I haven’t read TVA (yet!) but the promise of clothes from the Venetian Renaissance is enough to make me want to draw (book armand AND amc armand because i love them both)
more armand bc he’s literally perfect
during these weeks I’m reading The vampire Lestat for the first time and I can’t stop sketching Armand everywhere 👉🏼👈🏼 I’m still not sure about his design and I’m aware that here he looks like a child but I plan to fix these things in more serious fanarts... for now I can only offer you a tiny person with enormous eyes
giving me access to word art was a mistake
daniel molloy character of all time once again: like imagine you’re a 20-something drug addict and a terrible journalist on account of being 20-something and a drug addict and you randomly meet a vampire at a gay bar and you think wow I might get drugs, gay sex and a story out of this and instead what you get is psychologically and physically tortured by his husband and your memories of it all erased and then 50 years later you’re DYING and those vampires show up in your life again to ask you to write the story of their happy marriage and your memory might be fucked but ON GOD you WILL ruin that marriage if it’s the last thing you do. and then not only do you succeed and walk out of it alive, but also with a bestseller, millions in your bank account AND immortality AND the knowledge that your annoying human ass was somehow the one thing that made that 500+ year old predator so mad that he broke his lifetime vow to never turn anyone. AND, on top of that, you’re out of the CLOSET.
I finished season two of Interview with the vampire, OMFG
first of all, I loved watching Louis get revenge on the coven. I didn't like the coven when they were introduced I had a bad feeling and I was right. I also loved Louis's little message at the end there, the ego lowk fits him for someone who started out so self loathing.
Second of all that poor girl Claudia HAD NO CHANCE OMFG. The second she gets a chance ARMAND HAPPENS. Claudia is done so dirty over and over and over again by all the people in her life. It's like watching adults consistently fail the child they were meant to care about over and over again. Then the second the child gains autonomy to make their life better, adults swoop in and fuck it up. I could go on about Claudia. Even after what the motherfucker did to her she still had hope that she'd find some decent vampires in Europe. She never once had the thought to turn a young person like her into a vampire because the girl wasn't selfish and reckless. AND LOUIS, my guy was so FUCKING desperate for external validation he kept abandoning the one person who never left his side.
DANIEL MOLLOY YOU SNEAKY MOTHERFUCKERRR. I can't believe he shacked up with Armand after spending like two weeks breaking apart Louis and Armands relationship it's actually iconic of him.
THE FACT THAT LESTAT SPENT 77 YEARS IN NEW ORLEANS, WAITING FOR LOUIS OMFG
In closing
I need season 3 like now
My two favourite characters so far are Daniel and Claudia.
Louis is... uhhh nice sometimes, I love him but dude stand tf up.
Lestat is funny and but also would never wna be friends with him
Armand, I'm confused why are you so possessive over Louis like come on now.
I learned that armand owns an island in florida so I made this
Armand: "I had never made one. The idea repulsed m— repulses me."
Armand when Louis leaves him alone for two seconds with Daniel:
My new neighbors watching me hang my laundry on the line
Zero drama. All chill. Sippin on sunshine and good vibes.
When Daniel asked for some fcking Aspirin in 2x4 I barked out a laugh and was like, oh yeah that'll ficking fix you, Will Graham.
ASPIRIN: The Real Fun Boy's Drug.
Anne Rice was an author who had a really complicated (and fascinating) relationship with fans and fandom … but she leaves behind quite the literary legacy, that helped pull a genre and monster into the modern-era.
Condolences to those who loved her, and her words.
People are going to have so many different takes on Anne Rice’s legacy … but one of my favourite odes to her is ‘What We Do In The Shadow’ opening credits and Harvey Guillen’s pure-soul Guillermo de la Cruz character cos-playing as Armand. Perfect respect.
A moment’s pause that tips it’s hat to the fact that you don’t get to ‘What We Do In The Shadows’ without ‘The Vampire Chronicles’
Vale.
kyaaaa I'm late to vampire school *runs out while holding a dude by the neck in my mouth*
