Well, I’ve decided to make the next combo avatar an adopt! This means they will be available for purchase. I’ll decide once fully finished but the price will likely be between $30-$40 based on the time and complexity of the design. Once again, this will be a poll. So…

If I did adopts or commissions specifically of Magnus Archives related things, would yall be interested? (Think avatars and creatures based on the fears. A few examples below)

The new combo avatar is complete! Say hello to Theater, the combination of the Stranger and the Hunt!

This charming fella was once an archeologist and anthropologist for the British Museum. While on an excavation, he discovered a wolf mask and decided to study it. What he did not know was this particular mask was the product of a Stranger avatar when they stole the flesh from a Hunt avatar. Both fears ended up melding into the mask and he became corrupted by it.

Now, he is known as an abomination by all avatars. He hunts down his prey using the masks, acting as a master of disguise. Each prey becomes another mask. He takes on the form as well as a bit of the personality of the mask he wears. Though…when he started hunting other avatars, that changed things.

Now, he can use aspects of the avatar’s abilities in his hunting. Different styles for different avatars. He does not become an avatar for the fears of the masks, but he can use some of their power and fighting style. So far, the fears he has masks of are the Dark, the Slaughter, and the Corruption.

He is not to be trifled with.

Been a while since I’ve done this so…what fears should I combine into an avatar? Top two will be chosen to be mixed. I’m going to take off the fears that have already been used. So far we’ve had:

- Vast/Spiral

- Vast/Buried

- Flesh/Dark

The Hunt (7/15) “Ringing Bell”

This is a creature of the Hunt, but it is not something that hunts, but instead feeds on predators, turning their fear against them. This creature is categorized by its ability to mimic the appearance and noises of a lamb and can be found anywhere livestock are common. This creature does not often feed on human fear and actually primarily feeds on the fear of predators like hawks, wolfs, mountain lions, or coyotes. Its main tactic is to lure predators in. It stands in open fields and mimics the cries of a lost, injured lamb. Once a predator is close enough, it changes tactics and chase down the predator, capturing and killing them, feasting on their body. However, just because it usually feeds on the fear of animals, does not mean it doesn’t go after human hunters as well. Legends are often told between farmers of hearing the cries of a lamb with the soft ringing of a bell off in the distance. They warn of never following the noise because you either come back afraid or in a body bag. Poachers usually fall into the later. Anything that hunts it becomes fair game.

The hunter becomes the hunted.

Recently did a very fun art trade/collab with @unfairlyfallen ! We finished each other’s sketches, doing Oliver Banks and Gerry Keay. I sketched Gerry and finished their Oliver! I’m rather pleased with how our styles mixed! (Their sketch under the cut).

The Spiral (6/15) “Laughing Dog”

I’m finally restarting this series and starting strong with this spiral good (bad) boy! I’m much happier with my creature design now.

The Laughing Dog is a creature of the spiral that finds its home in old, winding buildings. Its laugh can be heard for miles and is alluring to the curious. Once within the building, its laugh can be heard echoing through the hallways but its main hunting tactic? It’s stretching body. Its midsection can stretch VERY FAR, making it appear as though there are multiple creatures you can see peaking around corners. If you come up on its tail, you turn to run and are suddenly faced with its mouth. You can’t escape it. As soon as you look into its mouth, you are paralyzed with fear and that’s when it devours you.

Some season 3 profiles practice I drew while listening. I still haven't looked at much fanart because I do not want to be spoiled so these are just what they look like in my head going from their voices. My buddy said he thinks Melanie has a bob haircut and I agree tbh she would fuck up a Bob.

I really hate coloring things in but I wasn't as unhappy with Jon as the rest of them so I left him. I love green so it's probably just that lol

Idk what these lads look like and I'm not looking it up because I REFUSE to be spoiled. I just based John (Jon?) off of that one drawing of him with the fisher price tape recorder my buddy sent me. Martin just looks like that to me. I usually always draw the spirals in eyes but in my head he has black eyes like a shark :> (Martin they could never make me hate you). I got past the episode where the police lady said John and Tim have scars? So I added them. Rip worms on the face. They're not in the "Martin are you a ghost" thing cuz I guess him and Tim got them in their fight out of the catacombs when they were separated from Martin? Idk I'm not going to look at anything till I finish cuz I wanna go through one thing without being spoiled for once
