from all sorts of different creatures to make them as efficient and useful as possible.
AND OF COURSE how could I neglect to mention my very favorite most Animorphs species the Ketran? I wish we got to see more of them, I really do, they’re so cool. But anyways, even if the Network as Al-An describes it is way, way more involved than the Ketran Uninet (it gives me very vague Control Brain vibes from Invader Zim, lol), I immediately thought back to the Uninet -- especially like, in the cases where Ketran are memming each other and all. And the Ketran naming system where they have their assigned names, chosen names, and gamer tags -- I wonder how individuality works to Architects. Al-An can clearly distinguish himself from others and even went against the Network at one point, but also comments how interconnected Architects are, being able to sense each other, etc. etc., so I wonder if they have the concepts of names/pronouns since we kind of just assign both to Al-An on our own?
In short I have THOUGHTS and I am now going to reread the Ellimist Chronicles goodnight
