Я слышал от врача скорой помощи, что, если на месте вызова в воздухе запах ванили, то это смерть. Без вариантов.

I heard an EMT say that if there's the smell of vanilla in the air at the scene of a call, it's death. There's no way.

Мозг, поскольку потребляет много глюкозы, закономерно и логично имеет сладковатый запах. Запах ванили довольно близок.

The brain, because it consumes a lot of glucose, naturally and logically has a sweetish odour. The smell of vanilla is pretty close.

Но в тоже время, я читал некоторые посты хирургов и практикантов с довольно жестокими историями.

But at the same time, I've read some posts by surgeons and trainees with some pretty brutal stories.

Среди историй мне попалась рассказ об пострадавшем в транспортной аварии мужчине. Переломы, внутреннее кровотечение в брюшной полости и травма головы. Все травмы закрытые, казалось бы, всё не так плохо. Спасают бедолагу два хирурга: один вскрывает брюха, второй череп, что бы избавится от внутреннего кровотечения.

Among the stories I came across was that of a man injured in a transport accident. Fractures, internal bleeding in the abdomen and head trauma. All the injuries are closed, so it doesn't seem so bad. Two surgeons save the poor man: one opens the abdomen, the other the skull to get rid of the internal bleeding.

Нейрохирург вскрывает череп и не успевает он что-то сделать, в сделанное им аккуратное отверстии черепа вылезают и взрываются мозги. Наверное, из-за кровяного давления в черепе от травмы головы, скопившаяся кровь просто вытолкнула мозг.

The neurosurgeon opens the skull and before he can do anything, the brains come out and explode in the neat hole he made in the skull. Probably because of the blood pressure in the skull from the head injury, the accumulated blood just pushed the brain out.

Практикантка писала о том, что никогда не забудет как попавшие на неё и хирурга мозги пахли сыром.

A trainee wrote about how she would never forget how the brains that fell on her and the surgeon smelled like cheese.

Почему конкретно в этой ситуации мозги пахли сыром, я не уверен. Возможно, это было связано с каким-то заболеванием, или из-за того что они буквально взорвались.

Why exactly in this situation the brains smelled like cheese, I'm not sure. Perhaps it was due to some kind of illness, or because they literally exploded.

В итоге этого увлекательного погружения в нейрохирургию с летальным исходом пациентов я пришёл к мысли, что Кренг как существо, имеет сладковатый запах ванили.

As a result of this fascinating dive into neurosurgery with fatal patient outcomes, I've come to believe that Kreng, as a creature, has a sweet-smelling vanilla odour.

All right, I won't steal you turtles. But I'll let you love you and squeeze you! And come visit. It's very important!

Ну или я всё равно кого-то да украду. Но обещаю возвращать. Наверное буду возвращать. Как таких милых черепашек не красть? Это выше моих сил

Or I'll steal someone anyway. But I promise to return it. I guess I will. How do you not steal such cute turtles? It's beyond me

Ладно, я действительно, неожиданно для себя, поймал фиксацию на черепашках. И так же неожиданно нашёл в черепашках антистресс.

Okay, I did, unexpectedly, catch a fixation on turtles. And I also unexpectedly found an anti-stress in turtles.

Между неофициальным препаратом успокоительного и черепашками, я склонен выбирать черепашек. Жаль только, что на работе их не порисуешь, конечно.

Between an unofficial sedative drug and turtles, I tend to choose the turtles. Too bad you can't draw them at work, of course.

Это всё ожидание последнего экзамена в колледже. Мне нужно больше черепашек.

It's all the anticipation of the last college exam. I need more turtles.

Ninja Turtle Scale Color Comparison

Here's the colors comparison for the scales. Most of these have a light to dark scale, but the exceptions are 2016 where the 'highlight' is the tan area around their mouths, and 2018 where I show some additional colors on their skin, like Leo's red marks.

I feel like 2003 is a little dark, but that might be because of the picture I chose. Or it just looks darker with the colors separated.

I have the results of the next poll, and I still have shell colors to finish up and post.

When I get the eye color comparison (result of Poll 2) then I'll make Poll 3.

I plan on redesigning the turtles, but wanted to share this old ones 'cuz I think they're pretty solid !! I have more doodles of Raph and Donnie than Mikey and Lee, but is still a work in progress :)

Raph is my favorite design out of the four, but as a multiversal Raph Kinnie i'm completely biased lol-

Seeing TMNT aus i always noticed a big lack of disabled Raph rep, so I took matters into my own hands!! Look at him go with his hotwheels crutches !!

I love this little evil genius and his silly mask-bun, and the concept of Donnie being the physically strongest and biggest brother was too good to let it pass !!

The Transfem Leo headcanon from 2012 is one of my favorite things, so I obviously did it in my au! Also love her socks, this kid is fabulous !!

Michelangelo

This little fireball of a child is so chaotic and bouncy! Holding anger issues and a will to fight just as big as his big brother, they're a spicy duo !!

I'm kinda sad to not have doodles of Mikey and Lee, but I swear I'll make them tons of doodles when I catch up with working on this au again :)
