quick FamilyEcho of the werewolves, who infects who and when, because I can never remember all of them off the top of my head
blue boxes are unavoidable, pink boxes are dependant on player choices
I checked the wiki and every bit of ending text I could find, so I'm fairly confident these are all correct, but feel free to say something if you see an error
fun things I realised while making this:
Abi is the only counsellor who is guaranteed to be cured if she gets infected
not counting individual QTEs, Dylan has the most opportunities to be infected, two of which are caused by his hand being bitten
Caleb has the most guaranteed infections, while Silas has the most potential infections
Dylan and Kaitlyn are the only counsellors who can be infected by Silas, meaning they would be the only ones still infected if Caleb died and Laura failed to kill Silas
it would be impossible to get an ending with everyone infected, as Abi will always be cured and Ryan cannot survive without killing Chris, curing everyone Chris infected
Dylan can be infected again after losing his hand, but it will not grow back. this is either because he doesn't stay infected long enough to turn, or maybe werewolf regeneration simply isn't strong enough
Dylan is the only counsellor who can be infected twice in the same playthrough, and also the only one who can be infected by the same werewolf at different times
if Jacob is infected, he can actually survive having his head crushed in a bear trap
an infected Kaitlyn can survive being crushed by a storage container
Nick is the only counsellor who can infect an NPC, that being Bobby, however Bobby will always amputate his finger to prevent infection
Laura, Max and Emma are the only counsellors who can infect other counsellors
Max is only counsellor guaranteed to infect someone, and the only counsellor who can potentially infect multiple people
Abi, Dylan, Ryan and Kaitlyn can never kill anyone while in werewolf form. Abi and Ryan are cured too soon, Kaitlyn is infected too late, and Dylan seemingly stays in/near the scrapyard after turning
Emma and Dylan are the only counsellors who can be infected by more than one werewolf, meaning they're also the only ones who can turn at various times
Dylan will only turn in-game if infected in Chapter 5, meaning Emma is the only one who can turn at various times during the game
Ryan is the only counsellor whose survival is dependent on being infected. infection can save multiple characters from various failed QTEs, but Ryan is the only one guaranteed to die unless infected
Laura is the only werewolf that can potentially infect someone while still in human form, and consequently the only one who can infect someone with consent
if Dylan and Kaitlyn are not infected by Silas, every character could hypothetically be cured by killing only Caleb. unfortunately this wouldn't work in-game, as Kaylee always dies, Chris can only die before Caleb, and surviving the Hackett House forces Ryan and Laura to confront Silas
by the same logic, the main conflict could be over as early as Chapter 3 if Caleb were caught or killed
of course Dylan's tattoo is a fucking wolf
he called there being something suspicious about Chris, he's hyper-aware they're living through a horror movie, he's the first to figure out you need to amputate to avoid infection
the man's a walking augury, of course his tattoo is a wolf
any chance of there being clean versions of Abi and Dylan's tattoos in the textures?
it kinda sucks bc the textures get cut off when the skin is covered by clothing but this is the best i could get for both of them! abi's tattoo
dylan's tattoo
hope this little bit helps! wish i could get more but this is all that exists sadly.
words: 1503 ♡ WARNING, DUBIOUS NON CON, READER DIES.
It would be a miracle if you didn't need extensive therapy after this night since summer camp was about to end with a literal bang. You were also sure of almost two things, one: that you are hopelessly in love with a jerk, and two: you've definitely been tramuatised in one way or another.
The moon has never shined so bright as tonight, silver light piercing through treetops and ample bushes, reflecting off rooftops and revealing a good amount of the surrounding woods.
Laying together on the ground with a special friend, one of your fellow camp counsellors, underneath the woodwork ceiling of a cabin that you and the guys found. You wished this could've been romantic.
Today was supposed to be the day you and everyone got ready and all packed to go back home, until the car engine spluttered and malfunctioned. A blessing in the moment but in hindsight, you should've been more alert when joining the others in a party without supervision.
This was supposed to be the last day at Hackett's Quarry and it was suppose to be the most fun. Though 'fun' wouldn't be the word you'll use to describe the sudden turn of events when nightfall came.
"You smell so good. . ." Nick pressed his sharp nose into your exposed shoulder, urgently breathing in deeply as if your scent was the precious air he needed. His arm was immobile though seemingly slacked around your waist, you tried (key word here: tried) your best to slowly maneuver from his grasp and when that didn't work you just gave up resigned to be his body-pillow.
Nick terrified you. No doubt he must've known too, or sensed it by the look of that teasing smirk on his face. "Heh- I knew it. . . you never liked me, do you?" Internally you gawked at whatever had led him into thinking that, you felt a gut-feeling you didn't want to know. He literally has you caged between the cold floor and the heavy weight of his arm.
You took a small pause before carefully answering, "I-I do. Nick, really, do you think I would be spending my last summer with someone I didn't care about? I—"
You grew even more flustered, not noticing his arm tightening the tiniest bit around your waist, scorching your skin. Or was it just the warmth from the heater lantern getting to you, it was a highly probable reason.
It helped to imagine his soft eyes that would always calm you down are solely staring at the back of your head. Not realizing he was silently tracking your every movement, from the slightest twitch of discomfort at his grip, the fast heaving of your chest and the dip of the shadows inbetween, he listened to your body-language before your own words. "—like you more than you think. . . ."
His fingernails skimmed across the soft flesh of your belly as if savoring the experience and feeling you up, you tensed for a second underneath your tank-top, he continued exploring without much needed encouragement. "So soft. You're so soft, you know that? Easy enough to slice though and rip out all your insides. . ."
He was in more or less words, so hostile, creepy in his unsettling remarks. You swore it was like he had sensitive hearing when he kept staring intensely after you muttered something about something you didn't mean to. He lashed out at you, berating you at every chance he got in whispers for what felt like an eternity.
It was mind-numbing but you endured it, for the sake of a possibility of "us." After all, he was your friend first and foremost. So you laid beside him slowly, as he watched with a strange intense gaze, you kept your eyes on him too but with concern mostly.
"I'll be here for you, Nick." You say reassuringly before accidentally dozing off to the sound of his breathing.
-------
That night you had the strangest dream involving an unconventionally dressed fortune-teller and you usually never remember clear details from any dreams, or ones that made actual sense up until now.
"Hello there my friend. Welcome to my humble abode," greeted cheerfully, an old woman.
"Good to see you are alive... I'm here to help you. Think of me as a guiding hand who helps from time to time."
She sat directly across from you, her lanky fingers folded over a wooden tabletop and a typical black crystal ball tht you'd see in psychic shows was set on your right, pale lit candles and animal-bones dangled in the background as the trinket filled room was barely illuminated in yellowed lantern-light.
Suddenly you felt a cold breeze that shouldn't be possible in such an enclosed space. The woman continued staring into your eyes although didn't seem to notice your discomfort at the close proximity as she moved on quickly.
"Be warned and remember: The curse prompts the victim into displaying their true emotions in that time... True feelings are surfacing."
As if pitying your predicament her cryptic words were spoken so solemnly, and sensible enough to make an interpretation out of yet vague enough to be ungraspable by your mind. What curse was she even talking about?
"I'd like to show you some visions. Would that be alright?" The woman asked, lips sucked in, a keenness in her unreadable gaze.
You indifferently shrug but ultimately nodded, "yes. Please, Madame." At your confirmation, the crystal ball beside you glowed instantly and images began to appear in the cloudy swirls. It all went by so fast, a flash of Nick's bloody face close-up and his naked chest rubbing against someone's, the shocking screams of your friends and an unmoving bleeding body that looked eerily similar to yours. . .
The images disappeared as quickly as they came, and you could only breathe hard, staring into your distressed reflection in the black ball. What the hell did those things even mean?! Was Nick dying? Are we all in danger?
You didn't get to think more as the woman interrupted your internal monologue. "Sometimes... life gives you every choice, that's how you get tricked into doing a terrible decision when it is made an option. Beware and be cautious." With that, everything faded to black while the mysterious old woman looked grim towards you.
"Pitiful child, oh just like my..."
------
You don't hear anymore, until you woke up, body pressed against another, next to the sound of harsh labourish breathing and a warm breath fanning your face. "Awake now, huh." Nick's face vaguely could be made out in the lantern light, his eyes glaring into yours as if fighting an internal conflict.
It was then you realized
where his hands were, the icy cold touch alerting you, roaming around underneath your sweater and squeezing at your flesh. "N-Nick, what are you doin—" Your whispered words barely were out before he grabbed your body, moving you closer to his with abnormal strength.
Keeping you there confined in his trembling embrace, his face dipping in the crook of your collarbone making you wince in surprise, your skin getting hit with his shakey hot breath.
Was he always this strong? His body felt like a boulder, his arms a prison to even try resisting, It was impossible to find any wiggle room or budge. Your heart pounded even louder than the thunderous rain outside.
Nick finally speaks, his voice muffled by your neck. "Don't move... I need you not to." You felt a blush spreading across your cheeks, suddenly the heaviness of his hold on you wasn't that bad. Until he said this.
"If you know what's good for you. You won't try to escape," your blood ran cold at the underlining threat. Nick would never... Say these things. He must be under so much stress to be saying these things, that thought helped soothe your nerves while knowing your other friends were also nearby incase...
Of what? Of that vision coming true? Surely it wouldn't happen, yeah, it wouldn't. Even as you felt the tiniest lick of Nick's wet tongue on your skin, the growing tension in his body as he presses against you, his hands tracing the outline of your bra. There's no way he's in danger, you were going to make sure of that.
You returned Nick's embrace, hoping to show that you were genuinely there for him and to warm him up. This must've pleased him in some way as he nuzzled his face further into your neck, making you slightly aware of how vulnerable and helpless you are to him. And he knew.
You never thought it was you who was in danger until the night grew on, and you were left alone on the cabin floor, blood pooling underneath you. He came back though, for you. Clawed hands and heaving steps, you knew it was him, it had to be. With a gentle swoop of his arms, you lost all of your senses as you stared up into the monstrous face of the one you love.
He held you tightly until dawn.

😤👍Had this in my drafts for afew days, finished it!!! ♡♡♡ love the quarry games! This is just a random x reader I made, hope yall enjoy!!! Bless yall
The fact my love to Dylan makes me see him in Bojan adds +100 to my yet beloved Slovenia
And I want to get know if there is anyone else who likes The Quarry and watches Eurovision simultaneously
When the hyperfixation gets so bad you start building locations in roblox bloxburg
I know a lot of stuff was scrapped due to Covid-19 getting in the way, but there's always potential for a remake (I can only hope)
Making the two save options ACTUALLY let you save Max/Nick. The only thing we get from that are different dialogue lines.
Number 1 is also a reason why we should add character relationships and traits back. Don't get me wrong, I like the pause menu for The Quarry, I think it's super unique, but there's plenty of space to add relationships and traits back in. That's what made Until Dawn so unique, especially when you do a deep dive on character traits changing with your dialogue options. (like for example, Mike's honesty goes down when he tries to comfort Jess).
I also think more options in the game that would change characters fates in different chapters would give a larger variety of story. Like for example; instead of Max getting infected, it's Laura whose infected and Max has to go out and kill Chris. Instead of Jacob getting captured, we have Emma captured. Instead of Nick getting infected, we have Abi infected. This would definitely give more characters some screen time and from someone who thinks characters in a story bring everything together, would allow people to select characters they like in order to give them more screen time over other characters they may not like as much. (It's sort like watching a horror movie but not being invested in what happens to a character you don't like).
Change chapter 8. From someone who has replayed the game several times in order to get 100%, I found chapter 8 to be the most boring and repetitive out of every single chapter. I understand why they made the chapter that way to explain what happened to Laura and Max, I just don't like the execution of it. Especially when we've been following 7 other characters for 7 chapters and now we're focusing on 2 characters we haven't seen since the prologue.
Removing plot armour from Ryan, Laura and Kaitlyn. These three characters can only die at the very end of the game, which sucks, since I really don't care for Ryan or Laura. I know they're fixing that with Mike and Sam in the new Until Dawn remake, allowing them to die earlier, rather than at the very end of the game. (And I know Chris is also getting an alternate death that is a chapter earlier).
When they first announced The Quarry, they said that each character would have several ways to die in the game, which obviously, was not the case. More danger would definitely up the risk factor of the game.
Adding additional scenes for those infected after the curse has been broken. For the characters who have the ability to turn into a werewolf post-curse breaking is; Max, Emma, Nick and Dylan. BUT, we only get Max and Emma scenes. I would've loved to see Nick appear again and be super disorientated. Along with Dylan, who would obviously be searching for Kaitlyn.
Adding scrapped dialogue back in to make scenes make more sense and more fleshed out. Kaitlyn's whole, "You done?" line makes zero sense without Dylan and Ryan's scrapped lines.
Making the ending better. I thought the ending of The Quarry SUUUUUUUUUUCKED. We get this intense car chase with Silas and then we find him curled up in his cage? BORING. It was super anti-climatic (and I get it, covid happened) and should've been more fleshed out.
Also, FIX LAURA'S HAIR!
Looks like you shot him. Is there a problem, officer?
Another one cover for my fanfic. AU, where at the beginning of the story Travis was bitten by Silas. Now he's a werewolf. And now it's a big problem in perspective, because Travis has been a dog all his life without the curse. Description: "The plan had been clear - to be in camp the day before the deadline. But someone else's hand had dealt the cards differently: first the old woman, then the accident, and now this creepy cop out of nowhere, now halfway to the hospital, methodically staining the interior of their car with his own blood. The hitch brings them to camp on the exact date agreed upon - not a day earlier. The sheriff is surprisingly here too, good as new, barely wrinkled, but the odd vibe from him twists her stomach in a knot.
That's how Pavlov's dog looks at you" Here's the link. The language is Russian. I'm not a native English speaker, unfortunately. I don't even know if it makes sense to look for a beta-reader to try to translate this work.
I finished the cover for my fanfic. The Quarry х Skinner crossover. AU where Travis Hackett and Dennis Skinner are the same person.
Description:
"Travis Hackett is a mentally ill man. In the past, under the alias of Dennis Skinner, rightly nicknamed "the skinner", he freshened up young women. Caught and sentenced to confinement in a mental institution, he was considered inoperable for decades.
Laura Kearney is a young professional thrown into the North Kill asylum by chance and academic assignment. It is she who is to conduct a peculiar interview with a patient who has been incarcerated for twenty-eight years.
On the day of his release"
Link in the notes.
me seeing people shipping about-to-be-college-student laura kearney with a 56 year old cop
Dylan in the 80s outfit my beloved...
I really want to like Dylan x Ryan but the way they kiss once (which is optional anyway) and then banter and then never talk/see eachother again and we never get any follow up, makes it really hard to
I didn't know John Cena was in The Quarry
i ended up getting ahead of myself and writing a little bit for all the ideas in my notes
