I've just now found out about the pokemon teraleak and some of these scrapped pokemon are just too cute

Drew this quickly in school but felt like sharing it anyways :]

Big fan of this beta theme. The anger and intensity isn't there, but it's still incredibly evocative. It kind of stumbles forward, wobbly and unstable. This Ghetsis is visibly much less There. The body and mind of this Ghetsis are hanging onto each other by a thread. It's not that he actively wants to kill you as he does in BW2, it's just that your death is an inevitable outcome of this interaction. He's a ghost. He's a zombie. He's beyond saving. He's full kubrick stare mode here. I don't know. I like it a lot, even if it doesn't match the final version of Ghetsis.

It leaked that the game freak devs working on Pokemon X and Y put born this way by Lady Gaga in the game code to test the audio and it's fucking killing me 💀 like I knew they were Gaga stans bc Elesa's design is inspired by her but this is so funny

Dude, the concept of pokemon having disturbing folklore is really cool (even if it could never be shown in-game for OBVIOUS reasons)! It makes a lot of sense in lore since pokemon were once feared in the past, so of course there would be stories which evoke that fear people had, albeit in a more depraved way, since those stories exist in real world folklore (especially in yokai)

but like most pokemon fans are not mature enough for that sadly :(
