i found it very interesting that Jon always read all the statements with such feeling to them, like why whould someone that doesn't believe in the supernatural would read those things as more than a fiction novel?
and then BANG i'm getting punched with the reality that not only he BELIEVES the things that are said in those statements but that also he's SCARED that something might take him if he ever so little shows his belief into what's written

Character guide for keeping track of names
So what exactly is The Magnus Archives?
Fundamentally, itâs a horror anthology podcast. The central conceit is that our protagonist is an archivist and each episode he makes an audio recording of a written statement that someone has made about their encounter with the paranormal. This format means that the particular flavour of horror can vary wildly from episode to episode.
But what about The Plot?
It may not seem like it at first but thereâs a lot going on. Donât worry about it though, you donât have to keep meticulous notes to understand things. The characters spend plenty of time trying to figure things out and you can just take that journey with them. However, if youâre into cork-boards and red string, then absolutely, this is a great podcast for that. But youâre not gonna have a worse experience if you just want to sit back and get spooked.
And Jonathan Sims?
That would be our protagonist, his voice actor, and the showâs writer. Yes, it gets confusing at times. Itâs not set in stone but people often use Jon, John, Jonathan or the archivist to refer to the character while Jonny refers to the real person.
New Episodes?
Nope, it was planned to run for 5 seasons and then it ended. However, there is a prequel/sequel/âsidequelâ in the form of The Magnus Protocol.

the fears aren't fears anymore they're just levels of stupidity now. having body image issues? lemme put a scalpel to my eye! there's a weird spooky building that got burned down? sure thing let's go explore! someone mysteriously sent me movie tickets for an unknown film even tho i never gave out my address? sounds like a lucky break to me!

I lied put your clothes back on, weâre going to talk about how Martin was never meant for the Lonely. He was forced into it by the middle of season two- season three because NotSasha wasnât interacting with the gang and Tim became angry at anything involved in the institute and Jon went missing. Thus accidentally isolating him and because of Martinâs nature as a pessimist trying to romanticize his life, he was taken by the lonely. Same vibes as all your friends being depressed and youâre trying to keep them happy. He was meant for the Web but working for Peter Lucas solidified his fate
Interesting that the first time we hear Sashaâs voice is also when weâre first introduced to the stranger
